The lead free H&N baracuda pellets are actually made from 99% Tin & 1% copper, no aluminium at all in lead free pellets. I work at a factory that makes the wire that supplies some pellet manufacturers.
Whoop whoop Friday and what a banging day . Watching aar on air , what a great start to my day . Off to the range today to use my new vulcan 3 . 177 🖖 . Good day Andy 🇬🇧
Brilliant review as always my question is would you consider reviewing the worst rifle/pistol just so any new comers would know what to avoid at all costs everyone seems to just review brilliant rifles/pistols it would be interesting to see which you wouldnt touch with a barge pole and why? just a thought ;)
Unfortunately, we can't get the Buckmark Magnum here across the pond in the U.S..... so we settle for the just the Buckmark pistol 😢. Oh well! Another stellar review!!! Thanks again Professor Andy!
Hi Matt I remember my first air gun being a tempest back in the late 70s ,wish I still had it cause I remember it being a great little pistol which I had a lot of fun with 😁
@@andycarp1288 I think I first shot one back in the late 70's but had such a growth spert at 12 went to rifles... Still with a springer though I have a BSA Lightning now. But still just garden plinking...
Thank you, sir. I really wish you had done a test of the pull weight on the trigger. I have the Browning Buckmark and the pull weight on its trigger was awful out of the box. If I tried to shoot one-handed, the pull weight was so heavy that my hand would shake badly. I replaced the sear spring and sanded the sear to get a reasonable shooting experience from the pistol. So tell me, sir, what is the trigger pull weight on this magnum model ?
Great demonstration "In going to do it off a rest. People complain about my rest. I don't care. I get reasonable results from it." First shot is dead Bullseye 🤣🤣🤣👍 Really great vid thanks. 🙏👍
Thank you for the review, Andy. Even hearing doubts in your voice I decided to try it. Sent back the same day. Maybe I got a defect one but the barrel was pointing slightly upwards, not aligned with the body, it looked weird.
Hi Andy. Great review I do have a question I really hope you can help me with. I've just purchased one of these Buckmark Magnums 177 as a result of your review. However when it arrived it does not have a dovetail rail for added sights? Is there more than one model as I thought it would be the same as the one in your review.
Great seeing another entry level gun. Good review. Would it not pay to shoot this type of pistol over 6m rather than 10? Regards to all, this happy Friday
Let's hope that the BASC proposals gets support and that we will still be able too shoot lead , 10m might be ok with the green but if you're shooting living things, I don't think that there is a alternative yet been invented for anything under a rim fire, certainly not for airguns !!! Good review 👍👍
I like the 3 new break barrel pistols Umarex presented but I believe they are just a bit over canadian limits and will not be avaible in canada [Stop bill-c21 handgun freeze and airgun/airsoft ban 🇨🇦]
As always you provide a informative and fun video to watch. I’ve been a shooter for over 50 years and have always had an air gun, mostly a rifle, to practice with in my backyard. Watching this video really makes me seriously consider buying the Browning. It really is a no brainer as I already own a “real” Buck Mark .22 and love it.
Theese shoot well. Yes the trigger is a bit squidgy, I fitted a solid red dot sight, and removed the front sight post, as I found it would dig into your hand when cooking it. All round its good for the money, and prefers light lead pellets 👍
Just brought 1 ,, noticed they sold me domed ultra magnum pellets at 14.3gr!!! What does that mean for the gun considering on the excellent video using around 7.3 gr ,, novice talking 👍🏻
Nice review, I love my hw77 but I also like my aa s510 carbine aswell variety is the spice of life so they say, but yea springers bring me back to my child hood days for sure.
Considering the part you crank on to load the weapon is polymer and you don't have a option for a silencer (whether needed or not) is a bad design imo. The long 2nd trigger pull is also no good. The fact that it doesn't hit the maximum listed FPS without alloy is a nasty tactic I either companies would abandon for true lead FPS. I'd buy a Hatsan Mod 25 Supercharger with vortex piston before this for all the reasons listed above.
hi andy , can you put a link for the correct weaver dovetail adapter rail , for the red dot sight - spx1x22 on my buck mark magnum , im having trouble finding one after watching your review, thanks
Hi Andy love your reviews , I went out and bought the Buck Mark Magnum, trouble is the pistol shooting to high I have run out of adjustment for the rear sight and one red dot could not adjust low enough I managed to get a hawk red dot to adjust low enough to get it zeroed I tried different ammo same issue do you have any ideas,
A great review as per, but are there any air guns you don't like? Like this is a genuine question, are there any brands or particular guns you just think...nope.
Andy don’t think you mentioned the trigger pull effort, you normally cover most aspects of a gun. When you Did the similar Rugger MK lV you found it very heavy which makes me think you found this Browning more acceptable.
Andy. It would be good when you do your outdoor shooting to have your camera image closer to yourself, as you are too far away to see the target grouping detail.
Rugged looking and capable low cost springer target pistol. Thanks for the review Andy. Anyone like to comment on the use of Aluminium pellets in a springer?
Hey Andy is it possible for you to do a video on the most powerful and best quality hand guns for the UK in 2022 please. I'm thinking of getting the HDR 68, and something else similar to the Walther PPK. I have the Walther but it broke in the end unfortunately after plenty of use. I like the Baretta XX-treme, however I'm still unsure about what I should get... I want something with the most FPS and Joules, and something accurate! I know it sounds a lot but it's something we all want to see! 😄
@@andymeredith6921 I ended up buying a Walther PPQ 43 Caliber t4e pistol, great fun and feels like the real thing. Shoots about 7 joules on a full co2 (depending on ammunition) and the accuracy good. Can't be happier so far! Thanks for the recommendation though mate
Of the budget sprinter pistols reviewed of late , which would be the consensus recommendation for a novice such as myself for shooting tins in the garden ?
The long sight radius will make more precise aiming. It is a rather large for a pistol and the action is as big as one used for a rifle. It might be one from the size it looks to be, it should be accurate and have ample power. I think I am more in favor of of the Ruger model rather than this one. The size and weight suits me better. I am not too sure of the lifespan of a red dot sight on Spring-powered air guns. They tend to turn any budget priced sight into junk from the battering of a spring action gun. another great review. 🙂
I don't like the springers so much. I have a Benjamin Trail NP Pistol in .177 with the air dam. I have put a red dot on top. after several pellets, it is settling in and is quite accurate, very accurate actually. I use it around the barn to take out rats. all of my break barrels have air dams. if they ever make this pistol with an air dam, I will be first in line to get one.
Hi Andy where do you get your black & white splat targets I can’t find them anywhere thanks. The people moaning about the rest are not at our age yet and can still see and stand up for longer 😁
Nice review Andy but please do your research, they are not aluminium pellets, aluminium is far too hard to use. This could confuse the new people who want to start shooting! H £ N use tin, zinc and plastic in their green pellet line up!
Why don't Umarex make the Browning Buckmark Magnum & Ruger Mark IV in a .22 caliber like the originals instead of the .177 caliber? I think if you are going to make a reproduction of a pistol in a break barrel then make it the same caliber and that is why I want buy these. Now the Benjamin, Beeman, Hatsan & some others have their own designs and offer their break barrel pistols in .177, .22, .25 caliber pellets. Be really great if Umarex would step up to the challenge.
It has been 20+ years since I was last into airgun shooting, so could someone please tell me whether I can order this pistol mail order these days? I seem to recall that the law has changed on this point. Thanks in advance.
Andy, thanks for the helpful vid! I bought that red dot you recommend for my Buck Mark Magnum but it doesn't fit. Did you use some kind of adapter? 6:47

I bought one of the red dot sights he shows on this however its fitting is much wider than the dovetail rail on the gun. Andy's looks like it is attached directly to the gun without any sort of adapter. Can anyone help!
Hi, Andy! Walton from USA. Excellent review and quite a tack driver. Can you please provide specs ohn your neat little pistol rest and how and where can purchase one??
I've always had a soft spot for budget airguns, they're so reliable and fun.
Thats got to be the best budget air gun in the world it looks like a real fire arm, its powerful ,looks good, accurate ,and likes alloy pellets

how many gram pellets are best?
Looks an interesting back garden plinkier

The speed of the pellet won’t be the issue if lead is banned, it’s the accuracy.

That pretty much goes for any projectile weapon......
