Guy truly cares about his fighters. He still stands on the side that says the Alex/Izzy fight wasn't stopped early. It is telling that he says this and that it prevented him from being further damaged
Yeah he nearly quit training a decade ago because his fighter died in the ring so he’s very sensitive about it and normally happy with sensible stoppages
He said that last year as well in another interview, right after the match, so this might be his first interview of this year.
guy has shredded his reputation and fostered a culture of paranoia. Alex acted so good in the cage, then by the time he was back with DAn/Bareman they convinced him he was robbed and the guy was cheating. It's how people who can't handle losing behave. It's sad to watch as a huge fan of Volk and CKB

He did not say that Islam used it, he brought it up because everyone kept saying he used an IV. They shared two Twitter photo's. The first one is posted with 23 likes and 0 retweets and the other with 19 likes and 1 retweet. Sounds fake and even if it is real. Nowhere in the Tweet does he admit that Islam used it and even if he did, they can investigate if it happened within the regulations.

I really respect someone that can be honest and say they'd be biased and always be biased when it comes to fighters on his team.
Ariel tends to do that sometimes... force-feed HIS narrative unto other people's story-lines. Eugene said it many times before, but kudos to him, for yet again, not capitulating to the easy out Ariel provided. Adesanya lost fair and square. It was NOT an early stoppage.
I actually think it was stopped early (compared to the norm) and Ariel was spot on with his analysis. That fight was stopped because of the narrative of Periera's power, not because of the state of the injured fighter, and you can tell by how long other fights are allowed to continue, as well as how lucid Izzy was immediately afterwards - even able to explain why he was looking at this opponent's feet (trying to predict a knee). It actually shows their strength of character in the fact that they would rather just not complain and prepare for the rematch instead

Makhachev needs to sue the Hooker for defamation.
USADA actually made accommodations for Floyd Mayweather to get a banned IV in 2015. They are a testing organization, not an athletic commission/governing body, therefore they should not be in charge of giving out exemptions. They only disclosed it because Team Pacquiao put it in the fight contract, & they waited until 3 weeks after the fight to disclose it & grant a retroactive TUE for Mayweather’s post weighin IV use.
Long story short, there’s actually a history of USADA turning the other cheek when banned things are going on…specifically when it comes to IV use that is banned by WADA code that USADA claims to adhere to.
Well he did get an IV it's just how much. His defamation is weaker than the accusation.

Eugene was very honest and told Volk after round 3 “you need the next two to win.” Islam clearly won the 4th. It was a generous 3-2 could’ve been 4-1 if the crowd wasn’t roaring for every Volk miss 😂. The insane bias about this fight is RIDICULOUS

Their camp always errs on the side of Caution when it comes to scoring rounds, they've talked about this a few times in the PAST. They are not cheerleaders and if a round is close even if they think they won it, they'll say what they in Volks fight. Which is make sure you get the next 2 to be safe.

Volk basically admitted round 2 was won by Islam - watch his interview flying home, he skipped discussing it. Same here Eugene said round 2/3 were split and he is biased. Add to that all judges and most experts scored Islam (published recently) - case closed, Islam winner of 1,2, and 4.

he fought Jeremy Stephens ( poke in the eye) after that fought again Jeremy in 2019 who was coming from countless loses and done in the UFC, than lost to max then won by doctor stoppage vs ortega and than got a title fight.

Mendez & Eugene are my top 2 favourite coaches...most coaches can teach a fighter in the gym but what separates them from the rest is they tell it like it is with full respect

Btw the Australian commission came out and said there has been no evidence of any1 using IV at UFC 284. And if there is to let them know but still yet nobody has come forward with any evidence. Don’t accuse if you’re not sure it happened.

according to the stats, it was the other way around. also two knockdowns for Volk
@@ivaolo Most of Volk's total stats can't be used for context because at least 30 of his strikes were pillow fist strikes to Islam's face in round 4 when he was just desperately punching. Those were all non-significant strikes and the judges don't look at them. Take all those strikes away, and on the feet, Islam outstruck Volk in nearly every exchange. Islam was countering Volk with a punch in almost every exchange they had. Also knees in the clinch, he even landed an elbow that cut open Volk's left brow. And lastly, Volk did NOT get two knockdowns, he only got one, in the last 60 seconds of the fight. The supposed "knockdown" in the second round was NOT counted as a knockdown because Volk's punch didn't even connect and Islam fell because he was backed up into a cage. This is very easily seen in alternate angles/replays of that exchange. Islam won 4-1

Rodriguez is very good fighter but he rarely fights twice a year. The Max Hollaway fight he had a strong 2 rounds but the last 2 an a half rounds he got battered so I can't see how he can beat p4p King volcanovski who is a beast. Arnold Allen would be a better fight against volcanovski..
God bless Bareman, the fighters and the fights he gives us is worth all the accolades. And if you know about his history 100% would feel the same about the Izzy stoppage.

This interview went very well with Eugene showing a lot of respect and honesty until Ariel brought up the stupid early stoppage between Adesanya and Alex, and then the stupid rumor of the IV... Should also have asked Eugene about Adesanya's chest hanging lose once in a while due to the reason being weed according to him, which was weird... Islam clearly won the fight. Round 1 and 4 went to Islam and round 5 to Alex. And then there's round 2 and 3 that were close, but Islam had more of a MMA approach with damaging shots as well, and MMA judging don't give any credit for a grappling and striking defense, nothing that's related to defense, unlike boxing rules...
