I was so glad when Khabibs other gym sent him to AKA. He outgrew his other gym. They told Javier they have the next champ coming to them. What a great journey it has been throughout all these years.
Then we will have Usman Nurmogamedov come to UFC after islam retires. He unbelievable! He’s only 24 and is the 155 champ in Belator. He beat double champ Pitbull.
Then you have Umar too.
Things will only grow from here. Khabib paved the way for all these amazing Dagestan fighters.
This is totally changing UFC game.

Islam trained his ass off to prepare for Volk, he's not taking him lightly one bit. And it seems Volk is doing the same. This fight is going to be insanely high IQ + high skills!

Agreed bro, the narrative that he’s taking Volk lightly is stupid. He knows how dangerous and difficult he can be. Islam vs Volk will be a chess match.
People just forget, the man who Coached Khabib alone through his almost whole UFC career and made him Champion, Javier Mendej, himself is with Islam. Khabib knows It's not necessary for him to be present. But its's necessary that Coach Jav is with Islam. The fight with Olivera, how Javier grabbed Khabib and told him to Calm down, that indicates who is the real coach.
Coach Jav always keeps it real. The most realistic coach I've ever seen. And he is humble. Always he is real with what he has and what the opponents have.
Anyone would be pissed how people question him about absence of Khabib as if Coach Javier is no one. But despite that he always gives credit to Khabib and his father. The man himself was a champion and made several champions before Khabib or Dagestan boys. That's how humble he is. He doesn't need to talk. His achievements talk.
You just heard the man say Khabib is the best coach and trainer but then your emotions gets you carried away 🤔

Javier Mendez is a great human being
I love hearing Javier Mendez' insights into some of the most intriguing fighters and athletes in the world. It's funny I always see comments on clips of him saying how bias he is and of course he would say that. In reality he is always transparent, fair, and acknowledges things for what they are. He has gained enough trust for me to whole heartedly believe the tales he tells of the training rooms and how highly he ranks them. He hasn't been far wrong thus far. This is the pinnacle in combat sports history - we're truly blessed.

First time ive heard Coach speak in an interview where hes holding the floor so long. Theres the reason Team Khabib and others hold him in such high esteem, dude is a great listen, BUT Ima STILL Oi Oi Oi for my Ocker cuzzie from across the ditch.

So, i thought when Islam said "No one can beat Khabib, not even me" was just to be humble and nice, but theres quite few people saying it now, even coach Javier. Khabib isn't as strong as he used to but still win against Islam, his fight IQ must be through the roof.
I’ve said this for many years. Nobody is beating Khabib. Look at the big guys he takes down at the gym. Look what he does to 220 pound Rockhold.
That’s why Usman always said he would never fight Khabib. Usman knows him too well as they are also friends. Khabib at 170 is even more dangerous.
Khabib is the art of mma. He’s been doing it since 5 years old.
Remember Khabib is the only one to ever win all his fights and never take any damage. Not even a bloody lip or nose. That’s unheard of and never been done before.
He deserves more hype than what he gets. He’s a legend. I’ve been a fan of him since day one when I bet on him as an underdog against that Iranian guy.
