You can still fish lady bird you just have to get out there really early in the morning and leave by like 11 because it gets so crowded. Your best bet lake fishing wise right now is Travis. Even with it being as hot as it is right now I can go out there and catch 30-50 fish on a decent day. Mainly just by slowing down and dragging soft plastics along bluff walls in 10-20 ft of water.
I just got a 15 foot job boat running and went to lady bird 2 days ago and only caught a perch on a perch swim bait 😂. I’d love to go fishing with ya one day or maybe even follow you around . I’ve seen your boat at the ramp a few times
Yah lady bird can be super hit or miss especially with the weather rn. Those fish will get super finicky and you have to go super finesse, a drop shot has been catching me good fish out there recently. But also I get that a lot of guys love to go out there and just fish big swimbaits to chase after biggins, I do it too but after 2 hours if I don’t get anything I get stubborn and give up on it 😂
First time watching your videos. Grew up fishing town lake with my dad in a canoe. Now I kayak fish on it at least 2 times a week. I’ll say what’s up if I see you.
How are you allowed to put your boat in Ladybird Lake ? Do you just run your trolling motor the whole time ? I didn't think boats with engines were allowed on that lake.
yep, but it sure is fun. catching them rio grande male perch, and huge bluegill justifies the skeeters and biting flies in the summer. hey, btw, thanks for uploading a wonderfully entertaining fishin' video. @@FishinATX
Heading out to Lady Bird / Barton this weekend. Heard fish are already bedded up in Barton. First tine fishing in Austin.
I love how respectful you are to the bass. Very cool to see. Nice catches. You got a new sub here 👍🏻
Really appreciate it man! Yah I take great pride in taking care and releasing fish
Do you have any suggestions for summer fishing in Austin? Ladybird seems a little warm to fish right?

it's a little too "peopled", and too many non-licensed fishers poaching anything and everything they can catch to feed their breeders.
Great video. Where are you putting in at???
At the small ramp just to the left of i-35, there’s one down a little ways to the right as well.

Hey is that ladybird lake or lake Austin because I’ve been told people can not use trolling motors without city permission
It’s ladybird, trolling motors are allowed they just don’t allow the use of outboards
Do u need to get a permit? Or just launch and play (trolling motor only)? Lol @@FishinATX
Nope no permit required, just launch and go fish!
Is that Dropshot the Berkeley powerbait?
Yep berkley flat worm

They are your just not allowed to run the outboard, lol which I didn’t know the first few times I took it out there.
Bullshit, I see alot of people running their outboards, even cops. I get in arguments with them alot
try bank fishing lady bird. i dare ya
I used to a bunch, caught some decent fish but it’s definitely much more challenging from the bank.
