I went today and the bite sucked lol. Glad I got on them when I did. Think we’re officially in the dog days of summer. Time to do some river floats and look for big frog eater. Get better soon man
@@JDsSwimbaitBassin lol it’s all subjective man. A lot of people’s pbs are 4 and 5lbs. Ive caught a few 8s and quite a few over 7. A 6 pounder will never not be a monster bass to me. The constant pursuit of 10 pounders is super overrated.

God bless and tight lines brotha!!
I fished down to the bridge for about 30 minutes but quickly went back to that mat and started punching. I knew they had to be under there. Just didn’t know it would be a 4plus ever cast 😂
i dont have much experience with a frog. on grass mats like that can you throw a popping frog and if so how do you work it? do you pop it or walk it back?
No right or wrong way to work it . I try everything. Walk it, pop it, work it fast making it slap the water, do a mix of all three. Just bring the bait to life. The fish will tell you what they want. On that 6.10 I could see bait fish running so I threw it in there and worked it really fast and as soon as I paused it she came unglued
That puts my best day to shame. I saw you that morning, was telling ya about the schooling by the bridge which was crazy the day before I messed up the 2-3s on my secret lure but couldn’t crack 5 lbs. watching you keeps me going back. Imma watch HOTD now
You just have to keep putting the time in. You will slowly start to figure it out man. It was even tough for me in the beginning. Practice makes perfect
Man that’s a hard question to answer honestly. Easiest thing to use would be some kind of Texas rigged bait, like a worm or crawfish and just drag bottom with it
I’ve fished LB from the bank for years - I’ve caught them on everything from cranks, to plastic, frog, jigs… my PB from there was on a black/blue jig pretty close to this area.
i know that feeling when everything becomes huge when your hearts beating that hard. congrats on the fish man.
Holy crap!!!!! Great day dude

@@JDsSwimbaitBassin for sure man. No problem. Just curious, but when does a fish become a “monster” to you? What’s the magic number?
Brother, been to Town Lake once and caught my first ten pounder, so much stuff to fish there, live an hour away but the damn traffic.....
Killin it as usual!
Just killin it a little more than usual on this occasion lol. Thanks man
Definitely a day for the book brother! #tightlines 🐟 🎣
Just subbed! 🫡
Btw what brand kayak is that?
Thanks a lot man. Old town topwater 120. Very stable but needs a rudder. Doesn’t track well without one, but I make it work
Thanks for the quick reply@@frogman8120
That’s the shit bro! That mat was a nightmare for my boat and ruined my day haha. Should have stayed stuck in it and fished !

Frog man a different breed😩
Looks like you got your punch on bro
Struck out after losing 2 today😅 I want that Tuesday back
Lol. That Tuesday was a special day. I might not ever have a day this good on Lady Bird ever again
you should stop by and fish around the texas rowing center thats where i fish

Hey dude, I just got an inflatable kayak and I'm in the area. Is there a launch spot with an outlet so I can pump it up before launching?

65lb power pro. Wasn’t enough for one of them 😂.
