I think selling those belts was the right call. Spells are so important when you hit level 12. Take the money and run. You can hold that camp longer this way without having to go sell. Good loot and good exp at the same time is hard to beat.
Hey I just seen you in W freeport last night. Was gonna say hi but wasn't sure if you were busy. Thx for introducing me to project quarm. Lvl 10 SK, been having a blast.
In a more recent video I talk about this a little bit. A commenter went into the code and it appears pets only get 1hp/tick more for sitting. It's still something and it matters more at lower levels but a little disappointing. I'm still sitting my pet though since I figured out the button is just broken.
on p99 pets could hit magic if they were the max pet for the lvl 12 spell. Necro pets could hit magic if they were lvl 11 under the lvl 12 spell. Since Quarm summons pets at max lvl rather than random level range as on p99, pets should hit magic by the lvl 12 spell.
Aweee yeah! I've been playing another game before this server launched and I'm trying to finish things up there so I can put more time on the server. That's my struggle!
Hey Classic, have you ever tried playing around with GINA? It can take some finagling to get it installed and configured properly, but I have found the buff/dot/respawn timers to be invaluable - especially the resist notifications. Let me know if you want some assistance setting it up!
A very, very tiny bit from Aradune TLP. It was originally required by my guild but they loosened up on it and so I never really went all in. Timers DO sound like a QOL that I need. I gotta stop being lazy!
@@ClassicEverQuest It was a pretty big game changer/QOL for me once I got it figured out. Obviously you can count in your head for how long a Fear lasts - 3 ticks, 18 seconds, easy enough? But for things like Intensify/Augment Death on your pet that have no buff icon to watch for when it's fading, or when Gather Shadows is about to drop, it can be a huge life saver/make you that more mana efficient. The other thing I really like it for is respawn timers. I enjoy learning a camp, and I've seen you do as well - when and how the mobs spawn, how hard they hit and what your pet can take, when and WHERE to fear, etc. But once I've got all of that down, the timer is nice to alt-tab or second monitor while waiting for respawns, and I don't have to keep that running brain clock on 13 minutes, 8 minutes, 16 minutes, 6 minutes, etc. For anyone reading this that might be intrigued, GINA page: eq.gimasoft.com/gina/GettingStarted.aspx (also has a download link) And a really good post on the EQ forums of how you can build/tweak your triggers: forums.daybreakgames.com/eq/index.php?threads/gina-issues.230352/
S Ro Orcs should drop belts. Trolls have a belt turn in quest too. The idea is killing S Ro Orcs. My only gripe about the human necro is poor night vision. It doesn't show up well in video/streams. After watching a bunch of different EQ streams, I feel like Dark Elf is the only race for content (or DE illusion). Probably not a huge deal, but more entertaining.
I've actually never hunted belts in S Ro, so I don't know the drop rate. I just know the quests exists, and you're supposed to be able to hunt S Ro orcs to complete it.@@ClassicEverQuest
True, it's not as dark as some other videos i've turned off, but it's still dark. Not so dark i'll turn it off. I just request future Dark Elves where you can, to avoid the dark.@@ClassicEverQuest
Really similar in gameplay. The mouse scroll wheel is currently janky but has a fix coming. The major difference is that it's going to end in PoP but is currently just vanilla. The devs have made some changes to bottle necks and poop socked legacy item drops to make things more accessible when it comes to standing around for hours just because. The raid targets are going to be forced rotation opposed to FTE or DPS race.
@@ClassicEverQuest The biggest turn offs for me were list camps. I'll have to poke around to see how they are handling all this and maybe i will jump back in. P1999 just left a bad taste in my mouth with Kingdom/Seal team pretty much buying off GMs
@@maxpower2511 So far the lead Dev SecretsPast has been super transparent about everything. They stream on twitch and you can watch them fix bugs, adjust different aspects of the game, respond to feedback, respond to GM tickets. It's actually really cool and refreshing when it comes all the drama p99 had engrained in it's history.
Didnt know the level of detail thing, just thought it was the client. Pro tip, ima try this when I can!
The comment section is great!

Hell yeah!
Enjoying the necro a lot great memories. L12 soon that will be a big power increase looking forward to seeing that. Thanks for the streams.
I'm really looking forward to that as well. Thank you for reaching out and commenting!

@@ClassicEverQuest I'm behind on videos 😀
Apparently /pet report health should show buffs/debuffs doesn't work on P99 at least so no idea if they implemented it on quarm :D
Okay, awesome! I'm going to check this out on the next play session. Thank you!
also enjoying the series. brings back memories..
Thank you!
my regular pants always turn into McHammer pants. usually after a few beers
Hahaha. Stop. Hammer time!
what i did back in the days is to ask a mage to summon a few magic daggers to kill wisps. :)
Thats a good call. Gimme some 100% WR bags while you're at it! lol

Nice! I knew it comes in at some point but couldn't remember which rank pet it was. Really looking forward to getting level 12 now. Thank you!
I can confirm the lvl 12 pets hit for magic dmg, but not the level 8 pet. Tested this on wisps in nek forest
@@boss_gamers thank you!
it was ghouls that you needed a magic weapon for.
And those darn Whisps too. My level 12 pet should have magic attacks so I'm looking forward to that and taking some of these creatures out!
I can't wait to get back from vacation today and get back on. My dru needs some playing time lol

Maybe the drop rate is abysmal. Cuz I went to commons and they drop like candy

Alot of necros running around?
Not really, good amount of mages, druids and shamans. Necros are pretty average. Rogues, warriors and wizards are pretty low.
