@PhDinHydro Thank you. I really like this zone too. A+ to the zone creator. A loving robot has an interview with the creator of the zone on his UA-cam channel.
@AdventuringwithMeech Thank you! Awesome, I'm glad it could be brought to light. The lore goes deeper than what's in game sometimes but I hope that's a good thing.
This was really well done. Shortly after launch, my buddy and I tried several times to get here because we heard it was awesome. We couldn't figure out how to get through Dagnor's, however, and died several times before finally finding the way. This was before maps, so we were flying blind. Was this from a lorebook, or other ingame lore, or did you have to make up a bunch of it? That's a lot of detail I've never heard before.
@mikeparsons1746 This is from an official everquest RPG book. It's actually called Dagnar's Cauldron. It's from like 2001 from the everquest version of Dungeons & Dragon's. I put some info about it in the video description if you want to reference anything. I actually have a question for you. There was nothing about Torklar Battlemaster. I did a bunch of research and the oldest post on the internet about him is from 2001 shortly after Velious launch. People are speculating he was added around that time being a quest NPC. Do you have any memories of him back in the day pre velious?
@@ClassicEverQuest I don't remember him being there at launch. I spent a fair amount of time in Unrest during the classic era, when Unrest would be jam-packed. I think it's one of my favorite zones, just because of all those memories. If Torklar was there then (on the ground level of the mansion down the right-hand hallway), I don't remember him at all. This video got me to thinking back to that time. I remember when the EQ monk community (I played a monk; human of course) was all excited about the discovery of the Azure Sleeves in Lower Guk. The hope was there might a whole set of it down there, like the mesh and netted sets. Monk armor choices were so limited back then we were desperate for better options. We were all dressed like a bunch of hobos.
@@mikeparsons1746 Haha, Monk life is a hard life. It's get sooo good though (over time) That's a cool story, thanks for that. Interesting that you don't recall him being there either. Still some mystery with that place! Awesome!
If Buddha was a 'god' with godlike powers... I suspect the most devout follower of teachings will be the most powerless. For them the siren calls of Innoruuk are hard to resist and their single minded focus upon their self enlightenment are the only defense against the darkness of hate! Innoruuk offers the illusion of personal power, but at what cost - ultimately hating your own self. But yeah, Quellious, let the poor dwarf go! Very unenlightened!
@@ClassicEverQuest I'm sure Tunare always looked at Innoruuk as a 'problem child' but that is a serious underestimation of his power. She can't help her maternal instincts (bless her)...

@piggvomit Haha, nice! Thank you! I picked up a pair for my friend during the filming of this video, lolol.

Truly a house of horrors right.
Ya know, there's a common theme of taking in a stranger and being betrayed in various places in Norrath.

Great job, think you need to fix the title though. It’s a Faywder dungeon, not Antonican.
