Snow, water, waterfall, smoke, fire, lava, volcano, fog, camp, tent, fantasy rainforest, flying valley, roots on rock, or any terrain like on Avatar, Game of Thrones, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy, etc. Keep going, bro. I'm from Indonesia and I love all of your works and videos.
Spent the last hour trying to find this video for the mushroom maker! Been working on a bunch of Underdark themed terrain and have never made mushrooms before.
I’m a fan of your videos, I love how simple and quick they are and how you make the process easy. I’d love to see you build a ship and sundries for maritime terrain!
Brilliant technique with the mushrooms! Also your method for doing the gold piles was so quick and easy that I blinked and missed it. Need to make up a stack of these for DnD and Frostgrave!
Stay with small and modular. I made a decent cave pack with oven baked clay. The pieces are heavy enough not to shift. I would suggest 4 walls sections, 2 stalagmites, 1 wells, 2 mine braces, and a ore pile.
So glad I found this video!! I need to do a piece of track that's been twisted into a pretzel and been trying all kinds of things that just wouldn't work. The foam rails are a perfect solution!! Now to look through all your vids for other genius ideas...
Nice video, as always! You could make a series about scenic bases, thatwoult be interesting. Like thrones withstairs, rocky cliffs, jungle, etc. That would be awesome!
This is perfect! I was wracking my brain for a way to easily make tracks that curve for a mine encounter. This will be a quick and easy solution, and I might even be able to use it without permanently attaching to my cave tiles. Thank you, also first time finding your channel, will definitely be back.
Something showing off water effects would be great to see, like a lake or pond, especially if you can show us how to build structures coming out of the water, like piers, jetties and platforms.
A cool idea similar to this one, maybe a cave entrance with Crystal formations? That's be a really cool one to see you do! Keep up the great work though bud! And thabks to maniac for recommending you!
Really great video, Trent! I can't believe I hadn't thought about "curving" foam like that. Really adds a lot of character, and if you use different stacked terrain I think this could really make a room have crazy depth. Great editing also, of course.
Cheers. Yeah I was thinking this world be perfect to make a multi level cavern. If you flip the tracks upside down too they make great wood bridges as well.
Bro you do amazing stuff - seriously talented & resourceful. Lads like you make UA-cam better. If you need another idea, GW are releasing Sea Elves soon so nautical/Atlantis terrain/scenery would get a tonne of hits
*Ideas* N°1. When armies go on long range patrol, they need tents, supply wagons, mobile kitchens, sleeping mats/beds, food rations, wash facilities, an equiped medical tent, a mobile command post etc. N°2. Dwarven/Viking village. As for the houses, these are a specific type of long, low, house that have thatch type roofs, and cross beams at the ends of the walls, with runic carvings, and top posts that extend out even further and have animal head carvings or antlers attached. There is always a smokery for keeping meat and fish for long periods. There should be a thatch covered Kings throne on a circular stone, base, with runic carvings inlaid in the stonework. Market stalls of wood with supplies of food, fish, and vegetables. There has to be a smithy to make all that dwarven armour and swords, with a fire pit, bellows and stone work chimney, again with runic symbols in the chimney breast so the gods can bless the weapons as they are made. N°3. I recently went into a "Dunham Mill" store and saw the huge assortment of false plastic and linen flowers they sell. When they have "leftovers" of 1 or 2 stems, they reduce them to 10p - 40p ! You can get a massive amount of highly unusual flowers, grasses, leaves etc. at a dirt cheap price ! Jungle or swamp terrain is definitely calling, as is the treetop home of wood elves, with tree houses with stained woods, grass roof's, rope bridges and walkways of string/twine and balsa wood. Think James Cameron's Avatar home tree, with a dragon "helicopter" pad ! Lifts where weighted stones lift wooden platforms and cages up the trees. N°4. Empire type town. Think 14th-16th century Bavaria, with three story houses, wooden beams all over, next to stucco plasterwork for the town's center and upper classes. These should have tilled roof's with overlapping slates, lots of windows, even some stained glass in the "Lord of the Manor's" house. While the lower classes live at the outskirts of town in wattle and daub 2 story houses, with few windows, smaller buildings, and straw roofs. There should be market stalls selling all types of food stuffs. With long terraced shops all connected together that have swinging outdoor signs made of bendable wire, above every doorway, painted to depict what the shops are, such as a feather hat for a milliners, a stout boot for a cobbler, a cotton reel and needle for a tailors, a pig for the butcher, a fish for the fishmonger, potion bottles for a doctor's, a red, white and blue striped pole for the barbers, whatever shops you want and of course, at least a couple of pubs, such as The Golden Lion and The Lamb Inn. There should be a town square with a monumental edifice on a plinth like a bronzed horse and rider, or a bronzed fighter with sword aloft. There should be a clock tower in the square, with four clock dials facing in each direction. N°5. Think desolate, windswept, dessert like Tattoine in Star wars. Isolated square buildings with outdoor stairs, windows with mesh covers, long pipe works that come out of the walls, bend and disappear underground. The roofs are flat with a wall surrounding the edges, poles extending through the upper walls to support the roof, with clear domes in the center of the roof to allow light in. There are nearby smaller single story buildings for the generators, with lots of conduits, antennas, pipe works, running out of the building and then going underground. Light browns, sand, gritty textures, a pole barn workshop with 1or 2 sides open, but cloth hanging down, attached a the four corners, to stop the wind, an animal pen made of thick balsa stick, like a horse stockade, and a sheltered small wooden stake building like a small stable. I hope this gives you some decent ideas for terrain making. You could have a 6, 8 or 10 week run where you make different things in each video that when combined, make a connected theme, like the dwarven village. Starting off with the longhouse in week one, the smithy in week 2 etc. Good luck, and don't forget to do your drawing plans and paint list so you get a cohesive look to all the buildings in a series.
This is awesome! You do really good job, your terrain looks great and I can,t wait to do it myself :D You probably have a lot of ideas what to do next but I propose Dwarven terain, for example tower :) Thank You for your job
Hi Miscast, old guy from Ireland. I really love your tutorials and use a lot of them in my dioramas. Ww2 and now Sci fi and Steam punk. You asked to see some of the stuff I doing but I don’t know how to send it to you. Are you on Facebook? Mate , I really look forward to your tutorials because your ideas are brilliant. Keep up the good work mate.
Your videos are fantastic. Especially the editing and quality. Top notch stuff. Next could you do some swamp terrain? There are some videos on UA-cam now. But I'd like to see your take on some swamp terrain. Next question, what system do you use for Wargaming and Roleplay? Thanks.
Great stuff as usual! Can you use GW spray paints for example on this or does it have to be something special? (With re: to the 2:04 tip of Eva being spray safe)
Little late to the party but for my Nurgle bases I want them randsacking an imperial castle and swimming in gold and on marble ground. Would you say gold piles are good for this kind of 40k base?
powersave2 so the reason why the mushroom footage was from a month ago is because I was working on a video dedicated to fungi lol. But that seemed a to specific of a subject so I reworked it into this. I made some big mushrooms the size of a model by just making a bigger mushroom maker and using some.wood dowel as the stalk. Then I made giant mushrooms by sculpting them from EPS foam with a knife and sanding them smooth. Maybe I'll work out a way to include them in the future.
I don't think it really matters what brand you use... I think it's the same. Buy what's cheapest or available locally, whatever is most important to you. I generally just buy the rectangle sheets, around 2.5mm-5mm wide is a good place to start but you might want to get a thinner or thicker one too. Hope that helps, experiment and have fun!
I think it's about time you made a castle. Spires, big walls, drawbridge, moats, real crocodiles...template for real crocodiles would be nice.
yo i need a response from miniac! make my day
Gothic windows, I want to see those sexy gothic window frames
Your approach and attitude about this hobby are so refreshing and approachable. Thanks for making these videos.
Snow, water, waterfall, smoke, fire, lava, volcano, fog, camp, tent, fantasy rainforest, flying valley, roots on rock, or any terrain like on Avatar, Game of Thrones, Assassin's Creed, Final Fantasy, etc.
Keep going, bro.

"No one will ever see the detail and effort you put into making it..." hahaha I love your sense of humour.
This is your best build, I love it so much :-)
Go home Brent you're drunk
Love it, so many good ideas in this video! Love the gold tops ;) Brilliant! Now to combine cart tracks with modular cave tiles using EVA...
Really liked that "mound of gold" idea. 👍
Gotta say, that mushroom mould is a masterstroke!
Nice video, as always!

Great to hear! Good luck!
Love those gold piles! So simple yet so effective.
These are so well and beautifully made, yet are so simple to do!
Love the gold and mashrom idea thanks for sharing
Something showing off water effects would be great to see, like a lake or pond, especially if you can show us how to build structures coming out of the water, like piers, jetties and platforms.
Awesome video yet again! Several crafts in one video, love it! Thank you!
I love the tiny mushrooms! I’d love to see a giant mushroom , like tree sized
I would call the "eyelash" lines "radial strokes". The lines under a mushroom are called "gills".
Love your work!
You learn something new every day! Thanks!
Wow this was so very cool! I have never seen any crafter on you tube create a gold mine set! Perfect for D&D or a a Fall out type rpg. Great job mate!
Thank you!
love the easy gold-pile idea! Must try it for one game!! :)
1:46 I guess I should donate, I didn't realise how dire your shirt situation had gotten
Awesome.
Love to see a water wheel, blast furnace and mechanical bellows done. The ones that dwarves use to refine ore. 😉
I was like "NO WAY?!" when I saw how you did the mushrooms!
I'd like to see a modular town where the buildings, decor, etc. You can then rearrange them for different sessions of gameplay and what not.
A cool idea similar to this one, maybe a cave entrance with Crystal formations? That's be a really cool one to see you do! Keep up the great work though bud! And thabks to maniac for recommending you!
My brain fell out with mushroom maker! It would be awesome to see some adeptus mechanicus style buildings.
It would be awesome to make some Corinthian pillars! Now that's a challenge! :D
Really great video, Trent! I can't believe I hadn't thought about "curving" foam like that. Really adds a lot of character, and if you use different stacked terrain I think this could really make a room have crazy depth. Great editing also, of course.

10/10 for the Art Attack Jumper dude! :D
Gotta pay homage to the greats ya know
That mushroom maker is cool!
Found you about half an hour ago
Love your videos
Gonna binge some more
Thanks mate! Very kind
THANK YOU!!! you must have heard my request!!!
Thank you sincerely, you’re a legend
Thank you for suggesting it!
Bro you do amazing stuff - seriously talented & resourceful.
Lads like you make UA-cam better.
If you need another idea, GW are releasing Sea Elves soon so nautical/Atlantis terrain/scenery would get a tonne of hits
Would be awesome to your take on the inside and outside of a fantasy tavern!!

Hi Miscast, I tried sending a few photos to your email but it just bounce back. Doesn’t recognize the address. Hmmm. ... stumped. 🤔
Appologies, I mistyped it: miscastterrain@gmail.com

Awesome vid. More 40k stuff would be cool
Viktor Nicht I'm trying to alternate between 40k and Fantasy stuff each video. Look forward to next fortnights!
S King EVA doesn't react with spray paint , you can use whatever you like :)
Some Sci-Fi Template would be awesome! :D
I love this channel so much. You're adorable. Maybe some evil laboratory or manufacturing ironworks for a future video?
This is an art attack. This is, art attack.

Impressive work as always! 🤗
Maybe the inside of a sci-fi space ship hanger?
Amazing job!!!! I would love to see something with military theme like a militar camp with barricades and destroyed buildings
Little late to the party but for my Nurgle bases I want them randsacking an imperial castle and swimming in gold and on marble ground. Would you say gold piles are good for this kind of 40k base?
I would love to see how you do crystals!

What about a fisher camp or a cave entrance?
Tyranid digestion pit or mine fields
Shits fire brother!!!!!! Very inspiring dude
That was awesome
look's great, love the vid.
How would you do bigger mushrooms, like giant mushrooms as big or bigger than 28mm minis?
powersave2 so the reason why the mushroom footage was from a month ago is because I was working on a video dedicated to fungi lol. It was a clever way to combine everything! Keep it up. I'll keep an eye out for other fungi bits.
i would love to se a town in ruins series :D with houses, church and more :D i need idéas for D&D :D
awesome as always! can you do Tau terrain?
Dungeon terrain for D&D would be cool.
Can you build an island, or a watch tower, or a cave, i would love to see all of these
fantasy type waterfall. I don't know what I mean. just not a waterfall that looks real but more mystical?
Hey Miscast, where you at dude ? We miss your great videos.
Im not a fan of D&D but i'd make this just to have it! it's super cool :)
realy helpful for my ork army
I wouldn’t mind ladders or doorways.
Seeing the tracks flop around was very *arousing.*
Dude..... you are definitely in need of the services of a professional if floppy rail tracks give you the horn !
what kind of balsa wood would you recommend for an american, so many brands and styles I'm not sure.
I don't think it really matters what brand you use... I think it's the same. Buy what's cheapest or available locally, whatever is most important to you. Please make a cool statue! Like a death angel with wings and a skull and a scythe! I would like to see that!
How about a library? Like, the kind from Harry Potter
