Is 4u really as good as everyone says? I don't know, I look over the monster list and it doesn't impress me as much as other mh titles. Besides, as far as I know the game has some balancing issues with its weapons where gs, cb and ig are better than the other weapons or at least ls and hammer aren't as good as in other mh games. Is it still worth getting?
Honestly all GU can add thats worth shit is the roster and Arts and weapons, world got it beat in almost every other way stories better and stfu about huner games shouldn't have stories, i prefer a story instead of bare bones garbage like GU, GU Is an excise for a story mode, doesnt matter, world has a better mission system and a way of attaining necessary parts. ie not repeating the fucking assignment, thank god for gold box investigations, it has a track system which makes farming easier, honestly scratch that the only other thing GU can add is JEWELS CUZ FUCK WORLDS JEWEL SYSTEM, but like mhw is better in almost every way, better story, better graphics, optimization which took away the annoying grind and helped the game hit the mainstream, honestly world is better imo
Nah, it's not the end for GU. Gotta have something to play when I can't use the TV. Besides, I only got a Switch and the game like 3 weeks ago and I only have 170hrs so far. No MH games dies after 170hrs, not even low-content games like Tri or World.
I'm 525 hours in and there's still a solid amount of content left for me to struggle though, although that playtime may be padded by it being all solo no-heal, so there's some struggles too ^^ Took me seven hours to figure out how to beat G Nakarkos >_>

I find the faster attacks and timing of animated attacks to be a fun challange, as well as the lack of guidance to the monster other than paintball to feel more like a hunt. The lack of conveniences can make it frustrating but also more of a challenge to prepare for and overcome.

Wholesome. Gen and genu were my first games in the series, and I think I’ll always see them as my favorite games in the series. They brought me here, and helped me find one of my favorite series of games as of now. I don’t think I’d ever forget these games.

I played generations ultimate as my first monster hunter. Therefore I picked up world and blew through it so fast. I'll always love generations ultimate for simply being so much more than my introduction.
I still need to beat 3u. I rushed 4u. MHGU is in progress also. Completely disappointed that I can't play my Digital download offline. So Iceborn all the way I guess.

I think it will be as it was with world for me. Played gen od 3ds. World came out. Played that for 2 month. returned to gen. After that got GenU on Switch. Played htat for long time. returned into world for 5 days. And back to genU. So when world comes out i will Probably get myself that sparky dogo armor. Play 2-3 days, and get back to GenU.

I never really got into MHG/GU and prefer the game without the styles, but I get why people like MHG/GU. It’s a shame too, since alchemy hunting horn was a big meme and was sorta fun to use as a new way of playing HH like I haven’t before.
