I’m a Yamaha tech and I can’t speak on that motor specifically but Yamaha outboards usually call for rtv (yamabond) on top of the gasket. I agree it’s stupid but that’s what the service manual says
Great video… back in the 1900’s I had an ‘87 Wave Jammer 500…. I was 15 and loved the versatility… Higgins Lake, Michigan…. Opportunity to buy a really nice shape 1990 650 LX on a trailer for 1k… that brought me to your video… how much faster the 650 vs 500? Noticeable?

I love them too! People age almost giving them away. They're great little skis! How's your Waverunner series going?
