If you have any specific questions about the brewery build, leave a comment and I’ll make a video with more detail.
What kind of camera are you using?
It’s a mix between my iPhone, canon 7D, and a GoPro.
Can you provide a ballpark of how much the whole project cost?

@@BrewCabin thank you! Planning something like this myself. Thanks for the video!
"Pipes In The Wall" is an instant country classic!
Haha!
Dude..... your level of commitment to both the hobby, and sharing the hobby with us.... is unmatched by anyone, anywhere, on all of the internet. Also... exposed pipes is sweet. That dude did you a favor.
Haha! Thank you! And he did me a HUGE favor. My pipes are currently frozen. The first garage dropped to 10 degrees. But no leaks ;-) and if there were, it’s an easy fix.
Lil John part made me LOL in a quiet office.
Haha! So glad to hear that ;-)
Exposed pipe has a cool industrial look. No worries about the aesthetics.
Yea I totally agree!
Awesome vid man... SUBSCRIBED! I like where this is going. Got a feeling this channel is gonna blow up.
Thanks man!

Great video! Great content! I am just exactly at the beginning so can't wait you start sharing your knowledge. Good luck!
Thanks! More knowledgeable videos are coming very soon!
This is awesome! Looking forward to a brewing video.
Thanks and there will be a plethora of brewing videos to come!
The song was amazing! Nice progress Matt! Congrats! Subscribed.
Awesome! Thank you!
I thought to myself about halfway through, this video is getting a little long winded... enter The Pipe Song! Blew me away, was so unexpected! I sat back and enjoyed the rest of the video! Congrats on the project and it turned out great! Sure beats the hell out of setting everything up on brew day in the garage and packing it down again on the same day! Super jelly!
Ha! Every one of my videos has an original song in it. I did it on this first video and it was such a hit. I've continued to do it on the rest of them.
High quality video. Loving it! Cheer's from Quebec, Canada.
Thanks!
So good! Really cool to see the entire thing from start to finish. Also, vid quality / style 👌
Glad you enjoyed it!
2min in and you deserve so much more views. Great content and next level editing. Thanks mate, loving it
Awesome to hear, thank you! More on the way 👍🍻
Nice vid! Love your brew space! I bought a house about a year ago and you gave me some great ideas for my area brewery.
Awesome to hear! Thanks 🍻👍
SUBSCRIBED! Cant wait for more content from you. Have fun in your new brewery!
Awesome! Thank you!
Dude this is so awesome! Im in the middle of looking for a new house and planning on doing something like this! Just subbed and look forward to the following videos to come!
Awesome! Thank you!
I'm working on something similar in my basement right now. I am in the planning stages of room size and layout. Awesome video and I'm subscribed.
Good luck!
Really really loved this video. Look forward to one day having something similar :) would love if you’d end it with a full video of the finished product (from wall to wall to wall).
I have plans to do a brewery tour video in the near future in the style of Mister Rogers Neighborhood LOL.
Excellent video. Plenty of info/detail PLUS entertainment. Rare. I look forward to seeing a video of your first brew tapped and tasted.
Thanks, Doug!
Awesome Video Matt. I was wondering where you have been (former/current Money Lab Listener) and I guess now I know. You have officially set a new standard for build videos complete with a soundtrack. Solid work and keep the content coming!
Hell yea! Thanks!
This is awesome, we are moving now and you are giving me great ideas
Have fun!
Great video, you have created a fantastic brewery. Looking at creating a mini brewery at home here in England and will use your experiences for inspiration, keep producing the videos
Thanks and will do! Good luck ;-)
Incredible project! Love to see the mini split.
Thanks! Keeps it warm ;-)
Simply put - phenomenal content on your channel. Subbed and will be coming back for more! I think I speak for most homebrewers in that I'm very jealous that you have such a space custom designed literally from the ground up for brewing - but that's amazing and I'm totally going to live vicariously through that! That's the dream. I'm very excited to watch what you do with this!
Whoa! Thanks so much and for commenting! I love your channel, so I'm glad you found mine. You remind me of Michael Dawson because you both have confidence in homebrewing. Would love to chat sometime ;-)
@@BrewCabin thanks for the kind words, Dawson more or less taught me how to brew with the old BrewingTV episodes from way back, so that means a lot! Looking forward to seeing more, and feel free to reach out!
Same!
Totally dig watching builds. I finally built my brewery last year. Still working some details out though.
Hell yea!
Interesting! Awesome video can't wait to see what's next
Thanks!
Great video, thanks for sharing, liked and subscribed :) I started building my home brewery in the basement of garage a week ago, it was a small storage room and it’s much smaller than yours , but I’m excited nevertheless :) I will definitely going to brew more often when I’ll have a permanent setup
Thanks! And I find myself brewing more than ever! It's so easy now ;-)
Love this video, fully informative and fun to watch. The song is off the hook, perfect! It makes me want to brew some beer. I know a few guys who love to brew beer. I have to send them your way for sure!
Awesome! Thank you!
damn, that's some sweet-ass set up right there! awesome content as always, Matt!
Thanks!
the finish is perfect...........a dream for most brewers.....good job...........cheers man......
Thanks!
I love your set-up mate, cheers, from Australia
Cheers 🍻
Fantastic job with the video and the online blog/write-up. Just wow. Awesome work man keep it up!
Thanks and will do!
Awesome video! I'd like a video that breaks down all your brewing equipment. Looking to build something up myself and want to see what you're runnin'..
Will do! I’m gonna do a full brewery tour video soon.
Awesome video! Definitely subscribed to your channel. Keep it up
Thank you! Will do!
great job, and a fun video too. I'm looking forward to more vids CHEERS!
More to come!
Love it, Matt!
Thanks!
The production quality on this video is insane! Can’t wait till your next video!
Thanks, Taylor! The next video will be about RO water for brewing. Already have most of it filmed. Just fleshing out the script and getting the rest of the shots.
Awesome! I’ll be building out my garage in a few months so I’m taking notes! Then hopefully a commercial space in 3-5 years
I respect what you're doing. Subscribed...
Thanks!
Enjoyed this video! Give me inspiration to get mine going one day.
Go for it!
GREAT video!
Thanks!
Oh my God, Matt! 08:52 for the win! Best of the Interwebs!
Haha! Thank you. Just watched it again and I want to put this out there for no reason. I played the slide guitar using a socket wrench that I have for disassembling corny kegs 😉
Great video dude! And also great guitar playing. Wished you'd have shown the finished brewery a bit more in the end but boy, that's definitely a dream came true
Sorry, didn't see your Instagram before publishing the comment 🤦🏽♂️ man that is just a lovely place, I'd stay there day in and out
Thanks! I plan on making a lot more videos that'll show all the different parts of the brewery over time. And I have an idea to do a tour video at some point too.
Nice job looks great.
Thanks!
Man that's dope! I wouldn't worry about the exposed pipes, I think that gives it a cool commercial brewery look.
Yea, I totally agree now!
Cool video, wanna see more of that brewery!
I’m planning to do a full tour video soon. Plus a lot more videos that take place in the brewery.
@@BrewCabin Awesome man, looking forward to that
That feeling of accomplishment, which turns to... "What now?!". Congrats on the billboard banger, and the brewery too I guess ;)
Haha! Thanks ;-)
Great video!
Thanks!
I know I'm late, but that music break was awesome!! First time catching one of your vids.
Glad you enjoyed!
Fantastic! The music was a great addon
Glad you liked it ☺️
Pure perfection!
Thanks!
Very nice space my man!! Lots of things look familiar... Hhhhmmmm lol cheers! 👍🍻
Thanks! And thanks for putting out all the really helpful videos that inspired me 🍻
Brilliant 👏 subscribed !
Thanks!
OK ok, First off.... The fact that this turned into a music video is 100% awesome. Don't stop doin what you're doin! Awesome is an understatement.
Haha! Thank you, thank you!
Well done!
Thanks!
Man I thought I was going to be watching a series on your brewery build! You would have had me the whole way through lol. Either way man great work and thanks for making this video really interesting and fun to watch. I'm subscribing and will definitely be keeping up with you. Can't wait to see what you have in store.
I mean, I plan to do a few more videos about building the brewery in more detail. But I also wanna do regular homebrewing content too.
@@BrewCabin I'll be on the look out! I just followed your IG as well.

Thank you kindly
Great setup, 40 days, you did well
Thanks!
Fucking amazing. Really solid stuff. Congratulations on your home brewery!
Thanks!
Great video! Homebrew 4 Life gave your channel a shoutout! SUBSCRIBED. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos as I’m a Colorado Native.
Oh hey! That's awesome! Where did they do that? I'd love to check it out.
@@BrewCabin it was on their sister channel. The Hoppy Hour. Right at the 5:40 mark.

Didn't expect to be that entertaining but BOY that was a fun video!!
Hell yea!
Love your channel! Your videos are awesome and I can't wait for the next one. One thing that caught my eye was when you showed your reverse osmosis storage vessel and pump system into your fill faucet. I also have a storage vessel for water but not as slick as that. What vessel is that? What pump is that? Is the water always turned on to make RO water? Thanks in advance and cheers!

I lost it when the song came on😂😂😂 what a legend lol
Thanks! Every video has an original song. The next video will have an entire album. I shit you not!
Can’t wait!!! Haha
Nice to see you brewing too.. I see you on swim university too
Haha! Yup! SwimU is my day job.
One of the best brew wtf channels i ever watch, chears from mexico
Thanks!
Discovering the drainasorus is the worth the price of admission. Building my brewhouse in the basement and that's what I needed to complete it.
That’s awesome! I looked up installing wet bar sinks and found it in a This Old House Video.
the good thing about exposed pipes, you see any leaks instantly, and they are available if you ever need to tap in to them for another route or source :) for a brewery - go visible every time my friend
Yea, I love that I can see them now. Much rather them exposed for that exact reason.
An alternative to a condensation hood would be a condensation catch lid for your boil kettle for anyone not wanting to install a full hood/vent, or riding a budget line.
Good call!
Awesome vid! super insightful...subscribed. What's been your favorite beer brewed in the cabin so far?
I made a Black IPA that I crushed 5 gallons of all by myself. I've been making NEIPAs, Kolsches, and random beers just to keep things interesting. I'm working on a NEIPA video as we speak. Should come out near the end of May 2021.
awesome!
Thanks!
Killer video man!
Thanks!
Hey doing the same now! Great job!
Thanks!
Great work big fella.
Thank you! Cheers!
9:44 ohhh the nasty hit !! lol
Haha! I added folly. Was done on purposed so I didn't hit it that hard. I recorded me hitting the guitar with my palm later for added intensity.
Out sick from a commercial brewery, laying in bed and found this channel. Thank you.
Enjoy! And get better ;-)
Amazing!
Thanks!
This is epic! Nice work 💪🏼🍻
Hey! Super big fan of your channel! Once all this mess is over, we should meet up sometime. Glad you found this video and flattered you enjoyed it 🍻🤗
@@BrewCabin I was thinking the same thing 😎 I’m in!
Liked for the song alone.. brilliant.
Awesome 👍
@@BrewCabin no video for 3 months though. Hope you are going to keep making these, they are really good 👍🏻
Great content as always, I wish you many brewdays in your cabin! Quick question, which kind of stopper do you use on your starter flask? Looks like some sort of foam, how do you sanitize it?
Yup, it's a foam stopper that lets air in. I sanitize it by soaking it in Star San.
That surprise music video = subscribe + notifications. Classic.
Haha! Thanks 🍻
Really nice video man. And you can sing?! :) GJ man, you just earned yourself a new sub. Best regards from Sweden
To be fair, the only part of the song I didn't do was the singing. I wrote the song, played all the parts, and recorded it myself. But I am NOT a singer lol. I had to bring in help for that.
@@BrewCabin Well, it sounded great to me :)
Hey Matt, congrats on the brewery and the video.
Any chance you could brew an Irish dry stout, like Guiness? Hands down my fav beer.
I can! As long as I don’t have to serve it on nitro.
LOL! John Denver Breweries. They came for the beer and stayed for the country tunes.
Haha! Love it!
I read in your blog post that you ended up upgrading your faucet to a larger size. How large is the new one? I've been looking at faucets online but don't have a good sense of how big they are.
Looking forward to more videos. Great work!
Yea, I just got the a bigger/taller sprayer. The short one was too short for cleaning kegs.
Love the video and have enjoyed reading the content on your site. One question that I have is about your garage door--I don't recall seeing if you addressed whether it's insulated or not and how you deal with any draft where the door meets the slab as well as along the sides of it. Curious whether you have done anything with it because I imagine that can have a huge effect on your ambient temps. Cheers!
Great question! I will add more details to my blog post about it. I called a guy who specializes in Overhead Garage Doors (that's the brand). He said my door was insulated, but thin. Likely an R-value of 7. He installed a new metal rail at the bottom of the door to accept a line of rubber insulation. Now when the door closes, there are no air gaps (except a tiny one in the center where the concrete floor splits. I also had him install a new belt-drive garage door opener because mine was 20 years old and the sensors didn't work. Which forced me to hold down the button until the door fully closed. Got that all fixed. I'll update the post with photos too.
Awesome video! Congrats on the brewery and the new country hit! A setup like this in a garage or out building is my goal! What do you use to heat up all your water? Cheers from Ontario, Canada
Thanks! I have a SS brewtech 10-gallon e-kettle (hot liquor tank) just for heating up strike and sparge water.
Love the RO setup. It sure beats gathering it in increments of 6 or 10L (1.5/2.5g) every few hours and really beats distilling 4L batches of water every 10 hours on my small distiller... Any issues with the float valve at all for preventing overflow?
Yea, it takes about a full day to get 30 gallons of RO. And the float causes pressure build up. So I only turn on the water supply when I need to gather RO for a brew day.
Hey Matt! Awesome video! I watched all your content last night lol. I’m just north of Denver too. Also pretty sure I saw you’re brewery in a magazine, am I right? It’s so clear you put 100% effort into your videos. The pipes in the wall song was incredible- tell me you were poking fun at the Tiger King? Cheers from Erie, Colorado 🍻.
Thanks! And yup! It was in BYO summer 2021.
@@BrewCabin No joke- I literally have a plumber working in my garage right now- putting in a sink for my home brew space. He’s putting the pipes in the wall (I got lucky because it’s an interior wall).
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
epic braj!
Thank you 🍻👍 so flattered BTW
Seriously, I need your same day job to help my my nano brewery!
My day job is running an online pool business. Will that help?
That "wall to the window" edit was perfect 😆
Thanks!
Need to see more content.
Coming soon!
Plumber is right. They will freeze. Seeing the pipes would look cool anyways. Just make them look good. You can always do some cool decor around the pex?
Yup! I just decided to embrace the industrial look.
Its realy Perfekt
Gratulation
Thanks!
Yeah, this is going to be a fun channel methinks
It’s comments like this that make me wanna one-up myself in the next video. I’m gonna try.
