New Teen Titans is my favorite team book of all time! I’d recommend looking up a reading order and going all the way through with the name change to “The Titans” I personally recommend a good stopping point being the “who is wonder girl” arc because it’s the last good arc before it really degrades in quality afterward. You can also stop when the roster changes and none of the original members are left. In terms of pre and post-crisis stuff, NTT was the best selling title of DC by far during the crisis so it’s one of the only three series (Green Lantern and sorta Batman) to not get a continuity wipe. Lastly, for that reason there’s a shocking amount of Silver and Bronze Age references in the book even post crisis. Specifically all the stuff with the Bronze Age team member Lilith that I would not have known had I not read the Bronze Age Omni. That’s the end of my soapbox lol. I love love this series and hope DC gets around to reprinting volumes 2-4 and we get that volume 6!!!!!

I have a long ways to go on my titans journey, but I knew I had to read at least the full first omnibus and include it in this video! I love that the team isn’t great at the beginning. But they start to listen to Robin and start fighting as a unit instead of separate battles!
@@TBATBMy childhood and introduction was the 2003 animated Teen Titans show that was based off the NTT roster (minus Donna😢) The same way BTAS cultivated so many fans of the DC Universe, that series did it for me. I really hope we get the spin off comic series titled Teen Titans Go! in an Omni or a compendium as they’re releasing a lot of animated spin-offs these days. However, they’ve removed that series and many others off of Dc Universe infinite so I’m worried!

For the record, the issue you were talking about in regards to Superman telling him about Bludheaven is from issue 9 of the Rebirth series.

Oh man my favorite superhero is nightwing he’s been my favorite since I was a kid I can remember trying to dress up like him for Halloween and no one knew who he was, I had to do a lot of explaining that night, now is a different story and he’s a fan favorite for meny now. But this video made my day I can talk nightwing all day and I have to say you made some good suggestions I’m glad you mentioned the outsides by Judd winick but there’s a few others you should read that I know you’ll love, like robin and Batman by Jeff lemire or Peter j tomasi nightwing, and trust me once you read Judas contract you would love it just as much as endgame! The build up to that was just as epic .. well for me at least! And before Kyle Higgins left to write radiant black he did leave dc with a fun nightwing book called new order where nightwing takes away the superpowers of all the hero’s and then chaos happens I don’t really want to spoil it for you bust still check those out whenever you can and I promise you won’t regret it !… also if your a Batman beyond fan and a nightwing fan read Kyle Higgins run on Batman beyond, in it terry gets mad at Bruce and can’t trust him no more so he ends up meeting with dick for guidance and then dick Grayson takes over for Bruce as the man in the chair helping terry be better person and end up on some wild adventures it’s a great and fun read if interested!
I have Batman and Robin by Lemire, and my friend who recommended me Outsiders also recommended tomasi’s Nightwing! Nightwing is amazing! He could have turned out just like Batman, but Batman did everything in his power to make sure he turned out okay. I was worried this video wouldn’t do as well as my Batman and Superman one, but more and more people are becoming fans of Nightwing so I thought it was important! I held off on NTT for so long because so many of the books were out of print. I use to be a physical book only reader. Now I do so much reading digitally that I don’t have to wait or pay out of print prices! I only wish I had this book when I met Marv Wolfman this year!
It is gonna be a great year for Nightwing next year man I can’t wait to get the 3 omnis for Kyle Higgins run and Tim Seeley’s rebirth run and Tom Taylor’s dude I can’t wait

The Tom Taylor run is incredible, I just wish it didn’t have to keep pausing for cross over and event comics. I wish we got more from Tom Taylor before he moves on. I will be following him onto his next book (I think Batman? Might be detective comics).
No lie I rate the Taylor run 7/10. I love the resolution build up to Bats and Dick making up and his solo adventures in it, But I hate the pacing for the Heartless story line and how Taylor keeps saying and writing Nightwing was great because of “insert reason” but never actually showed it in his run of how he could be great like that and instead always had him get help from the Superhero community. The current arc with Dan Watters is doing really good in that aspect of him showing how Nightwing is great
So unless this is a different copy, that story with the Superman robot isn't in that volume of Outsiders. That miniseries is called Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day. It ends those two books and launches Teen Titans and Outsiders
I read it digitally and it started with Graduation day the crossover event that starts the outsiders book. But they’re both written by Judd Winick. I only read the first volume but it contained the set up crossover, then the outsiders team fighting Grodd and then brother blood.
Here's what I'd say to start with. Firstly, there Robin Year One, you get to see Dick's first year as Robin and his early relationship with Bruce and Alfred. Next, there's The New Teen Titans by Wolfman and Perez, probably DC's most popular book in the 80s that made the Teen Titans what they are today as well as giving us massive character growth for Dick Grayson, most importantly in Judas Contract where he becomes Nightwing. Next, there's Chuck Dixon's run on Nightwing, his first and most popular run amongst fans that shows Nightwing protecting Bludhaven going against the local crime organization controlled by Blockbuster as well as introducing his relationship with Barbara Gordon and defining his new relationship with the BatFamily. Lastly, Tom Taylor's Nightwing run, a more recent Nightwing run that establishes Dick as a philanthropist in Bludhaven. From here, I think new readers will have a firm enough grasp on Dick Grayson as a character that they can pick whatever Dick Grayson stories they want to look at.
Where do you guys go to keep track of what books are going in and out of print (omnis, trades, etc.)? I have yet to find a good way to monitor those changes
There isn’t a great way to track sadly. For making a list of new collected edition releases coming out friend of the channel Dom of X helps run comicreleases.com which is awesome! As for when books are going out of print you can go on amazon and see how many you can add to cart.
