It's so crazy how I was feeling down today that most natural hair channels are now wig reviewing channels for the most part, and then my favorite natural hair channel that got me to start my natural journey AGES ago, posts a wash and go video. LOVE it👩🏾🦱♥
There is definitely a lot of wig content in these youtube streets but there are a ton of naturalistas still doing natural hair content like myself (curlsofacpa), Jenn Jackson, SheRae Delsol, Tresses of Alexis, Roger Dewayne, NJ Eberhart, Allthings Moelle and a couple more (these are the ones that come to mind lol)

I notice this as well. No one is genuine anymore. And if you have a natural 4C hair channel but you’re advertising other things like, hand bags, and costume jewelry and shit, I will unfollow. I don’t trust anyone natural hair channel, that uses products that white people use or if your page consists of you always making random ingredients and trying them on your hair, ITS WAY TOO MUCH TO KEEP UP WITH. I recently found someone with my EXACT hair type, but had to unfollow her because I noticed, when people would ask her what she used for her hair or the ingredients, she would never respond. Then she would sell the stuff that she used in her hair, but wouldn’t tell you what was in it. This shit is extremely frustrating. It’s like, when they found out that you could make money off of content, it started to become less genuine. Then you would see them trying to advertise other peoples shit, and it’s like …. THATS NOT WTF I CAME HERE FOR. Nobody wants to buy your friends creations or products from your sponsor.

I'm glad to see somebody else use the blow dryer on full blast, no diffuser. No sitting under a dryer for and hour. Quick dry and done.

I have been a follower for 11+ years and always learn something when I watch your videos. Today is no exception. I had not considered using the cream for my wash & go styles for reasons you stated. I will be incorporating it. Perfect timing as today is a wash day. Also stocking up on products & stashing them away as I have family members who recently discovered the "Melanin Wonderfulness" and seem to make it disappear quicker than I like🤣
Well I have to say at least she didnt change the ingredients! Thank you Whitney! Usually companies water down the ingredients and/or change it and then doesnt work for my hair anymore or doesnt work as good and it SUCKS because then I have to search around for another product. So If I have to pay for a couple more dolllars for a product that WORKS and last me a long time its worth it!!
Whitney, now that you're in school and so many folks are talking about no oils and butters, just shampoo, conditioner and mousse or wrap foam, will you share more videos like this on updated methods?

I want to hear her thougts too. I went to a salon and they scoffed at m fave products! Said no more butters and oils! I was like omg lol Many women might start abandoning butters and oils altogether, maybe she'll come out with an awesome flaxseed gel to offset that.
Don't oils act as conditioners though? It reduces friction, which is what conditioners do
Whats the reason behind not using oils and butters?
@@betybop123 folks are saying they block moisture from getting into your hair and you have to use clarifying shampoos often to remove the build up. They saw it makes hair falsely seem healthy. They also say it defines the curls more. If you have Twitter or Reddit try looking up "no butters no oils". Also they switch to just shampoo, conditioner, and either gel or wrap foam.

Thank you so much for the explanation because I tried the elongating styling product before and didn’t like it because it plumped my hair but didn’t hold the curls. However I loved the HEALTH of my hair when I used it… Now that I realize my hair actually needs something to help with the curl but the product moisturizes underneath that, I love it!!! Don’t worry about increasing your prices, Whitney. It was projected that most beauty and skincare products were going to undergo price increase by at least $3 due to higher material costs, and so far this has been true for a majority of brands. This is also happening with other goods and services, but the beauty industry as a whole really increased their prices.
At least her products are worth the increase even if it wasn’t due to supply/demand. I’m actually mad I spent so much money on many products in the past that were NOT worth all the money or hype.

I love the shampoo, leave in conditioner, and twist elongating cream. All amazing products! Also the ingredients are all great so I can still use them in my son and daughters hair without worrying that they will get an illness from chemicals.

The health of your hair is why I cannot honestly consider no oils/no butters. I have not used the cream yet because I was concerned about the weight on my fine hair after I received it. This video has encouraged me to give it a try. I am going to pull it out of my "product junkie" bin for my next wash day.

When you scoop out your product, try putting ur palm down so that it ends up on the back of your hand, it should keep the product from getting under your nails ❤️

I have the towel and shower mirror and love both. I don’t use as much oil and butter this time of the year but both are excellent
I am a Yes Gel Girl. What I do in the shower...
1. Coat hair with conditioner
2. Section and finger detangle using as much conditioner as I need
3. Rinse conditioner and shake out excess water
4. Apply ample aloe vera gel and shake out excess
5. Apply moderate amount of eco gel and shake out excess
DONE
Shampoo hair once a week.
I'm no longer "afraid" of water or "shrinkage". I can stretch if I want, but it's not a priority. The amount of breakage and shedding has DRASTICALLY decreased. Pretty convinced I'm gonna be retaining my length this year.
