Sue, I wanted to thank you. I introduced my dear friend Jim to your videos sometime back. Sadly, he became terminally ill in Sept, but before he passed he said your videos allowed him to make peace with his mortality. Saying the work you, and others like you do, allows the dead to be remembered long after all those that knew them are gone. He hoped in some far off future maybe someone would make a video of his tombstone and speak his name. Allowing him to live again in memory, if only for a moment.
Ahh David, this brought a tear to my eye, Jim rest easy Sir. I'm so so sorry for your loss. He sounds like a gentle soul. Wish I lived near his resting place I'd certainly visit and say his name. I'm glad he found peace when his time here became short. I'll remember Jim in my thoughts and my heart ❤️
I have a bad sickness too, and seeing videos like this also have helped me come to terms with things and I am not afraid. It's all the way things go. Thankyou for acknowledging this. I love looking at cemeteries and knowing things about the people that have passed away.
Fascinating to see different burial methods. Praying the grave robbers were followed home by a nasty ghost! For shame. Thank you for sharing your adventures!!!
Not a joke! We visited a famous OLD cemetery once. On the way back to the car I told my daughter someone was following us. I kept looking back expecting to see someone there. We got in the car and closed the door. Whomever it was became very angry at being left behind. As we drove away, I began to have a blinding sharp pain in my head. When I got home I told a friend about it. She looked up the name of who we thought it might be. She had been a former president's first wife, buried with her family instead of him. He had remarried after her death. Buried with wife #2, I guess. This one was a very angry spirit who had died of a cerebral aneurysm. (The headache I had?)
when i was a young boy around 11 or 12 me and my friends dared each other to climb into the local cemetery mausoleum on halloween night after we had finished trick or treating, that was the dumbest move i have ever done because i went in and the gate broke and locked me inside! and as my two friends were laughing their asses off and trying to move the gate for me to squeeze through we heard the loudest "BANG" ever and i spun around and saw a dusty coffin that had fallen down, and lord help me when i say this but the lid two second later sprung open reveling the skeletal remains of a young child dressed in a white and sky blue suit, all three of us started screaming so loud that the caretaker found us and got me out, worst night of my young life
@thomasplouffe1363 my family home was across from an old abandoned cemetery and my bedroom window was maybe 100 ft from the first row of head stones. One day we were sitting on the porch at about dusk and we heard a strange noise in the cemetery. Like a loud thud. We went to investigate, and the ground had given way below a headstone, which basically had sunken completely in the ground. We could actually see a corner of a coffin. I'm guessing they hadn't started using burial vaults during that time. I believe the last burial in the cemetery was like 1945. It was crazy. We used to play over in the cemetery but after that, our mom told us never to go in there again. She was worried about us falling into another sinkhole.
Yes, thank you, there is beauty in death, a new beginning, the peace the serene setting the silence. For some it's the end of pain, some believe a better world awaits them, there's so much to explore ❤️❤️
It’s so sad that any graves would be vandalized. So sad that would ever happen…..thank you so much for being so respectful. That’s a reason I follow you….it’s always respectful. Thank you Sue….❤️. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year….🎄🎁🎅⛄️

I visited Recoleta cemetary in Buenos Aires, Argentina a few years ago to see Eva Peron's burial site. Many of the mausoleums there have glass doors on them and the coffins are clearly visible. Although you can't see any of the remains because they are maintained by the relatives or the cemetary staff.

I love exploring cemeteries your videos make me want to visit so many more. As a passing midwestern American, I was absolutely FLOORED by just how well the two 400 year old female and the 800 year old crusader corpses are preserved. You'd think nature would've taken its absolute toll on their remains by now...but apparently not
Thanks so much, Sue! What a fascinating video compilation! You have such an amazing and interesting collection of content that most channels don’t have! Plus there is not a lot of people from Ireland that have a channel like yours, except your husband, who I am also subscribed to! It’s double the fun! I enjoy that both of you have a different style as to how you present your content. Both of you are excellent and I always look forward to seeing your videos, makes my day! This is fascinating! I live in Mississippi in the U.S. We have only a handful of above ground crypts. The few we do have are very old. But you can’t see inside them. They are all sealed once someone is buried inside them to protect the body. Everyone else is buried in the ground. Very few if any are cremated here. I love seeing the crests on the coffins. My dad’s dad’s side is from Scotland. My pappaw visited twice tracing our lineage further. He found and brought home our crest and plaid. It was so cool to see we even had one.
That is so cool, wow, most of ours are sealed up too but sometimes you find them open. Ye are similar to is here, most are buried but cremation is getting more popular

Hello Sue. What a great compilation of your dedicated work. I just love Ireland and hope to come there someday. Maybe to stay !! My favorite mausoleum is the French mausoleum. I love the sculpture of Mr. French and the entire building is so beautiful. I live in Central Pennsylvania, USA. Nothing here compares to that structure. A belated merry Christmas to you God bless.

Thank you Sue. I watch you from very far away.. Croydon, Victoria Australia. Love your vids. My ancestors are from England (Suffolk is a big interest). Thank you!
after watching this it is pretty much safe to say it's a bad idea to be buried in a mausoleum. They seem to be open invitations for vandalism and neglect
I know Kerry, unless you pay someone to maintain it or have family to mind it, it's just not the way to go. I suppose if the grandest of mausoleums will eventually fall apart, sad, so much money to build them and this eventually happens
Excellent tour Sue so interesting but isn’t it sad that despite the money spent and the passing years. That your bones wud be open to the elements plus wildlife.A lot to to be said for cremation. But then all your fans wouldn’t be able to enjoy your superb efforts.Thankyou both .x
It is very sad to know that when these people passed away they thought they were going to be inside something that was going to protect them forever but look at them now that is so sad I can't even imagine being in a mausoleum like that and your remains are just wasting away to nothing that is so sad thank you for showing me that that makes me think on not being in a mausoleum
St Michan's Church and crypt was awesome. The tour guide was one of the best parts. We gathered in the church beforehand, then the tour guide comes walking in and says in a dry low pitched voice "Who wants to see some mummies"?
@@SerenitySueGraveyards Are you serious? That terrible. That kinda makes me angry. I appreciate and absolutely love the history and beauty of the graveyards in Ireland. Got some pretty epic pics from St Michans. I think my favorite pic is the place reportedly to have a portion of William Wallace's torso interred. Had to work to get that one, lol

Excellent compilation sue, very sad about the open remains but as I said before maybe no living relatives exist.stay safe, well and happy , Merry Christmas from us in ballarat in Oz,👋👋🙏🙏👍👍🇦🇺
Have you ever considered that these are the tombs of the resurrected? I have a very wild theory that most aren't ready to entertain, but I will try my hand with you. These tombs you find with open caskets are of the resurrected saints from the Millennial Kingdom. Meaning, that the Millennial Kingdom has come and gone. The bones you find are of the bodies they left behind for the new ones. Which would mean that we are in the little season. However, that also means Armageddon has come and gone as well. We are the last of the souls on Earth that are left to reincarnate for the second resurrection. Meaning, all the good you do right now, is toward the building of the new Earth that was promised. I love you. Thank you for your diligent work.
I’ve just discovered your channel and being the wee macabre soul that I am I loved it. I can see me binge watching over the next few days. You need to also give a wee plug for your man’s channel ❤️

I just love to watch the videos and to see how people were laid to rest a long time ago and it is totally different in Ireland than here in the USA keep up the good work god bless and take care sue
Thank you, yes completely different
Thank you Sue. I watch you from very far away.. Croydon, Victoria Australia. Love your vids. My ancestors are from England (Suffolk is a big interest). Thank you!
Thank you, we have a few here from Australia so it's nice to know I've reached so far. Thanks so much 🙏
@@SerenitySueGraveyards you're welcome. I really enjoy your exploring x
after watching this it is pretty much safe to say it's a bad idea to be buried in a mausoleum. They seem to be open invitations for vandalism and neglect
I know Kerry, unless you pay someone to maintain it or have family to mind it, it's just not the way to go. I suppose if the grandest of mausoleums will eventually fall apart, sad, so much money to build them and this eventually happens
That's a touth I think sue it's so sad to see the coffin s like that hope they are all resting in peace 🙏💐 lovely video sue take care both of you 👍
I think it's a tooth too
Excellent tour Sue so interesting but isn’t it sad that despite the money spent and the passing years. That your bones wud be open to the elements plus wildlife.A lot to to be said for cremation. But then all your fans wouldn’t be able to enjoy your superb efforts.Thankyou both .x
Thanks Mary ❤️
Sue I fell in love with your content absolutely love it love the cemeteries you visit you should come back to England keep up the amazing work xx
That's a plan Cyanide for sure ❤️
Sue, Thank you for a very interesting video.
Thanks Dan, appreciate it
It is very sad to know that when these people passed away they thought they were going to be inside something that was going to protect them forever but look at them now that is so sad I can't even imagine being in a mausoleum like that and your remains are just wasting away to nothing that is so sad thank you for showing me that that makes me think on not being in a mausoleum
I feel like we will all be forgotten in a hundred years if you're buried, cremated, or put into a beautiful mausoleum
Really great video.
Thanks so much
Very interesting, thank you for sharing.
Very welcome Mary
Eeek...! More vampires... Lol... Creepy but fascinating... Lots of love all the way from Tulsa Oklahoma... 🍃💙💀💙🍃
Hey Jeremy ❤️
St Michan's Church and crypt was awesome. The tour guide was one of the best parts. We gathered in the church beforehand, then the tour guide comes walking in and says in a dry low pitched voice "Who wants to see some mummies"?
Yes, I bet we had the same tour guide, I totally enjoyed it, unfortunately some clown went in lately and set it on fire. Destroyed the mummies
@brandonzimmerman1667 yes, see my video a few weeks ago. Destroyed by a Romanian
@@SerenitySueGraveyards That's so sad. Really sucks someone would do that. Really hope that something can be done to preserve what's left. Your videos are fantastic and a joy to watch. My wife and I love visiting graves whenever we come to Ireland. I have some of the ones you have recorded on my list of ones to go to when we come back.
Thank you for the tour through The Best Compilation. It was all very interesting. The last part was quite interesting. Thank you!!
Thanks so much Alan ❤️
Very interesting.wow.😮😮 excellent video.
Thanks Suzie
Wow 👍🙏
Thank you
Thanks for sharing.
You're very welcome 🙏
Wishing you and Both and family a wonderful Christmas, and a Happy and Healthy new year!! Bless you both for the miles you drive, walk and.hack your way through undergrowth, branches and nettles etc, all in good (scuse the pun!,) spirits for our education and viewing! You need to wear a pedometer each just to see how many miles you actually do end up walking for us!!
Bless your hearts…..thanks for everything! Love and hugs Helen 🙋♀️😘😘👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎄🎅🎄🎅🎄🎅xxxxx
The catacombs is definitely my fave
Yes Joan, that and the mummy's in st Michans

@missrita1826 ahh thanks so much, appreciate it 🙏
Hi Sue, I saw numerous orbs in this video. They were in the mausoleum tour. Amazing!
I did see some but I figured maybe dust 🤔
Could have been flying insects, hard to tell.
I actually looked again now I wonder was it a feather
Brilliant. Could you in future hold the camera longer on the names and dates every now and then? Thank you so very much
Hey this is just a compilation video, my full videos I do read the names and look at the stones in detail. Thanks for watching have a great New Year

Excellent compilation sue, very sad about the open remains but as I said before maybe no living relatives exist.stay safe, well and happy ,
Merry Christmas from us in ballarat in Oz,👋👋🙏🙏👍👍🇦🇺
Thanks Peter ❤️ 😊
This was interesting Sue. Its so sad that anyone would vandalise a grave. Some people have no respect
Oh yes, it's something I'll never understand
Don't know how this showed up on my recommended list, but pretty cool. And you stuck your camera in a hole, and there was someone staring back!!!! 😮
Staring back, no way 😳
Seeing the broken open crypts by vandals is truly awful. But great video. Thank you
It is terrible, disgusting people unfortunately but I always say, they'll meet their maker
Oh this sounds very interesting to me, thank you, I'll have to do some research as I don't know anything about it
I’ve just discovered your channel and being the wee macabre soul that I am I loved it. I can see me binge watching over the next few days. You need to also give a wee plug for your man’s channel ❤️
He is Grave Visitations we usually work together so the best of the best, yes I would say I've a fascination for all things Macabre too, I'm probably a little morbid
This was interesting Sue. Such a shame that some get vandalised
Yes, it's the worst of the worst who do things like that
Watching...
Thanks ❤️ 😊
Love. U. Sue. Because. You. Tell. It. And. Show. It. Like. It. Is......God bless
Thanks Edward, appreciate it 🙏
