    Excellent review, Steve! I've heard lots of good things about the Telluride, and I can see why. Kia appears to have put a lot of value into this, which is probably why they seem to be so hard to find in dealerships (at least here in the States.) I'm impressed with Telluride. I won't trade my Navigator for one, but I can certainly understand their appeal. Thanks for this review!

      Thanks Patrick, appreciate that! I've heard from a lot of people up here that they're having trouble finding an in stock Telluride too. If Kia were to throw on a turbocharged engine option and make wireless Android Auto/CarPlay standard it would be hard to beat!

    Hello Steve, Great review!. Last year we ordered a 2023 Telluride EX. After a few months of no movement on our order, we cancelled the EX and upgraded to the SX with AWD (extra $2,000) but we live in snow country, Syracuse, New York and with a couple basic options, the car came in just under $50,000. We like it very much, as it is our 4th KIA auto. For those in Florida, and where it gets warm most of the time, I think that it would fit the bill. Less $2,000 for just FWD. Bye the way, after we changed our order on March 3rd, 2023, it was built on April 14, 2023, and had it 3 weeks later. Quite a surprise. Another neat feature found on UA-cam, having the wipers come to rest in a vertical position on the windshield to either change blades or to lift wipers off during snow weather conditions. Instructions: First start car with foot on brake, then turn off ignition. Next, press start button with FOOT OFF BREAK PEDDLE and it will go into accessory mode. When in accessory mode, push up wiper arm on right side and hold until wipers come on and release lever and wiper arms will stop in middle of windshield. When car is started again, wipers stay in that position until you move the wiper control arm up. Pretty cool. Hope this little bit of info helps new Telluride owners. Dave

      Thank you! It's wild how quick things moved for you when you made the upgrade to the SX, glad to hear that you're enjoying it so far. What was the Kia you had before the upgrade to the Telluride?
      Neat trick for the wiper rest position, always great when someone's able to point out different features I didn't even know existed! Thanks for the tip for other owners

      @@CarsWithSteve Hi Steve, we started with the Optima EX, with a 3 year lease

      @@CarsWithSteve Then, we decided to try the Kia Sorento. We leased 2 of them for 3 years each. However, each one we had had different options, which we like in each one of them. So the 2023 Telluride SX has most of the options of all 3 of the first 3 KIA’s. Just a short time ago, KIA released the tow hitch kit which I have purchased, but will have it installed next Spring. I sure I could install it myself, but I don’t want to void the warranty.

      Gone bigger each time, the SX is a great choice. Didn't know that the hitch kit is finally available, thanks for pointing that out!

    HUD and polarized sunglasses don't mix. Recommend a good set of non-polarized sunglasses and the HUD is MUCH clearer. Ever wonder why fighter pilots can't wear polarized lenses? Now ya know. BTW, great review...THANKS

    Hi Steve, thx 4 the review, very helpful. I live here in FL in the States....I guess FWD would be fine. Trying to save $....what do you think would be the best version for me to purchase that would include some cost savings, but still leave neat features w/o having to compromise on everything?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  10 місяців тому

      You're welcome! If you're wanting to save some money, FWD in Florida would be fine. If you do any off-road driving, trails etc I'd go all wheel instead. The S would be a good starter model with the EX giving you leather seats, single sunroof and ventilated 1st row seats. If you could stretch your budget a bit the SX gives you a lot of great features like dual sunroofs, blind view monitor, front parking sensors, 360 camera, 12.3" digital cluster and upgrade Harmon Kardon sound system.
      It's also $8k more than the S so it'll depend on what features you care about and what your budget is!

      Thank u sooo much for responding. Any thoughts about the high end Kia Sportage?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  10 місяців тому

      It won't be as powerful as the Telluride but the higher trims of the Sportage have a great amount of tech. Think you'd go regular gas engine or hybrid Sportage?

    Great review Steve. Considering the X Line model. Can you please explain the power folding mirrors? Would like to use them via switch entering and leaving the garage. Have seen a few videos where they fold out by walking up to the vehicle. This would be a no-no, Assume a switch would turn that off? Thanks.

      Thank you! That part is covered off in the infotainment video here - ua-cam.com/video/7p4Fj9VlWDc/v-deo.html
      But to disable it.. in the media screen go to Settings --> Vehicle --> Lights --> Welcome Mirror/Light and disable Enable on Door Unlock

      One other minor question I think I know the answer to but def know you will. I have an Android non wireless charging phone model. If I use a standard USB cable in that middle port with Android Auto will it also charge the phone at same time?

    • @CarsWithSteve
      @CarsWithSteve  11 місяців тому +1

      You're welcome! Yes when you're connected over USB it will still charge you up
