Have a G2 cart. Most videos show spark plug as B4res but Yamaha service manual states B5res. Which is correct and does the B5res have a longer reach? Thanks for any help.
Thanks for the great video. One question is where can I get a new air filter box and overflow attachment? It's been running good even without the overflow attached and a lot of leaks in the air box, but I would like to replace them.
I just recently acquired, I guess is a G2, because it looks everything like what you have have shown in this video..I will definatly be coming back to see all the parts so I can get mine running right....so far I have noticed the solenoid was broken, and now I think the starter has bad brushes or just plain dirty..it only attempts to turn if I spin the drum with my hand..and only for a second.
Is there a easy adjustment I could make to the linkage to get my g2 to run a little faster, I don't want to tear it up but it seems there's more I could get out of it before the governor shuts it down...also I don't know what linkage is shutting it down.can you give me some advice of make a video showing what the different linkage is doing.thanks and I really like your videos
Any suggestions to eliminate backfiring, after slowing down coming to a stop, even after the dinginess stops, and sometimes again taking off from a complete stop. The G2 has been tuned with new plugs, gas filters, air filters, fuel pump, etc.
Mine cranks okay, but won't start. According to you, it could be a vacuum leak, the carburetor, or the spark plug. I checked that fuel is pumped into the carburetor. So I replaced the spark plug. But no luck. Could you please teach me how to check if sparks are coming from the spark plug?
I just replaced the coil on my G-2 Yamaha..still no spark..now just replaced CDI ing box..runs like a bat out of hell in Reverce but will not run going forword......how can i make it go forword??HELP!
Great to see a new vid! Love your snowblower resto-mods!

If you hold the plug against the metal of the engine block and turn the engine over you will see the spark
