FYI, the door pop feature works on all three of those McLarens. And the 570S and 720S also have a hidden door lock feature, you got a feel for it, it's like a dime sized capacitance button inside the upper part of the vent. All four of my McLaren's had that ability.
Buy the right McLaren and you’ll probably own the best car you’ve ever had. I took the risk and after 8k miles in 9mths in my 2019 720s I’ve had ZERO issues. It’s just 10x the fun and seriously quicker than of any other cars I’ve had, AM vanquish, 911 gts & M760Li to name a few. The issues usually come with the earlier cars pre 2018/19 with little mileag because they just sit, so buy from a dealer, get the 12mth warranty and USE IT!
With more McLaren specialists coming into the market (In the UK at least), scary main dealer repair bills are not as much of a concern anymore. McLarens offer such incredible performance for the money! 😁
I think I would still want the MP4-12C despite the unimaginative name because it still looks like a car instead of a spaceship, but between those 3, 650S for sure is my favorite because it's the closest to my favorite McLaren.
The 650 seems to have a deeper guttural growl to it that both the 570 and 720 do not. I have always loved the sound of the 650/675. Oddly enough though, not to shit on my own point but the way the 720 revs sounds like a pissed off Honda S 2000, which is insanely cool and it’s on right.
I doubt many 720 owners would find any satisfaction in someone saying their car sounds like a ricer Honda. Certainly no one in the market for this level of car would. That's not the goal of a supercar. I'm not saying your wrong, you may be correct, I don't hang around people with Honda S2000's.
The 720S is a beast....a true supercar. The 570s is a real bargain at the prices you can currently get them used at. I have not driven and don't know much about the 650s. I feel more educated about it after this video!

The story of McLaren is the wonderous NISSAN LMP engine unrestricted and what it can do. That engine won the constructors championship against the full might of Audi in a era that is legendary for motorsports.

I'm glad i came across your video, I'm actually in the market for a Mclaren, between the 570gt, 650, 600Lt, or GT. I'm really leaning/love the 600Lt. So my question is, what do you think of the 600lt and GT. I would be interested in the 720, but I've been seeing/reading some costly issues with the 720. E.g. Vibration that causes the windshield to crack (along the sides). Mclaren hasn't been able to fix this issue let alone has announced they can fix this issue. I'm not a fan of the color orange, but what's the miles on the 650 an your asking price for the 650? TIA.
The cheapest -650s I found was $130k ,570s $125k ,720s $210k not badly priced compared to other super car but the quality control and the reliability is what scare people that aren’t rich rich 😅
The 720 is difficult just because you don't want to scratch the exposed carbon. Once you get in and out a few times you get used to it, but certainly it's not smooth like a normal door.
Like anything, practice. Also, in some cars you gain a heck of a lot by moving the seat back before getting out, and then it's also all the way back prior to getting in. I'm not big, but I still do this on my cars. But if you have only been in the 12C once, I get it. You need a bit of living with the car to really get settled in. And with the wide sills of the McLaren, it's a bit of a thing. But hey, I had a Lotus Elise to practice on. If you can get gracefully in and out of that, you're set for life lol.
The 570s is every bit as quick as the 650 and more reliable. It is a car that will be valued more and more over time. It’s the McLaren sweet spot. Look for the HDK 570s Spider and hold on to it.
Review kinda sounds you are biased on 570s. It’s just been let down in many avenues and it’s not true. 570s is a modern tech and better in every way minus less hp. It’s a more refined designed and new tech.
The 650 doesn’t look McLaren like. The taillights are boring and don’t have the taillights resembling the McLaren logo in the rear nor the front headlights. The rear in the 650s is a mess. The 570s is king and will be limg otherwise we wouldn’t have this discussion. Why is the older and less advanced model still being argued for ? It’s because it’s timeless and is the pinnacle of McLaren and its cars imho

The first design of a car is always the best. Look at the XKE, Testarossa and McClaren. The 12C or 650S are beautiful.

It's in-between the 570 and 720. More luxury than the 570, but not as much as the 720. The tech is also a little older.
