Has anyone else noticed this is transposed up a whole step from the album this is off of? The album version is in F, but this same version uploaded on UA-cam is transposed into G. Listen to the album or look it up on Spotify or iTunes and you'll see what I mean.
The transposition takes some of the wonder from this wonderful rendition of a classic. It diminishes the resonance, but it still is great listening. A master at work.
I ran into this issue in my lesson last week. I've been working on transcribing this solo, and I originally did it off the youtube version, but then my professor pulled up the Spotify version, and I just couldn't play it for some reason.
@blawrence1313 Yes. I noticed this. I thought maybe it was just me. @Aaron Brown I'm pretty sure the key change on UA-cam had a whole lot to do with why you had trouble playing this.
Absolute banger 🔥🙌

Yes, I agree. I don't know much about transposing but this copy sounds funny compared to the original which I've listened to for over 20 years.
i bet it's for copyright reasons

They play Blue Bossa on the Sister album to this. "Quintergy"
It was also played live in a concert and blue bossa was in the set, so it makes sense
