crazy how alot of people in the comments still think you gotta kill them, nice video
yep haha pretty comical. Thanks for the support! Tight lines!
Because they believe everything they read on the internet, see on tv or hear from another uneducated angler like themselves.
You earned a new subscriber and my respect. Thank you for releasing them 🙌🏻🙌🏻
So many people get the rules mixed up and many of them assume they're the northern ones. Glad we have a few anglers on here that get it! Tight lines!
I was under the impression that's it's illegal to release snake heads once landed
I thought the same
Nope! Only illegal to transport live ones in Florida
It is!! They are supposed to be left o bank or kept to kill
@@johncolanbukowski5935 you're wrong look it up it's against the law!!!
@@johncolanbukowski5935 look up the laws. It says release also. By catching and releasing you are breaking the law. That’s a bad fish to have that is not supposed to be there
I used to have these in an aquarium..
I’m game for fishing them..👍
Strong Fish…!!!
The most fun freshwater fish to catch here in our SoFla fishing paradise!
lots of fun to catch!
I hope that they ticket and arrest and confiscate all equipment from anyone that releases them!!!@
@@thomaskitlica5572 They can't as it is perfectly legal to release them where caught. Research has found they aren't having the impact once believed, thus the reason why it's legal. You may want to do more than a Google search to get the correct information.
Great Video , these snakes are on fire 🔥
they definitely are. Thanks for watching!
Always :)
That’s the problem if invasive species are caught they should not be let go, title literlaly said invasive species I was expecting you to get rid of it
Amen
Word of the day. It’s a good one
Anything I need to know about handling these?...do they have spikes or anything I should know?
no spikes, just nasty teeth. Best way to handle them is to grab them by the head and hold their mouth closed with you thumb on their head and rest of the fingers under the gills
Looks like the hylian loach 😄
Dork lettin it go
Uneducated angler for saying such
I never bank fished. I only make deposits and withdrawals there. 🤣
I thought that once you were in possession of a invasive species it's illegal to Let It Go I believe that is the law in Florida
Per FWC it is not the law. The only thing illegal to do with Snakehead in Florida is to transport a live one from one location to another. It is not illegal to catch and release them.
@@CaptainRickMurphy look it up you're wrong it clearly states that they must be disposed of!!! Florida fish and wildlife would be interested in talking to you!
@@CaptainRickMurphy per their website it’s illegal. This is right from their page. You are not introducing but you are releasing. “It is unlawful for any person to possess, transport or otherwise bring into the state or to release or introduce in the state any freshwater fish, aquatic invertebrate, marine plant, marine animal, or wild animal life that is not native to the state without a permit from the Commission, except fathead minnow, variable platy, coturnix quail, and ring-necked pheasant. (68-5.001, F.A.C.)”
@@CaptainRickMurphy you are wrong sir look it up it's illegal to release any non native fish in Florida!!! They need to arrest and confiscate anyone's equipment that is caught releasing a invasive species!!! But if you want ask Florida fish and wildlife officials and they will tell you that they can issue a 5000 dollar fine for every fish and they can confiscate truck's boat's and other equipment!!! Try knowing the laws before telling people something that can get them arrested!!!
@@trentjones5881 WRONG! I have talked to fishery biologists at FWC and was told research has found they aren't having the impact once believed, thus the reason why catch and release is perfectly legal. Perhaps you should do more than a google search! I even have it in writing that catch and release is perfectly legal and you may want to watch this youtube video........ua-cam.com/video/ccYzASLBtO0/v-deo.html
Why tf are you putting em back?
Because it is perfectly legal to do so as research has found they aren't having the impact once believed.
Ikr, don’t put them back is exactly the memo. Even if there “impact isn’t like we thought so we should do nothing”, they are an invasive species should be eliminated to whatever extent we can… especially when they literally are catching them… whatever
@@Drawson663 Nah, let em go, let em grow. No need to kill them
Woulda loved it if this could have been an oppertunity to encourage people to catch and keep these fish, turn em into fertilizer or dinner. But. There’s still that opportunity
Nah, no need to.
Why would you let an invasive species loose after catching it?
Because it is perfectly legal to do so as research has found they aren't having the impact once believed.
@@swkelley bullshit
@@swkelley snakeheads should be destroyed or eaten. They are aggressive killers and they get that large from eating native fish.
@@jeffostrander2082 sorry, but you are wrong. What I said came straight from a fisheries biologist at FWC. Perhaps you need to do a little more than a google search.
@@jeffostrander2082 Nah, I prefer catch and release as they are by far the most fun freshwater fish to catch here. You do realize they provide another food source for native fish, don't you? Obviously not. Research has found they aren't the threat once believed. Do some actual research, not a google search.
If it's an invasive fish why are you letting it go
Because they aren't the threat once believed and it is perfectly legal to do so. Let em go, let em grow.
Reading through comments - has this guy answered why the hell he’s releasing them back? Title literally says invasive and He said himself they are delicious.
Research has found they aren't the threat once believed, thus the reason why catch and release is perfectly legal. Let em go, let me grow.
Boo this man kill them things. Cuz people let them go after catching them is why they are such a problem
Actually, they aren't a problem at all, that's why catch and release where caught is perfectly LEGAL!
Taste so great snakehead
Are u kidding! He released it!
Of course he did. Let em go, let em grow
Why release it
Why not?!
It is illegal to release them. Understand you aren’t introducing it to the water, but you should use it for bait or kill it. Those are not good to have around as much as it’s a good fighting fish to catch
WRONG! Research has found they aren't having the impact once believed, thus the reason why catch and release where caught is PERFECTLY LEGAL!! You may want to do more than just a Google search.
These are COMPLETELY LEGAL to release. They only inhabit an area of about 70 miles in south Florida, the only place in the country where you can find them.
I hope that they ticket you for releasing invasive species!!! I hate seeing people like you let them go!!! I grew up in palm beach county in the 80s and you could catch 10 pound bass every day now you are lucky to even catch a 1 pound bass!!! Please people start making people responsible for their actions!!! It is against the law in Florida to release invasive species!!! Make sure that they get fined and maybe one day we can get our bass back!!!
Can’t be ticketed since it’s not illegal. Look up the rules pal. Only illegal to transport a live one.
@@johncolanbukowski5935 that's not true that's the reason they have signs up!!! I truly hope that they put as many fines as they can on people like You!!! It's disgusting that you don't care about your ecosystem!!! You sir are a sorry excuse for a human!!!!! You are probably a liberal sheep!!!
Lmao buddy sounds retarded😭the fishing is better than ever
@@nicg1697 really when was the last time you caught a bass over 10 pounds
@@thomaskitlica5572 I don’t even fish for bass anymore because it’s boring the last decent size bass I caught was literally on a frog while I was fishing for snakes😭like a 6lber and my pb is 9 buddy idk about palm beach but broward and Miami are loaded w bass and exotics
You are being deleted from my feed enjoy ruining our fisheries!!
😂
I agree with him. This guy is a moron for letting those snakeheads go in a place they absolutely don’t belong. What’s his next video, going to the Florida swamps to catch and release giant pythons that also don’t belong there??
Your comments are a joke and you have no idea what you're talking about.
@@flipnotrab They aren't having the impact once believed, thus the reason why catch and release where caught is perfectly legal. May as well get used to them being here because there is absolutely nothing that can be done about them now. Not to mention, they are much more fun to catch than lame ass bass.
@@swkelley your logic is shit
