I Have alot to thank Still Game for,when my wife was in hospital,undergoing a serious operation,i could not sleep,i was in turmoil,worried sick,i spent the first night away from my wife,up all night crying,on the second night,after my wife`s operation,still worrying and upset,my son put on a dvd for us to watch,it was a series called Still Game,i have never laughed so much in my life,the tears were hurting my eyes,my stomach had cramps,Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill fantastic writers,and the carricters they created,isa,tam,winston,bobby,the list is endless,one of my all time fave endings to one episode is,and it still has me cracked up is,when jack,victor and winston sing The Ballad Of Mrs Begg.
The part where Winston fast forwards Isa to get to the punchline is comic genius ... Every character in all of the episodes plays their part so beautifully which makes the show flow ... A real comedy classic
Still Game is without a doubt the best BBC Comedy ive ever seen. I only got told about it by my Scottish friends and im amazed this was not broadcast enough in England. Such great writing and acting leaves a warm feeling in your heart every time you watch them. The "courtin" episode nearly killed me from laughing. I would love there to be another series.

I've been living in Scotland for almost a year now, one of my Scottish colleagues told me about the show. I must admit I couldn't understand a word for the first few episodes but that was whole point of me watching it (to get a grip over the local accent). The show is smashing.
23:30 "Lines are crossed...but underneath that broad over the line humor...they're decent people." On point. Sums up its charm. That time they took back the buggy from Tam by rigging a card game...HILARIOUS EPISODE.
Funny as f! The Asian shop keepers are brilliant! Methadone Mick sublime. Love this show. What's good is that ALL the characters have funny lines not just the main ones. Watched from the beginning after Chewin the Fat.
I’m watching this show from Hungary, over and over. So bloody funny it’s amazing. Tam had a child and the look on his face was so funny but it changed so quickly when realized he can make a few quids out of it. Still Game, I still hope once they continue!!

I'm Scottish, but lived in England virtually all my life. I find Still Game utterly hilarious. It was late on when I first saw it... episode 'Fresh Lick'. I had to pause it and rewind several times because I was laughing so hard for so long. Friends in England think it's the funniest thing they'd ever seen. I have since watched every episode... Still Game & its characters now occupy a very special place in my heart. Absolute genius from these Kings of comedy.
All them are amazing i could never see any once else playing any of them i love jack and victor dearly but Tam is a total legend great actor and great part he for me has me in total bits .
Series 7 was fantastic. Methadone Mick was a brilliant addition to the cast. Very funny guy. One of the highlights of series 7 was the cameo of Kevin Whatley as the dentist addicted to the dental gas. Would be cool if they brought him back for another episode. My late mum and Dad watched the first few series before they passed away and were big fans of the show. Still Game is the best Scottish sitcoms ever . Hope there will be a lot more episodes to come.
Found Still Game on Netflix. Loved it. Watched the whole series in 3 days. I speak American English, luckily Netflix has subtitles so I could understand the accent, otherwise I wouldn't have understood much of it.

I'm English and love this show, I caught it only recently as I live out of the UK. I have to disagree with Alex Norton when he said they are like Laurel and Hardy, Morcambe and Wise, they are nothing like these traditional double acts where one is the straight man and the other is the comic. Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill are both comics and both caustic in their characters , they invented a new model of comedy partnerships.
From America: What American Comedy lacks this show has or rather had. What a shame it appears to be over. ALL of the characters are REAL and charming.... Everyone knows these personalities.... I appeal to those that created this series to either continue this wonderful TV comedy or perhaps even, dare I say, make a movie out of it. Again, I am American & I know that this series has won me over. PS: If I could get an autograph picture of the cast or Winston, that would truly be wonderful.
Truly an iconic part of Scottish History and TV. The stories told, the laughs and memories made, and the jokes cemented in Scottish Culture is why I love this show so much. It means so much to me. The talent of the acting, writing and directing is what makes this show truly timeless.

I'm sure this Brit expat in the States has watched many Scottish programmes; I recently did a Netflix binge of Still Game.. we've only the seven series here so far. To me it's the best Scottish comedy of all time. It's practically perfect and I can't wait for the two seasons you lot have seen that I'm on edge waiting to savour them. I love this programme; it's characters, the comradery, laughter, warmth, caring, etc. We just have to knowttheres folks like them in the world in just about every country, city and town. Though, sadly I believe more and more we know less of the community we live in and lose so much because we don't engage with one another as we once did. If this is representative of Scotland, it ROCKS!

I have watched the series at least 20 times, sometimes finishing and starting with episode 1 immediately after. My Mom, well into her 90s and who left Scotland in 1953, loved the show. She had Alzheimer’s so every episode was fresh to her and it was a joy to see her laughing at the antics.

Winston was always my favourite character. The scene where he is yelling at a bunch of thugs before he looks back and his bus leaves is fantastic!
Winston and Bobby are definitely my favourites. But they are all fantastic, the casting is top notch.

Truly an iconic part of Scottish History and TV. The stories told, the laughs and memories made, and the jokes cemented in Scottish Culture is why I love this show so much. It means so much to me. The talent of the acting, writing and directing is what makes this show truly timeless.

It's a hidden gem. Hardly anyone in England know about it. It's on a par with "Porridge", "Open All Hours" and "Only fools...".

I'm sure this Brit expat in the States has watched many Scottish programmes; I recently did a Netflix binge of Still Game.. we've only the seven series here so far. To me it's the best Scottish comedy of all time. It's practically perfect and I can't wait for the two seasons you lot have seen that I'm on edge waiting to savour them. I love this programme; it's characters, the comradery, laughter, warmth, caring, etc. We just have to knowttheres folks like them in the world in just about every country, city and town. Though, sadly I believe more and more we know less of the community we live in and lose so much because we don't engage with one another as we once did. If this is representative of Scotland, it ROCKS!

I love this, I'm English but the genius comedy transfers, also seeing the actors out of make up is amazing, Tam, Winstone, Isa & Victors blind date lol.
I'll bet they would work just as well if they were set in the Midlands or London, Ireland even. It's just absolutely class comedy.
I have watched the series at least 20 times, sometimes finishing and starting with episode 1 immediately after.
My Mom, well into her 90s and who left Scotland in 1953, loved the show. She had Alzheimer’s so every episode was fresh to her and it was a joy to see her laughing at the antics.
I rewatch all the time too. Anytime I catch myself searching for something to watch I’ll end up on still game yet again lol
