To all of the torque wrench fanatics below, after years of turning wrenches ( some of them torque) an aviation mechanic knows what pressure to use on the appropriate fastener. For very large items (mast nuts being one) it is appropriate. Very sensitive items (engine case halves etc) it is appropriate. For 95% of what is tightened in assembly a qualified licensed aircraft mechanic would not use special measurement tools. And remember, this is a condensed video of many hours of work, these people paid for, and will fly this helicopter. Be assured it was correctly done. If you think otherwise, it be your choice of not flying in it, but get a grip on unwarranted flaming something you know little about.
Yes it was in several pieces probably to help with vibrations. Probably wouldn't be good for the tail boom to be vibrating all the way across the ocean if it was attached. It would also make it much harder to load and unload.
It was the pitch control cable for the tail rotor. I was a little concerned with it's strength when I first saw it. However after taking the maintenance course and learning how it's designed inside I have no more worries. It's just as strong and more reliable than a direct shaft. It's a great design.
FINALLY ! Over the years, I have come across way too many "unboxing" videos. I mean, you look forward to a video review of a Garmin 3000. But, you ACTUALLY get a half-hour video, starting with the arrival of the postal jeep, a brief introduction of the postman, ten minutes going over the packing slip and invoice, including a detailed assessment of the quality of supplied window decals that say "G3000". Then, all packing material is shown, in it's original, packed state, with special attention to cardboard inserts with precision cut outs. Once contents are removed, even bubble-wrap is shown an critiqued. Once empty, even the outer box is examined and discussed, along with close-ups of cardboard thickness and durability estimates. The final 30 seconds are reserved for mentioning the actual device the box contained, with a quick glimpse of it, through the plastic wrap. THIS "unboxing" video was AWSOME ! I Always wondered how these shipped and the assembly needed. Really fun to watch !
Woohoo!!!!! She's a beauty!!! Guimbal, you know style! Love the team working together, nothing like shared excitement! Looking forward to seeing the new students learning to fly in her! Congratulations BC Helicopters!!!
Very interesting. I’ve never seen one come with the gearbox already attached. But that’s how Robinson does it. Really like your video. Thanks for sharing your unboxing. 👍🏽👍🏽
Don't ever apologize for opening a box safely. Those parts are your babies. You never wan't to mess anything up. That helicopter is a tool. My Dad used to say: Take care of your tools, and your tools, will take care of you!!! I so wish I could afford to learn to fly helicopter!!! One can dream!!! 😊
Glad to see it made it in one piece! It was a little sketchy looking using that forklift. Good to see everything went okay and look forward to seeing some flying vids with it.
congrats, guys!!! wish you many hours enjoying this new entry to the Canadian market... you have every right to be proud and I look forward to seeing the 1st vids you post flying!!!!
Thanks a lot. We can't wait to make those first vids either. Hopefully the weather starts to smarten up so we can get some beautiful footage. It's been pretty gray here for a while now.
Just started training and it's in a G2. I love this bird! This unboxing was great!! Have already seen a couple of your vids, my instructor required I watch. Extra special to see BC spent years there as a teen, lived and went to Mike Fox school with his sister ( Hot ) in Burnaby. Worked the docks in New Westminster ( a riot ). Visited couple years ago, really has changed!!! Have to watch more of your vids now. Aloha 🤙🏻
I loved the entire vlog. i was just as excited as you guy i think. but the most impressive part of the vlog was how you sacrificed your arm to prevent any damage to the helicopter was awesome. i so would have done the same thing. i sooo wish i could attend your flight school. thanks for the the amazing vlogs though. . long live helicopters and helicopters pilots..
08:35 I think garage doors are not set up properly. Those fenders should be tight when doors are closed I believe but these seems to even push them down. Or that's how it should be?
We have had three sets of eyes go over it. It does get inspected for the import but not that kind of inspection. They go over the machine to make sure that all the equipment listed in the paperwork is actually installed and that everything meets the Canadian requirements.
Are you gents planning on performing a initial rotor blade track and balance before the first flight ? if so I'd really like to see it on video. -Thanks
All the track and balance was done over in France. None of the control rods or anything have changed so it should have the same balance. We will see how it feels on the first flight. If it feels the same we'll leave it. If we feel any vibration we'll give it a track and balance. But I will keep that in mind that you would like to see the process. When we do our first one I'll make sure I video it for you.
Agreed. I would have a mechanic check it over. But then again I’d probably be too excited and just play around before inspection. I also didn’t see you guys put any tamper paint on the bolts.
Does the G2 have "shoes" on the skids like some other helis. To prevent wear and tear on the skids. And also .. after mounting the main blades .. do you track the blades and how do you do that? Regards from denmark. Lovely heli.
I noticed a Switzer taking off in the background, originally a Hughes, that was the model we trained in at Ft. Wolters, Texas for Army Rotary Wing Primary Flight Training School. This new bird, I suppose it can out-perform the older design with ease, yes?
Pilot Yellow *duh* NOW I understand why you call your channel Pilot Yellow...! Gelb in German of course translates into yellow in English. :-D (New viewer here.)
I was wondering how much a r22 or that cabri costs and it's a bit out of my price range might as well get 2 mosquitos and strap them together for 30k instead of 300k to 400k
Awesome, guys! Congrats. I'm glad you didn't have to sacrifice your arm in between the heli and the forklift, Mischa! I'll have to come out and give it a shot sometime.
I predict that the Cabri will become serious competition for the Robinson training market, for all the reasons you outlined. The Robinson was never designed to be a trainer.
Congratulations was show!!

By far, the best unboxing video I have seen.
I always thought that there's nothing that would get me excited anymore, like a gameboy back in the days or my first PC...
But this would be it.
Wasn't expecting it to come like that, thought only the rotors would be off. Best unboxing ever haha!
Yes it was in several pieces probably to help with vibrations. Probably wouldn't be good for the tail boom to be vibrating all the way across the ocean if it was attached. It would also make it much harder to load and unload.
Pilot Yellow That's makes sense yeah. What was the cable that was guided in when you were putting on the tail rotor?
It was the pitch control cable for the tail rotor. I was a little concerned with it's strength when I first saw it. However after taking the maintenance course and learning how it's designed inside I have no more worries. It's just as strong and more reliable than a direct shaft. It's a great design.
you all couldn't have been any more animated and happy, Congrats
Congrats BC helicopters on the new bird!!! Looks great!! All the best from North Texas Helicopters!!
Thanks a lot. It's great to hear from you.
How happy he is getting his stuff he desired after a long wait.

Woohoo!!!!! She's a beauty!!! Guimbal, you know style! Love the team working together, nothing like shared excitement! Looking forward to seeing the new students learning to fly in her! Congratulations BC Helicopters!!!
Thanks Sasch.
The helicopter in the background just hovering and chilling
Hey it's truly amazing feeling to watch unboxing of helicopter first time in my life
Very interesting. I’ve never seen one come with the gearbox already attached. But that’s how Robinson does it. Really like your video. Thanks for sharing your unboxing. 👍🏽👍🏽

Truck driver is just like "gah damn friggin lock! let me hurry up so I can get away from these weirdos!" lol
Really excited for all you guys! Hope she will treat you well.
We hope so too. With what we know about the machine and the company behind it we are very confident it will treat us right.
So glad your heli finally came in! cant wait for the vieos from the new machine definitely gonna stay tuned!
Awesome, I'm so glad you are along for the ride.
That’s how you take unboxing videos to the highest level
Great video super inspirational I even feel like I can only helicopter one day soon thanks for the share guys
"Little bit of gelp"
New catchphrase
Glad to see it made it in one piece! It was a little sketchy looking using that forklift. Good to see everything went okay and look forward to seeing some flying vids with it.
Yes we could have used an extra 5 feet on those forks for sure. I'll have to ask them what kind of for lift they use over in France to load it up.
The forklift operator took the box on a top, should have done it on the side.
congrats, guys!!! wish you many hours enjoying this new entry to the Canadian market... you have every right to be proud and I look forward to seeing the 1st vids you post flying!!!!

I am happy to see helicopter unboxing first time.
Hardy Congrats and many hours of fun flying and exploring!!
Thanks
Awesome ...👍 Proud moment . Keep it up ..
I especially liked the excitement of the truck driver :-)
Just started training and it's in a G2. I love this bird! This unboxing was great!! Have already seen a couple of your vids, my instructor required I watch. Nice Helicopter assemble it ,Fly all over the world ......Sooo nice to see like type mini helicopter...
Your enthusiasm is infectious 👍👍👍
Gorgeous little helicopter, love the fenestron tail rotor. Its almost like an episode of Wheeler Dealers
Ya the fenestron is amazing, I'm loving it.
When doing something that familiarizes friendship .. I envy with them.. Well, great team guys.. ;)
Beautiful aircraft.

Cool, congratulations! Beautiful helicopter.
Thanks Chris
Awesome unboxing. I want one ☺
08:35
I think garage doors are not set up properly. Those fenders should be tight when doors are closed I believe but these seems to even push them down. Or that's how it should be?
Safe flying to all of you 👍
Rejoice with you. May you enjoy it for a long time. Built and flew gyros, this is the next big step.👍
Hahaha that is a cool unboxing. Must be super exciting
We are very excited.
Pilot Yellow how much it cost you please ?
Nice Job Guys ! I could feel your excitement, I would love to do that, fly or build.
A lot of people post unboxing videos of their game systems or phones. Yeah, you win unboxing videos.
Congrats on the new toy, great addition to the fleet 👍
Yes it will be an excellent new teaching tool for sure. It will really broaden the students outlook to what they will be flying in the industry.
Very 1000x helpfull people,.... I like that
Does this need to be inspected after being built? Another set of eyes that make sure you didn't forget to tighten something?
We have had three sets of eyes go over it. It does get inspected for the import but not that kind of inspection. They go over the machine to make sure that all the equipment listed in the paperwork is actually installed and that everything meets the Canadian requirements.
Do they not have to torque any fasteners during assembly ??
Just curious....
wow... keep going with full spirit... god bless
Thanks man
Whoever was in that 300 in the background had such a stable hover
Congrats. Happy flights. I’m jealous...lol
So exciting- congratulations 🎉 thrilled for you and your team!
Thanks a million
Awesome, THANKS for sharin.
You bet
I take it this is one of those DIYs where if you find a couple extra screws, all hell breaks loose
Most satisfy video
You guys are amazing thanks for sharing
Excellent team work.👍
Awesome love flight......
Awesome!
Where you ordered from Amazon....
Super great unboxing ever 😅😅

Didn't they put this very helicopter for sale in the meantime?
How much did it cost
What was that helicopter taking off at the beginning? Was that an FX Mosquito?
Does the G2 have "shoes" on the skids like some other helis. To prevent wear and tear on the skids. And also .. after mounting the main blades .. do you track the blades and how do you do that? Regards from denmark. Lovely heli.
Yes it does have shoes on the skids. No we don't have to track them if we don't do any changes to them. They are tracked at the factory.
Best unboxing ever
I noticed a Switzer taking off in the background, originally a Hughes, that was the model we trained in at Ft. Wolters, Texas for Army Rotary Wing Primary Flight Training School. This new bird, I suppose it can out-perform the older design with ease, yes?
What flashlight is that in the pocket at 9:16-9:17?
Awesome vid. Did they charge extra for delivery or was it included in the initial sale
And a rookie crashed it. OK is he alive, if so let him face the firing squad. One of the best unboxing.
Did not see a torque wrench, hmmm
it's almost like editing removes context and you shouldn't draw too many conclusions from it
oh nice touch with the tail number '' GELP'' almost GELB, nice one
Ya we got it as close as we could.
Pilot Yellow *duh* NOW I understand why you call your channel Pilot Yellow...! Gelb in German of course translates into yellow in English. :-D
(New viewer here.)
ahh,did it fit out the door?
Where are the torque wrenches?
You feel so good when the baby home.
"straight owt...straight owt" 😍
congrats!!
Really Love this thing..
I was wondering how much a r22 or that cabri costs and it's a bit out of my price range might as well get 2 mosquitos and strap them together for 30k instead of 300k to 400k
R22 is less cost upfront but more in the long run. PY has a video on this actually.
Great machine Congrats,,did you guys Loctite every bolt right ?
Yup everything has been gone over and safety fastened and marked where necessary.
I hope so .Congratulations once again ..pls post blade balance & Tracking procedures and of course First flight
Awesome, guys! Congrats. I'm glad you didn't have to sacrifice your arm in between the heli and the forklift, Mischa! I'll have to come out and give it a shot sometime.
Haha ya the arm was well worth sacrificing for that. Looking forward to seeing you if you come out.
How often do you maintain/checkup the helicopter in the workshop? Could make for an interesting video!
We will do an inspection every 50 flight hours. I can take some footage of that for you as well.
Pilot Yellow Awesome thank you, love the content!
This is literally the best unboxing I've ever seen. 😂 Matti sent me, and I'm totally subbing!
Caleb S. thanks man, glad to have you.
You're making me want to assemble a helicopter! I go for my first flight in 2 months but work on fixed wing aircraft. This should be interesting
Are there rules when assembling an aircraft? Does a certified aircraft mechanic have to oversee it and sign off on things?? I would sure hope so.
Sooperb .1st tim liking from pakistan
great video ...always wanted to be a helicopter pilot .... gonna enrol soon lol
That's fantastic to hear, we look forward to having you.
Pilot Yellow oh mate I love to learn in your school but I'm in Australia ...keep up the great work and upload video on UA-cam ...
Price of this Helicopter?
I predict that the Cabri will become serious competition for the Robinson training market, for all the reasons you outlined. The Robinson was never designed to be a trainer.
Lindo parabéns aos rapazes ai, amo também helicóptero.
How is the battery liife?
Never saw them use one torque wrench, I wouldn't fly in it.
torque wrenches are fake news.
What's the yellow fixture used for?
That's an engine mount. If we need to do an engine swap you bolt that onto the bottom of the engine and lower it out.
Rich Eaton for bananas
That was really interesting to see
Glad you liked it.
very cool
me encanta este video.
Great
Ok Cabri G2 or Robinson R22?
How much did that cost?
Damn good looking helicopter. Looks great, but I wish you had a link posted where we could look into buying one..,lol.. Safe flying men!
PJ Neslo go to our website www.bchelicopters.com you can find info on where to buy one. We sell them.
That's so cool
Hey, I saw that baby flying very very low around camp hope and wondered if that was your new wings .. she's a beauty.
No that wasn't us unfortunately. We haven't has it flying yet. We are still waiting on a little paperwork.
How much does it cost .. is this for beginners???
