I have lost over 50 pounds and reversed heart issues. A plant based lifestyle has totally changed my life and brought back my health, energy and vitality! The journey all started when I watched the movie Forks Over Knives - to get your own copy of this life changing dvd, visit my affiliate page on Amazon if interested at amzn.to/1MgHoDy And I also read The China Study: amzn.to/1MgHsDt
I'm not vegan but I tried this recipe & its so much better than the real thing!!!
Thanks!
Wow! Now I'm REALLY excited to try it!! :D
@ChloeKanmi may I please ask, when you say "...so much better than the real thing' you are referring to the Taste of Animal Abuse!
Agreed
👩🏻💻
@@MayIPleaseAskYou ok, so that's not a question, you started out polite but then ended a bit preachy and confrontational. I get that you're trying to spread awareness but talking to people like that makes them turn away and not want to pay attention...its why we as vegans end up with a reputation for shoving the truth down other people's throats n.n
Maybe instead you could have said something positive along the lines of :
'Wow that's great, and no animals were harmed to make it! I hope that will encourage you to make more choices that don't hurt other living beings and benefit the earth, there really are some amazing alternatives out there! :) good luck 😀'
I'm not trying to be mean, again, I get that you are trying to do something positive! but I honestly feel that there's a better way to communicate what you are trying to say and if you try to make people feel good about the one vegan thing they've done they will be encouraged to try more.. on the other hand if you put them down about all of the other choices they make on a daily basis they are more likely to shut down on you. You will have a bigger impact and more luck spreading your message if people are receptive to what you're saying and associate veganism with feeling good and straight facts instead of other people making them feel bad about themselves 👍
-sorry for the essay, it wasn't just your comment. I've seen so many like this today and felt I needed to say my piece somewhere...
@juja s thank you for your reply
I hear you But...
If the #humans were Child Abusers or Dog Fighters should I simply speak nicely to them and try to cajole them into Ending their selfish cruelty?
Truth Hurts! and I’m going to keep telling the
Hypocritical
Unseeing
Mindless
Arrogant
Noxious
Speciesists
My eternal regret is that I was ever non-vegan
👩🏻💻
@@MayIPleaseAskYou same, to be fair I wish I'd been raised vegan. And I see your point about child abusers and dog fighters because honestly I see it as something just as awful too. Not gonna lie I've lost my calm approach on several occasions because it's so painfully frustrating that so many people can't see it.
The problem I feel there is with approaching it the same way as those things is that the people who are funding the cruelty are the ones who don't see it as being just as bad (*yet*). The people who don't see it that way also tend to close their mind off as soon as they hear or see something that threatens their perspective and just laugh vegans off as 'extreme'. When I went vegan I approached things the same way as you seem to now and to my knowledge helped no-one become vegan by making them feel bad about it. But when I realised this after the first few years I understood that I needed to change something about my approach, so I tried to be kinder and more compassionate on the subject and develope open conversations with people instead. now 2 years later I have helped 13 people I know of go completely vegan without all that much effort, and have a couple of vegetarians down too (it's a start). I try to remember the fact that I haven't always been vegan myself and imagine the way I would have liked someone to help me see the bigger picture. Many people aren't awful at heart like child abusers or dog fighters, but they have been born into a society where funding a practice that is just as bad has been normalised and they don't yet realise how involved they are and how easy it can be to change that.
All the same though thanks for hearing me out on this, I appreciate it! If that's the way you get a better response from people changing then fair enough. I'm just going off of my own and other friends experience. Good luck with it all and all the best 👍
That recipe is so yummy - I have been vegan for only 7 days and your recipes have helped me transition from the meat laden life I have lead for over 60 years...I cant begin to tell you the difference I have felt in just 7 days its been a real eyeopener for me. Thank you for making this way of life simple to follow.
Are you still vegan?
Iwas desperate to find something really easy to help me eat through my greens, no dairy no oil and this was theperfect solution. Si tasty! Thank you!
This dressing is a deeam cone true!! So delicious, Ive been trying a lot of different vegan dressings and this one is by far the best!!
I'm allergic to lactose, soy and gluten but I love salads. I was sick of bland salads so I looked this. I can't wait to try this

+ChikachanParadise lol awesome!!
ChikachanParadise
Exclude the smelly farts.
have made this twice now. reall great dressing. I used it on pasta and spinach. And have used it as mayo with sweet potato wedges. A winner, thanks Anya.
So glad you like it :-)
migrantchick omg what a great idea! Thanks 😊👍
I just made this and I'm using it on my Caesar salad and my cauliflower buffalo "wings" and it's very tasty. I had to use blanched almonds because I didn't have any cashews on deck. Thanks you for this delicious recipe.
I just made this and it was great! This is my new go-to dressing. So good and so easy! I had it over steamed cauliflower, a baked sweet potato, and a cut tomato. Thanks much for this video!
2 tablespoons of Avocado Mayonnaise with one teaspoon of Grey Poupon Mustard. Mix well.
Served over a large bowl of Hearts of Romaine lettuce with chopped Cucumber slices, chopped canned Tuna, a sprinkling of Chickpeas. That's my Dinner for tonight Tuesday 7/30/19 @4:06pm; Bon Appetit! I'm trying the Plant Based Menu for 30days incorporating Fish only.
Just made. Used half of the quantities and it came out delicious. Totally worth trying
Love this because it does not require the nuts to have been soaked before hand.
searched for healthy vegan salad dressing and finally found one i want to try... i bet i will love it! am making it tonight!!..
Oh, I'm all in on this one! I simple *cannot* wait to make this! Good salad dressings are one area of my long vegan life that has gone without a lot of attention. That stops now!
Thank you for this recipe! I'm really excited to try this out!
+Sean Lumly Yes, this tastes amazing! Enjoy!
I just made this Caesar dressing and it came out good. It is a little gritty but I will continue to work on it. I also didn't have Dijon Mustard on hand so I used honey mustard. Love it! Thanks
Glad you like the recipe. It probably needs to be blender a bit longer if gritty. I don't use honey mustard because it's not vegan... but glad you loved the dressing!!
CookingWithPlants I'm following a vegetarian diet until I get ready to go full vegan: :) So I still eat honey as a vegetarian. I can't wait to go full vegan!
I just made this today. I've never been too crazy about green salads or raw salads I eat my vegetables sautéed, steamed or roasted. Well I guess it's just always been the dressing because I made this today and my salad was huge and to die for 😂👍 thank you so much!!!
That's fantastic! A good dressing makes all the difference!
CookingWithPlants yes it really does!
It's so good, I actually added olive oil, and also a spoon of vegan mayo to this mix and wow. Thank you !
you should try adding like a tea spoon of capers. it gets that anchovies taste of ceasars quite well.
Yum... that sounds great :-)
Absolutely love your recipes!! This is one of my favourite cooking channels. Keep up the good work! Much love from London :)
+Vegan Geezer Nice top too :)
+Vegan Geezer Thank you :-)
+Vegan Geezer Aww thank you :-)
I tried it today with tahini sauce. (I made tahini and almond milk myself) While I was making it I thought it's going to be a disaster. But when I tasted the final product, man it was so amazing. I love it. Thanks for the recipe.
I just made this. Was craving a creamy salad dressing and it is seriously amazing!!!! I also added half a lemon to this recipe :)
Just made this, it's actually delicious -- even better than real caesar! And I don't feel bad about using a heavy hand with the dressing. Thanks!
+Erin Cully So glad you like it :-)
So happy I had all the ingredients because I was able to make it in a pinch and serve over salad my friends didnt even know. they thought it was store bought.
That's fantastic! So happy to hear that!
This is very good! The best of the plant based Caesar Dressings so far.Thank you.
I completely agree with JustNatalie, you're a breath of fresh air! I'll definitely be trying this dressing and I made your almond cream cheese tonight too... how does it manage to taste so cheesey? It's magic! Thanks Anja.
+weehillywinky1 Thank you :-) x
Thank you! It´s better than I expected! I made it with coconut milk
This sounds fantastic, going to try it. I just started eating Vegan. I really want to do more raw vegan, but finding the right dressings/sauces to spice things up is hard. thank you so much. Will look for your cookbook.
Congrats on your vegan journey :-)
Fabulous recipe, what can"t cashews do. I added a teaspoon of bottled capers that adds a bit of "fishy" flavor to replace the anchovy paste in traditional Caesar dressing. I thought it was incredible. BTW, to go a little lower in fat and add a little protein, I have had good success using silken tofu in place of the cashews and plant milk. But nothing compares to the richness and creaminess of cashews.
Yes... cashews are a miracle :-)
Love oil free recipes, especially a nice dressing! Will definitely make this tomorrow.
+Tina Enjoy!
Did you make it? How was it? :)
What a warm energy coming from Her. Pleasure to watch ❤ Thank you for the recipe 🙏

Wow, thank you!
I added this dressing to my shredded beetroot salad with green vegetables. Absolutely amazing!!!! 😍😍😍
Sounds great!
I am going to make this tomorrow. This looks so simple yet so delicious.
It really is!
My husband is not Vegan, however, he loved this vegan Ceasar recipe. Thank you!
I need this NOW!!! YUM!! Caesar salad was my fav before eating more plant based.
+Jennifer Taylor lol go make it!! :-)
I use this same recipe as a hollandaise sauce, just add a bit of cayenne pepper and bit more mustard. It's delicious!
i like it, i make this @
tell me what do you think abaout it please it's my first food vegan i do
Hey, I just bought that cookbook and it is wonderful. The author is delightful. Thanks Anja.
+signmeupruss Thank you... so glad you like it :-) I use it every day myself!!
Thank you so much Anya, it's great to have a sugar free, savory dressing to eat!
+Jamie Torrence Glad you like it :-)
Add dill a bit more lemon juice and have Ranch. We love it.
Hello lovely!
I have to tell you that I've been making this regularly since you shared it, but last week we accidentally took it for a cheeze sauce in the fridge and warmed it up for pasta and my goodness it works a treat as a cream sauce with peas!!!
Love it when that happens. 😉
Fantastic!
Love the easy recipe. I like my dressings piquant, so I tripled the lemon juice, put one heaping tablespoon of dijon and a tablespoon of miso.
Made this dressing tonite. Wow.....delicious. Thanks again for all your wonderful recipes.
+Shellie Glad you like it :-) You're welcome!!
Tried it, tastes heavenly! Any ideas for reducing fat and substituting/reducing amount of cashews?
I am making a quinoa salad right now and putting it on. Sooooooo goooooood.
Perfect!!!
i just tried your recipe but without tahini.. the taste is so amazing.. thanks Anja.. peace from Indonesia
di soak dulu kah kak medenya? apa langsung pake aja?
I'm chewing this as I'm texting. Mind blown! I could do 2 raw meals a day now. I adjusted salt and pepper and added 3 tbsp follow you heart veganaise. This recipe is a tool every vegan needs😊
So glad you like it as much as I do !
I did Forks over Knives too and got equally similar good results
I made it and it was good!
My picking child even liked it. She dipped her organic chicken nuggets with them. Thanks!!
Anja you're a genius! Just made it and it's fantastic.
Thank you for your lovely comment. I really appreciate it :-)
I just made this dressing, it is very nice.
Finally made this! Made my first oat milk while I was at it. Thank you!!!
Awesome!!!
I have made this as a sauce! it was wonderful on rice :3
+Mykasan Fantastic!
Thank you for the idea.
a very concise and clear introduction to the beginner like me. hope more to learn from this site.
After coming from the grocery store where I tried to buy a decent dressing, but all I found was fat ladden, sugar filled, junk. This receipe will be on my refrigerator door.
Thanks.
I'm trying this tonight, can't wait!
Enjoy!
Ah! Finally an oil free dressing...I can have salad again. I'm so going to make this. My own experiments have been major fails. Thank you for this.
+Aura Gael Enjoy!
Tried it. So good. Would very much like to know the brand name of your blender.
Thank you 👍😊❤
My pleasure 😊 The tribest blender!
@@cookingwithplants 👍
I just tried out this recipe, it's amazingly yummy! ^^
Glad you like it :-)
Thank you for sharing such a great recipe, can't wait to try out your other recipes! ^^
I bet Indian black salt would give it that “eggy” flavor like a Caesar salad dressing would have - looks really good, Anja!
This dressing sound really delicious ☺ ...I don't use cashew nuts anymore though...because it's just not sustainable at all. What would you recommend as a substitute?
+Vran zi You could try sunflower seeds or almonds
This recipe is fanstastic! Sounds like you could add capers to give it some more savory notes 🤙
Thank you... yes capers are perfect in this :-)
Great idea! I love how you try everything at the end and thoroughly enjoy your food!
+balderdashery G Thanks. I do love to eat :-)
I love your cookbook Anja and I have made this fabulous dressing many times.
+Janet Small Fabulous :-) Great to heat it x
Thank you this is so appreciated! I've been wanting to incorporate more fresh salads to my meals (which I'm not really a fan of at the moment but know if I eat them regularly my body will begin to crave them) right now to get my veggies in I usually steam or stir fry.
Can I use walnuts instead of cashews? Thanks so much, I love your recipes and videos!!
yes
I made it tonight and it's delicious!
+Julie Olsen Fantastic :-) x
It sounds good and looks good but it may be a dumb question; what do you use as bacon bits and Parmesan cheese?
I don't use anything in place of bacon bits. For the parmesan, I have a vegan version on my website
CookingWithPlants, thank you for a response.
I am fairly new to "this way of foods", which can be somewhat daunting and also, confusing (depending on recipes and who is "more" right. Hence my question.
Thanks again.
Take care and I will look up what's on your website.
(I feel overloaded on my brain and... eyes LOL)
Wondering if you can’t use anchovies...since vegan...if adding fish oil to dressing would be a good idea? Thoughts?
Fish oil is not vegan
I made it with tahini. so yummy thanks!
Glad you like it :-)
Thank you so much Anja!!! I just made this dressing for my salad tonight. It tastes fantastic!!! can't wait to put it on my salad and other things! lol. Keep putting up great vegan dishes!!
So glad you like it :-)
omg, thank goodness for this recipe cuz I Love Ceasar Salads!
+DENNISLOPEZINC Excellent :-) x
Y’all I’m not even vegan, and this dressing is the bomb! Yasss!!
So glad you like it. Give my other recipes a try too... you'll be surprised 😊
Thanks. It’s easiest recipe I’ve seen so simple.
Anja, I LOVE watching your videos. I have a batch of fries in the oven right now. When you make this recipe, or others with nuts do you restrict how much of the dressing you put on your salads, or fries? I am loving the weight loss side effect of eating a plant-based diet, but still afraid of the amount of fat in things. I am eating whole foods, minimal processed foods as I love cooking for my family. Thanks for any advice!
I don't really restrict or measure. I just try to eat as many whole plant based foods as possible and add things like nuts etc to taste. If you are trying to lose weight I recommend that you keep a food diary so that you can pin-point which foods are making you gain weight and which ones help you to lose. If in doubt, eat more greens and starch based foods such as rice and potato. :-)
I just made this dressing.. it is a fabulous thank you..it's one of my favorites
Thanks! I may be one of a few who dislikes cashews, so I used macadamia nuts instead and got some heaven.
Thank you for the recipe! How much tahini, and how much soya sauce would you suggest to add?
Yumm can I use white beans instead of cashews or are the cashews necessary to give it that flavor?
How long does this last in the fridge ? It’s lovely thank you …
Thank. you for mentioning a way to substitute Nutritional yeast! a life saver. Im a little afraid to use it due to my husband's past intestinal issues.
Thank you for another amazing recipe! I have never eaten a salad so fast in my life :D
:D
I'm sorry if I missed it, but how long does this dressing keep for in the fridge? And how many servings do you think this recipe makes? I can't wait to make it!
+Jennifer Grey About 5 to 7 days... it makes about 1 1/2 cups worth.
It looks wonderful. Just wondering if maybe sunflower seeds could be subbed in for cashews as my wife is allergic to nuts?
Yes that should work.
Know we can get your cookbook in Kindle version on Amazon in the States. Hope there will be a hard copy available soon!
+Janice Johnson You can get the hard copy in the States using Blurb. Here are my two cookbooks: www.blurb.com/user/store/mitchcass Just select the hard copy version :-) x
h ,thanks for sharing ,please could you tell me if I can store in fridge and how long it will keep....thanks
+ellasonmi451 Yes, about 5 days
thank you!!!
just made it and it's delicious!!!
Glad you like it as much as I do :-)
Hey Anja, this may be a stupid question but is this really oil free? Was wondering because it has the peanuts in it. Love your channel. X
+Eline van der Laan Nuts and seeds are whole foods Adding nuts and seeds to one's salad boosts the bioavailability of the fat-soluble carotenoid phytonutrients in the greens. Whereas oils are empty calories that have had the fibre and nutrition removed. They are just liquid fats.
Thank you! X
Oh wow, it looks delicious! :) Thank you so much! I love these type of recipes that are so simple but delicious to introduce nice vegan dishes to loved ones! I love that salad!
+Isabella Dugarte Glad you like it
I’m excited to try this. People on different threads have talked about miso paste and marmite for some of these sauces and cheeses. Have you ever played around with those in these types of recipes?
I sure have :-) Check out my website and search for miso. You'll see all the recipes that use it :-) cookingwithplants.com/?s=miso
This dressing looks delicious can't wait to make it!
+Peggy D Enjoy!
is there anything that you can use as an alternative to nutritional yeast ?
A bit of miso paste or a mixture of tahini and soy sauce
Your recipes are so simple and delicious thank you for sharing it’s made eating plant based no oil a lot easier.🌺🌺🌺
Thank you so much 😊
Is that okay of I replace the cashew nuts with almonds chopped for salads? Im gonna make this tomorrow, and I just wanna know if this is okay.
+Ashley Lucas Yes :-)
Is the lemon juice a must? Or you can leave it out
When I was a little girl they made the original Cesar Salad at the table - at Cesar's in Tijuana.. My mom knew how to do it.
Fabulous :-)
If I were to make this in advance, How long can I keep it in the refrigerator before it spoils?
About 3 days
Just what I've been looking for! now I can get my sis to make me some coleslaw and add this dressing :)
OMGSH 😍 The only thing wrong with this is that i could eat it ALL in one sitting!
lol
