HARDCORE NUZLOCKE RULES (POKEMON HARD MODE)

1. Only Pokemon with a Fire-typing can be used in battle.
2. I can only try to catch the first Fire-type that I encounter in each area.
3. If a Pokemon faints it cannot be used for the remainder of the run.
4. If my whole team faints then the attempt is over.
5. No items in battle (held items are okay).
6. Set mode enabled.
7. I cannot over-level beyond the highest level of the next gym. The level cap is shown in the overlay.
8. No duplicate species can be caught. Encounters for species that I have caught previously are re-rolled.
9. Any shiny Fire-type can be caught regardless of whether it is the first encounter of an area.
10: WILD AREA: Limit of one initial encounter on my first visit and one additional encounter for each gym badge. Isle of Armor encounters are included in this limit.

Well, Galar is the uk of pokemon.
Ninetails learn energy ball because of their inspiration. Kitsunes can drain people of their life force, also in some cultures they have a jewel in their mouth.
That's fascinating! It's cool to understand the real life inspiration for certain Pokemon and how that translates into the game
My explanation is based off of a dev entry of Ninetails. Since it was created by 9 powerful wizards turning themselves into a creature by uhhh trapping their life energies in that entity we know as Ninetails. They’re wizards, there is no need for more explanation lol

Part of my love for type solo nuzlockes is because I like to think the trainer walks into the same type gym, looks the gym leader in the eye, and informs them that they are coming for their job before wiping the floor with the leader.
Especially in the Galar region since it's in front of a full stadium :')

TORKOAL was the MVP. A Very Good Run. I was a tad dissapointed that Volcarona was not used tho.
Torkoal is king! Larvesta evolves so late and if I was going to use a Fire/Bug at the end I'd have to stay loyal to my Spicy Noodle

I love seeing hardcore nuzlockes of newer generations, this was great! I've pretty much always picked fire starters through the years and while I'm not huuuge on cinderace (its shiny is very cool though) its nice to see it get some usage. RIP that rotom that was on the team for like 3.6 seconds- gone but not forgotten

I like the water type starters because it's not a starter a lot of people use so that's why and I just pick fire and grass type for every Pokemon game and wanted something different

Let's just agree that all the starters have their own charms, grookeys line is borked, scorbunnys line is pretty neat, and sobbles line means you don't need to hunt down a water type.

@@rocketman8808 Well, The Big Spicy Noodle is 4x weak to rock. And Drednaw can learn some decent Rock-type moves. Plus, its Atk is Also really good.

I was struggling in my own Sword Nuzlocke because I dont have any eancounters for Beas Gym left that arent weak to either fighting or Dark so…thanks a TON for reminding me that Ninetails learns Nasty Plot. Guess she wont kill me after all..

Great video, I really enjoyed! For your next, please do Kalos with Psychic types. I feel like this could be a very interesting run, with a decent amount of psychic pokemon available including Delphox, Meowstic, Gallade and Grumpig.

I actually was going to pick scorebunny on my first run then I saw sobble cry and I ended up choosing him. He actually does really well in a playthrough and can learn some pretty good moves. Also it’s shiny is pretty good too.

This was such a fun run to watch! The Fire type is one of my favorites, so I loved seeing you appreciate it throughout :D Torkoal was the real MVP for me in this run--and kinda unexpectedly if I'm honest! I had no idea the little turtle was so bulky :0
Also, the editing was once again top-notch! I especially liked the little pop-ups with item info and gym leader teams. Of course, the memes were great as well XD

Why do people hate Inteleon so much?
Once I evolved Drizzile Into Inteleon, it carried me through the mid game and some of the later parts towards the end of the game.
Just give it Snipe Shot and an item that boosts water attacks!

My least favorite starter is probably Scorbunny, I don't know why, but I still like it. I originally liked sobble the most but I think I like grookey more, and I think that they're the best starter for pokemon sword since they resist gym one and is super effective against gym two. I think this is important because the earlier into the game you are the weaker your pokemon are and you have less access to other pokemon to use. I also hate facing the route 7 hop battle two nuzlockes in a row it has destroyed me because at least one of his pokemon can use super effective moves against my pokemon. I've gotten through it both times but in my flying only nuzlocke i lost to the rock gym and in my normal nuzlocke i lost to the dragon gym trainer with the ninetales and turtonator.
