I remember hearing about a dude who exposed a traffic light in low to middle class neighborhoods that would be rigged to get parking tickets racked up, the person who discovered this had several attempts on his life by the government of that city
Yup, I remember that as well. They tried literally running him off the road and stalked his goddamn house. They *really* didnt like him blowing the whistle on their scheme.
My mate whistleblew on child abuse in the foster care system. It was embarrassing to the government. She was threatened with jail time and lost her job. The journalist reporting on it did two stories then was quietly told to drop the story. The paper wouldn't publish it any more. So she did.
CPS/DHS here in America have had similar things said about them, and the woman who was looking onto the case was “found” murdered. I hope things will get better for your friend. I’m sorry to hear that she was fired too.
Fun fact: Jordan's statement came out the same day it was announced that former NSW premier Kristina Keneally's cop son didn't get jail time for wrongfully imprisoning an activist using falsified evidence he wrote himself, despite prosecutors pushing hard for sentencing to reflect the severity of the crime. He just has a 15 month correction order, 200 hours community service, and a $2000 fine for putting an innocent person in jail for three weeks because he lied. The only reason the activist was released was because he recorded the phone conversation the cop lied about without his knowledge.
It’s gross is what it is, Australia really is a it’s not what ya know it’s who ya know society. Lying & putting innocent ppl in jail need harsher penalties. These politicians are all cut from the same cloth, mark my words.
Another fun fact: Most of the early British settlers on Australian land were convicts. Crime has been a staple of the Australian people from the start.
What makes what you just mentioned worse is that I remember a while back that Australia tried to make it so cops could just delete files on your phone without your permission and could order you to hand over your phone and do that. I can't say that the law was deemed legal by the courts, but really it's the fact that the legislatures tried that is the issue here.

@@itsjustmaddisen To be fair, this entire video is about how their government is too corrupt to rely on the metrics they provide. It's not an apples to apples comparison.
It’s got little to do with the Penal colony heritage - it’s more about colonialism and Empire. The Rum Corp (colonial police) were a problem from the start. While many of the convicts became respected citizens of society, the Police used their position throughout their history to further their own interests and protect institutionalised crime. Armed insurrection (Rum Rebellion), oppressing citizens (Eureka stockade and radicalisation of citizens into outlaws ie Ned Kelly) and protecting wealthy criminals is a symptom of the corruption of societal institutions, not a ‘heritage of crime’ in the populace. Many convicts were convicted of crimes like stealing a loaf of bread, and like the Irish potato famine, used to resettle workers into the colonial interests of the establishment. Like ‘other’ events happening right now, it’s the corruption of institutionalised power that’s the problem, not the people who can be victims to it. It’s English colonial imperialism that should be remembered as the root of the problem, and if we don’t learn the lessons of history, it will repeat in echoes throughout time

Charlie, i've watched your videos for a long time. Usually just for your enjoyable takes on shitty people. But seeing you advocate for one of the few people in Australia who has constantly used his platform to try and help Australian's has earned my instant respect. Our country has fallen a long way, especially NSW, coming to embody a truly broken state of affairs. Thank you for shining a light on this and using your platform to help people see how bad things have gotten. From, another Australian.
As a fellow person who lives in that state I’m honestly not surprised the amount stuff that happens in here that’s just the bare minimum I’ve heard from someone they got stabbed and couldn’t move his hand for a whole month and the charges got dropped all of because one thing he said and it was I got mental health issues and chargers were instantly dropped plus the young kids Nowadays have the wrong role models to look up to this state keeps getting worse and worse.
The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through a nine stage sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; *from complacence to apathy; from apathy to dependence; from dependency back again into bondage.* "Four steps for ideological subversion". (Yuri Bezmenov, Former KGB Propaganda Agent, 1985) Complacency 1. Demoralization - this is a process which can take about 15-30 years to perform (a generation). During this stage, the moral fibre and integrity of the country is put into question, thereby creating doubt in the minds of the people. To do so, manipulation of the media and academia is required to influence young people. As the younger generation embraces new values, such as Marxism and Leninism, *the older generation slowly loses control simply through attrition.* Again, true facts no longer matter during this stage, but rather creating perceptions are of paramount importance. Eliminating American exceptionalism, fundamental change of national identity, structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Embedding a new societal design upon the psyche of generations through ideological academia, peer pressure by elites upon academics and society to convince that prior values were inherently flawed, racist, prejudiced etc. National identity is diluted with aspersions toward historical references. National History is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values. Apathy “As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore,” said Bezmenov. “A person who was demoralized is unable to assess true information. The facts tell nothing to him. Even if I shower him with information, with authentic proof, with documents, with pictures; even if I take him by force to the Soviet Union and show him [a] concentration camp, he will refuse to believe it, until he [receives] a kick in his fan-bottom. When a military boot crashes his balls then he will understand. But not before that. That’s the [tragedy] of the situation of demoralization.” Dependence 2. Destabilization - the purpose of this step is to change the status quo, particularly the country's economy, foreign relations, and defense systems. *The intent is to create a massive government permeating society and becoming intrusive in the lives of its citizens.* This can take from two to five years to perform, again with the active support of academia pushing youth in this direction. *Here, entitlements and benefits are promised to the populace to encourage their support. Basically, they are bribing the people to accept their programs.* Bezmenov claims after this stage is completed, the naive college professors are no longer needed and since they will undoubtedly protest government policies when they discover the truth, they will be disposed of quickly. He cites examples of this occurring in Nicaragua, Grenada, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh. 3. Crisis-This is a major step lasting up to six weeks and involves a revolutionary change of power. This is where a cataclysmic event (false flag event, civil war, invasion) upsets and divides the country thereby creating panic among the citizens. To Americans, symptoms would include circumventing the Constitution (re: Use "privately owned" social media sites to restrict free speech/First Amendment rights) and altering the checks and balances of government (see: Video and article I posted above), and possible martial law. Creation of economic financial and national security crisis. Also includes social crisis and a breakdown of previously self-evident restrictions on moral behavior. The Cloward-Piven approach is used to create more takers than producers (higher population than available jobs, necessitating government aid) *The crisis produces benevolent leaders who will promise to deliver things to meet people's needs through “hope and change” through social and economic justice.* False illusion that the situation is under control if strategic directions are followed-Bailouts, regulations of industry and so forth. Bondage 4. Normalization - the final stage is where the populace finally acquiesces and begins to assimilate communism. This can take up to two decades to complete. Bezmenov claimed the first step, Demoralization, was completed well before his 1985 interview. In fact, the Russians were surprised how easily it had been performed. One clear indicator of the moral decay of the country is the decline of organized religion which, historically, has been a beacon for morality, but now it is in retreat.
The uncomfortable feelings of change including losses of freedom are absorbed and accepted, lost national identity becomes accepted as the norm within the new societal model. A period of national rebranding transition where people are so overwhelmed by change they become numb and begin to accept a "new normal."

@@itsjustmaddisen To be fair, this entire video is about how their government is too corrupt to rely on the metrics they provide. It's not an apples to apples comparison.
@@itsjustmaddisenpoeple honestly don't remember this historical fact enough....

There is a beacon of hope in the darkness here. The fact that people are reuploading this is genuinely great. The more people reupload, the harder it’ll be to silence them. Especially if people are posting in other countries, where NSW has no authority over. Once something is on the internet for long enough, it’s impossible to get it off. So like, make a meme about it, make a short or a tiktok, put some subways surfers on the bottom just in case, any reason to push this video out there as much as possible.

This situation is not a foregone conclusion unless we decide that it is. All it takes is a reupload, or even just pushing pre-existing reuploads, that’s it. You want to know what would happen to our guns if someone firebombed our house?
We wouldn't use them. Because, just so you know, a firebombing is usually a hit and run situation, where the assailant books it as soon as the blaze starts.
We're not going to be firing potshots from the windows, we're going to be getting all of our family and pets and important devices out of the burning house.
The only time owning a gun is helpful in a self defense situation is when you already have it on or near your person, or you know there is going to be a threat on your life.
@@phoenixmarktwo Fun fact: 2021 saw 6,465 events of arson. For a country our size, that's a relatively small amount.
The UK, however, saw 496,760 in 1 year. That's way more than our gun crime😂. So I get why YOU are worried about "fire bombings". Once the UK banned guns, then knives, it all moved to arson and acid attacks. It's almost as if people are gonna be shitty no matter the mode in which they choose to be violent with.
Firearms, in a defensive use case, are used an estimated 1.7 million times in a year. This doesn't always involve firing, or killing an assailant. Compare the amount of people in your country with how many are in ours. Couple that with the fact that illegal immigration increases the amount of gun violence.
But back to your specific comment. Fire bombings and not escaping with your firearms. You're correct. That's not my main focus. My first duty is to my family. However, being former military, I always sleep with a firearm either right next to me, or already attached to my pants or in my main jacket. Beyond that, a lot of 2A families have a firearm in their vehicle. Truck gun. Your worries are so niche, I've quite literally never heard of fire bombings being a prevalent issue in America. Moreover, someone fire bombs me in the middle of the night, they've already got the jump on me anyways.
Either way, I'd rather have the option to defend myself and my family, rather than have the pigs take notes over our bodies that I was unable to defend. Keep your communism in whatever country you hail from, and I'll keep my community safe by whatever means necessary.

My father didn’t care because he’d always do his darnedest to not get into any politics whatsoever (he hated getting involved in politics, even though it likely would have helped his career even more, at least from what my mother tells me). He did what had to be done and then left not long after.
He never liked talking about all the work he did throughout his life (not just in NSW) around the world, but he did tell me that the government over there was a joke. He didn’t usually say that sort of stuff… he might have called the NSW government a circus too… the nepotism also made him extremely mad as he always believed in giving the right job to the right person, merit based if you will.

When tyranny is law, resistance becomes duty...
We got this over here in the United States too, but to mention it people brush it off and say they don’t care.
Always happens, know one cares. Depressing
The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through a nine stage sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; from spiritual faith to great courage; from courage to liberty; from liberty to abundance; from abundance to selfishness; from selfishness to complacency; *from complacence to apathy; from apathy to dependence; from dependency back again into bondage.*
"Four steps for ideological subversion". (Yuri Bezmenov, Former KGB Propaganda Agent, 1985)
Complacency
Apathy
“As I mentioned before, exposure to true information does not matter anymore,” said Bezmenov. That’s the [tragedy] of the situation of demoralization.”
Dependence
2. Basically, they are bribing the people to accept their programs.*
Bezmenov claims after this stage is completed, the naive college professors are no longer needed and since they will undoubtedly protest government policies when they discover the truth, they will be disposed of quickly.
The Cloward-Piven approach is used to create more takers than producers (higher population than available jobs, necessitating government aid)
*The crisis produces benevolent leaders who will promise to deliver things to meet people's needs through “hope and change” through social and economic justice.* False illusion that the situation is under control if strategic directions are followed-Bailouts, regulations of industry and so forth.
Bondage
This is the reason why I bury my life in games, the're worlds where there IS hope, there IS a happy ending, but in real life, there is no happy ending, the bad guys win and the people suffer.
