I just wanted to add something, I recently saw one girl (who is my height and weight) share on her socials that she feels unhappy and big. Whereas I’m very content with my current weight. So never compare yourself with others! I eat what I want, I eat when I’m hungry and I definitely don’t starve myself to look a certain way, I just naturally prefer intermittent fasting since about a year or so ago. So remember, comparison is a thief of joy. Do what works for your body.
So happy to see you have found your physical and mental balance :). Regarding intermittent fasting, there is some solid proof that women can reach best health when introducing some variation into their fasting lifestyle. Here's some advice that I have noted while reading/listening to experts of the field, mostly Mindy Pelz. Maybe will be relevant to you or anyone in the comments: Fasting for women in their reproductive years, according to days/phases of the menstruation cycle: Fast as you please day 1- day 10. Keto-type whole foods and foods high in greens and low in glucose preferred. At day 10 - 15, estrogen production is at its peak. It is best not to fast. If you must fast, maintain max 13-15hours fasting window. Days 16-20, progesterone production, some recommend longer fasts here, or stick to 13-15hrs fasting to stay in a balanced & minimal stress state if your life is already full of intensity. Day 21 - 28, progesterone production is at its peak. Do not go for long fasts here if you're trying to conceive. The side effect of fasting in this timeline includes anxiety and shut down all other hormones in a woman’s body. Great time to introduce more carbs in form of root vegetables. Increasing your carb intake will improve the production of progesterone in your body. Hurray! No shutdown. Limit intense physical training at this stage to minimize cortisol.
Yesss! Thanks for sharing this. I have watched Mindy's TikTok where she broke this down and found it so interesting. I am yet to try this plan though but I am sure it is the most optimal way of eating for women. Our hormones are like whole different world! Thank you so much for this again.
Thank you for sharing Brigita! You look beautiful. The orange jumpsuit looks gorgeous on you! I have red a lot about intermittent fasting. And I am convinced that it has a lot of health benefits. I most of the time do it the way you do it now. I start with coffee and will eat in the afternoon when I am hungry. Xx
Hi Deborah, thank you so much! I love intermittent fasting but some days I do eat brekkie if I feel like it. The best is to always listen to your body! x
Thank you for sharing your story and being vulnerable. Weight is always such a touchy subject so I appreciate you opening up :) When I started flying I gained 7-8 kgs as well, trying all the new food, eating at random hours, not sleeping normally.. and since you never know when your next opportunity to eat is, you just go for it, chug it down quickly without really appreciating it.. and when you're tired eating helps, at least for me 😅 Luckily with time my appetite and weight stabilized and I am content about my body size. Now I just have to work on my strength and endurance!
Hi Abby! Yesss, all of what you said resonated so much! I totally know how it feels, the eating at night and not knowing when you'll eat next etc. I follow a FA from USA and she said the same that she tends to eat more on night legs. Just listen to your body and make sure to move it in ways that feel good. You're doing great! 😊❤️
This is amazing and so inspiring, I’m a shift worker and it’s really hard to work out consistently, I would love to lose 1 stone to feel better so hearing about fasting and diet choices is great!! Thank you! Xxx❤
Hi Gemma! Thanks so much for watching. Shift work is hard - especially at night when you need energy to stay awake, people tend to eat more! So don't feel bad about it. Just focus on protein and nutritional foods. But yes, fasting has many benefits! Find what works for you. x
1000!% Even today I tried to eat at 11am and I felt gross afterwards because I typically eat at noon onwards now. My body really has stopped craving food when I wake up and I don’t want to do something that does not feel good. Do you drink coffee on an empty stomach?
Your arms look so toned/have some nice muscle to them. You honestly look fantastic in this video, just very healthy. However you've always looked groomed/stylish/taken care of yourself ❤
Thank you so so much! I really appreciate it. I still have some fitness goals I wanna achieve but definitely taking it easy, giving myself grace and allowing myself to enjoy foods that may not always be the healthiest from time to time. All about balance :)
Intermittent fasting is a good think, there is a book 'Fast like a girl' it easy explains how it works and what it does to woman's body. Just make sure your coffee is black and no sweeteners added. I wish to exercise more but I'm too lazy, can't move from the sofa. I got into lazy routine, were i'm working from home, well barely working, and most of my day is free but I can't leave my laptop. So sitting watching tv, reading books, tidy house😅
I actually now this book but got it some time ago but haven’t read it yet. Thanks for the reminder! To be honest, me neither - I am not a “walk 10k steps person” and I also work from home that’s why I’m very honest when I say I try to move my body twice a week haha. We all are different - some people enjoy working out a lot, some not and that’s ok. Just do what works for you 😊🙏🏼
I never got to eat burgers much either. When I turned 19 and graduated, I started buying burgers with my own money all the time. Same with cereals, we were never allowed to have them, so I started binging them too. Thanks for the video B. (:
Hey Olga! Nope, nothing. I only went to a few INFRASLIM spinning classes which combine spinning, vacuum and infrared light. So not exactly a machine but it helps to debloat/get rid of water weight (especially beneficial after flights) and to nourish your skin with the infrared light.
It really varies! I don’t like to eat late in the evening so usually my last meal is between 6-8pm and then I’ll have brekkie/lunch at noon or sometimes even later. So I’d say vaguely maybe 16/8 ratio? 😊
@@imbrigita okayyy the video puts things into the right perspective (I was just joking first of all 🙂). I would've never told your weight was 88 kgs and but at the same time didn't know U are 175cm (pretty tall). The most vital factor however is how You feel with yourself and if your BMI is okay 🤟 so - all one can say is - congracts! 🤟
Hey! No, actually not. Does it look different to you? I guess just the overall swelling has come down from my face since giving up alcohol and losing the extra weight.
If intermittent fasting worked for you, great. Do it. I have been following you for sometime, and your weight never bothered me. In fact you are still beautiful. I have to lose some serious weight. But I will consult a dietician. Although I am not diabetic, I have insulin resistance. So my journey will be eating healthy, exercise, and I will definitely go for lipo laser suction and/or fat freezing. And skin toning as well. So there is a lot of work for me. But you look so good. And do yourself a favor. Stay off alcohol. Not worth it.
Thanks for sharing your story Andre! Have you ever tried low-carb eating? Though I’m sure your dietician will advise what’s best for you. And yes! Alcohol robbed me of so much - mentally and physically. So glad I no longer depend on it to cope with stress. 🙏🏼
@@imbrigita I have already cut out obvious sugar. I just don't buy it any more. I need to drink more water. But I am a vegetarian or should I say piscatarian. I am thinking more along the Mediterranean diet. But I will get there. I intend to retire end of June. And moving into an apartment on a gholf estate with a direct view of the sea. So I intend to reduce my stress levels drastically. But yes, I don't use sugar now for a couple of years. Hidden sugars are a problem.
@@nikitajohnson8012 Yes. People are usually very critical looking at themselves. And from what I could see on her instagram posts, it was not an issue for me.
