Buckin' Billy Ray Smith if you have ever heard of a man by the name of Gale Banks he talks a lot about intake air density and how if you can increase the intake air density if a saw has a weather shutter maybe if you widen the shutter opening you might be able to get more air into the saw to make more power and maybe a narrow slit in the top cover like a ram air setup to suck more cooler air into the filter

Buckin, Congrats on 50K:]!!! Hogan, had the same problem with one of my Holtzaforma 372 kit saws shuting down. After many Hrs chasing that demond finaly figured it out. The fuel line they use is a lot more rigid and tightly coiled in the fuel tank. Also the fuel filter was not heavy enough to keep in in the "Petrol" thus she was sucking air and shutting down. Replaced the fuel line with a more flexable one and went with a heavier fule filter and now she stays in the gas! Hope this helps someone somewhere.Keep spreading the love. Buckin, I think you should start your own "Sunday go to Meeting" hr. I know I would tune In!

I run a little stihl ms170 it’s about the same size as your stihl you climb with I ported the muffler myself it cuts really good for a 33 cc saw thanks to your sharping videos

Really enjoy my Holz even after at least 150+ tanks. The muffler bolts came loose and needed to be cranked. The starter rope also just died and needs to be updated to something domestic, but otherwise, a magnificent saw. I’ve been running it rich and it still screams, and I only added a second port to the muffler just because. It’s showing ~13,600 on the tach. And the Holz chain is phenomenal.
2 stroke exhausts Ive spent the last year doing vidjays mostly on 2 stroke expansion chambers and wrote some software for the purpose which is all based on the research of Professor Gordon Blair in 1996, his research articles (published by SAE) also covers chainsaw engines and box type mufflers and there is equations he provides for box type mufflers to provide the best power and In due course Ill be doing some vids on that and may add it to the software. PS, congrats on the 50k subs Buddy.
