Always love seeing Buster. Such a sweetie. Hopefully he feels better with new meds, etc. Love seeing your stitching and kits. I was/am stitching Mary Wigglesworth by HATS while watching your video. I converted the text to the coronation earlier this year. Have a wonderful holiday! Hope you enjoy your time off from work.
Coffee and Eggs! I'm obsessed with it. The pink can definitely be replaced with something more muter or prim and work just fine. It kind of stands out, and its one of the only DMCs in the pattern.
You've got some great stuff kitted up, I do enjoy the planning time of the year - everything is possible! Like the Dark 13 Stacy Nash and the wonderful Modern Folk Embroidery. That clock speaks to me too.
Poor sweet Buster! It’s so tough when our fur buddies get older and they can’t tell us what’s bothering them. I’ve had quite a few pill organizers on the counter in my own house too for various fur friends. I love all your upcoming projects! It’s so fun this time of year, seeing what everyone is plotting and scheming about for the next year’s stitching. (And doing some plotting and scheming of my own.) I hope you get everything you want for Christmas and that you have a wonderful New Year!
Loved seeing all your kitted projects!! I have a lot as well and have been sorting through them to decide what I want to start and which WIPs should get the most love. See you in the New Year!!
Currently working on Feast of Friendship. I have the border done and just finished the house. I didn't like the "blocks" of color in the house. Instead I pulled 5 dark blues from my stash and I'm doing one thread of each then move on to the next color just rotating thru them. Instead of doing straight rows of fill-in as I stitch I do 6-10 stitches in one row, drop down and do maybe the same or 1 or 2 more or less. I make little "blobs" of the color. It looks so much better than the stark color changes in the pattern. I'm using: Classic Colorworks - Blacksmith Blue, Blue Corn, Wavy Navy and WDW - Pea Coat, Twilight. I'm thinking of changing the words to Harvest Gatherings. Good luck with yours.
I too am a process stitcher. My available walls are pretty much filled with reproduction samplers. I am paralyzed by my 70+ WIPS. I was tinkering with the idea of making 2024 the year of working on Carriage House/Kathy Barrick patterns though.
I agree with coffee dying it and bake it briefly! You don't like it anyway, so it cannot hurt it!! Try it even if for fun and let us know how it turned out!
I laughed at the beginning of this video is I also run really warm, hadn't really cut my hair since I got married (5+ years?) and I just got 7-8 inches chopped off with lots of short layers, it has been AMAZING. So much lighter and easier to maintain, and I'm getting ready to redye it this weekend (purple/red) and I'm anticipating it being a lot easier. lol
Yeah unfortunately they just put the count on the sticker on the front generally so they can pull the correct count for shipping. It doesn't give any other information. Other info is the club that the piece is a part of.
You should change the "Sew Sisters" to "Got Big Buns", lol. Also, Colour and Cotton has an 'email when available' function now on those thread clubs so that might help. If you end up donating that partial stitch on neon orange halloween piece, I wonder if it could be tea dyed to tone those colors down? that might "correct" the purple fabric and the neon orange. I only mention because I was able to get rid of some weird green streaks in my "Marbled Pointer" from XJUdesigns by dipping in a smidge of fuchsia dye--worked great and saved my planned project. Anyhow, just love your floss tube so much. Enjoy all this stitch time and decompress. Thanks again for the content. and merry Christmas!
Yesss Emily! I HATE ice too!! Same reason- I don’t want watered down drinks. Mine is broken in my freezer. After years I finally caved and bought ice trays purely for company or making smoothies.
My 14yr old cat has hyperthyroidism and is on meds twice a day. A very high dose too. But has all the signs of hypothyroidism (doesn’t eat much, lots of litter box time, and sleeps a lot). The medicine is a transdermal gel that goes in her ear flap and it irritates her so much but I can’t give her oral medicine (throws everything up instantly). It has been a journey getting her thyroid under control; hopefully it’s a smoother process with Buster
Check out crosshatch quilts #29, for autumn at lazy bear mountain. She’s using Thornfield 40ct by needle and flax with NPI silks and it looks amazing!!
Sorry Buster may have hyperthyroidism. I’m on my 2nd cat with it. Because they feel hunger more frequently I feed mine whenever he asks for food just to maintain his weight and I supplement his cat food with human grade chicken, fish, eggs…whatever protein he will eat. This has made quite a difference in how he looks and feels compared to the first cat I had with it who got pretty miserable and thin. 🙁

Love your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!

Argh I love so many of those! I have finished 2 pages of the EF sampler. It's gorgeous and I need to get back to that....
Lots of great projects to choose from next year!

I just curled mine to go to dinner. Don't know if its easier but it sure is lighter lol.
What a great collection of 2024 & beyond future starts.
Your tree is so pretty.
Buster is so cute, I hope he does well with his meds.

Emily, the sticker on the front of the kitted one from Country Sampler says 36 count but your fingers kept the rest from being seen. Love their kits

Good morning happy Monday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you

So sorry to hear about Buster, hoping you get everything figured out with meds for him.
Oh I've not seen As the Crow Flies, that's pretty!
Hannah Peniston...🤣 Why would you not stitch that! Loved seeing your kitted up projects. Ha ha ha Happy Holidays Emily!
Loved to see all your possible projects for 2024. Can't wait to see what you decide on for your new hair look.

Vet literally just called. His level is twice the high end of the normal level. Headed to pick up pills before they close today. Fingers crossed.
@@emilyc325 oh nooo. Poor baby. Fingers crossed.

Maybe you could coffee dye your Autumn on Lazy Bear Mountain?

Coffee dye that first piece!
the eye twitch might be a magnesium or potassium deficiency

That's really good advice. 💕 Thank you.
