About the chant:

** A chant sung by the Knights Templars, it had filled their hearts with courage and purpose.
Veni, Sancte Spiritus (Come, Holy Spirit) is a traditional prayer asking for the grace of the Holy Spirit. It has been used for centuries as a prayer of private devotion. The texts appear in the propers for the feast of Pentecost in both the Mass and Divine Office and also in the votive Mass of the Holy Spirit.

As a practicing Catholic, I can say that Gregorian Chants or Templar Chants are great for praying
I was fortunate enough to convert, and early in my conversion to choose the Latin Mass.
I have thus been confirmed in Latin, received my first confession in Latin, received my first communion in Latin, and now I chant in the Latin Mass.

As a Protestant, these songs transport me more than modern Christian songs, as beautiful as they are.
Catholics understood that the spiritual aspect of songs was a great source of meditation for prayer.

My mother died of pancreatic cancer and people said that that she deserved it because her faith wasn't strong enough. I have since met many priests and wile they have changed my views. I still remains an atheist...

I am here because of the music...I'm not a Christian so couldn't understand the deep feelings related with the song. But still love it very much as the music shook my heart and aided me to get the shallow meaning of this magnificent song. I know lil bit about the Holy crusades, but suddenly I don't know from where I started to remember them, their march towards the battlefield , their heroics and their selfless attitude towards their religion. Perhaps Music is really the cosmic language.
