Keep up the good work spino, waiting for this ! i'm gonna do a video about it for sure for my community as they are asking for an F-15EX showcase in DCS
Being somebody who's written on the F-15EX for Simple Flying, and trying to get back into DCS World - stoked at this news. Hope V2 comes with air-to-ground weapons and a helmet-mounted sight, understand if no.
@@SpinosSimulations Why can't you add guided bombs? For example, in Gripen mode, even maverick is thrown. Is it related to another issue or is it too troublesome?
Is the current HUD just a stand-in? Everything I am finding is pointing to a different dual combiner set up with both rounded at the top, the same on the F-15QA. Not talking about the symbology though, who knows
Yes they were, and I wouldn't be surprised if LREW gets cancelled and USAF ends up using AIM-174. That would seem like the smart move, but it hasn't happened yet.
The AIM-120s don't have thrust vectoring! I thought you already knew that. What's going on with that spiraling is a missile specific problem though, not yours! The plane only launches or releases it from the pylon. It's the missiles' navigation and/or guidance and control system that gives inputs to it's flight control fins which needs corrections.
It's a value in the missile codes, it's not exclusive to thrust vectoring missiles, something related to it changed so all not recently updated modded missiles with/without thrust vectoring does the wacky spiral thing.
@@kermittoad So it's not about thrust vectoring at all, and the AIM-120 doesn't even have it, as I repeat! It's the flight controls system that has glitches!
No ASG-34 Legion IRST pod? That's...unfortunate. Do you know that, as a principle replacement for the aged-out F-15C, the USAF F-15EX will primarily fly as an ASA and OCA jet, without CFT? It will make a huge difference in both acceleration and sustained EM values if you can release the 610s to clean the airframe rather than having to carry HRL+Stub mounted CFT into combat with all their drag penalty. Word is both the Sniper and AAQ-13 pod will also not be on the jet's inlet stations, for the moment. Just saying that a 29,000lb IPE engined jet, combined with a 15,000lb weight shave would likely provide a considerably different (better) 'feel' to the airframe, in the primary ACM envelope. Even if you haven't emulated the FBW flight controls and expanded envelope CG range that they enable. The F-15EX is a next-gen Eagle, it does not handle like the old Mudhen...
The Legion pod is included, but it's purely cosmetic. One of the limitations of FC3 I'm afraid. The upshot is that since my F-15EX mod is using the F-15C flight model, it handles more like the lighter F-15C than the Mudhen.
@@SpinosSimulations Thanks for the response Spino, I appreciate all the effort you put into this project. Lot of hard work there. If someone was able to get in touch with you on how the F-15EX really handles, would you have the ability to edit the EFM to a full PFM variant of the force model? The F-15EX is quite a bit heavier than the original fighter models, even without CFT mounted. But it's also a much stronger airframe with a couple more control effectors than the F-15C CAS can access and vastly quicker FLCS response scheduling and thus less pilot blending required. It really is closer to a Super Hornet in terms of heft but with much more power as a 60/0 airframe.
DUDE I CANT EVEN CODE A ARDUINO MICRO IM SO STUPID YET YOU DONE ALL THIS AND LIFE HAPPEND I KNOW IT GETS CRAZY YOU ASK IF YOU DESERVE A LIKE YESSSSS YOU DO THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK ITS AMAZING THANK YOU
I understand it's a source code issue with working with the E model but are source codes really that hard to figure out? I mean, they have to work with DCS's source code. (I'm not a programmer so go easy on me) I'm genuinely curious as to why it's so hard to mod the full fidelity module
It's a full-fidelity module, of course there will be more complexity involved than with an FC3 aircraft. It's also a full fidelity module that is incomplete and not being developed any further for the forseeable future. And to top it off, all full-fidelity modules with MFDs and digital systems have their weapons hard-coded in, so they are not automatically compatible with new ones. The only way to add something new is to replace an existing weapon. All of this breaks integrity check, which I don't like. It also requires people to own a $70 module, and one whose future is in question at that. For all those reasons, I will not make any mod that requires ownership of the F-15E module.

Gonna bite all my fingers, looking great ❤
Awesome. Anxious to try it. Thank you for all the effort you put into your mods.
Thank you spino. You are a true legend
Oh hell yeah!!! This looks amazing. Thank you for all your hard work.
YES! I've been looking forward to this! Thanks yall!
Is this a team or an individual? Just not sure how many people I"m wording my comment at/

HMD will not be included, and air-to-ground weapons will be limited to unguided bombs and rockets unfortunately. But it's still a missile truck!

Very cool! This looks like a lot of fun. Thanks. 😃

Awesome? Great mod!
This looks great!
Can't wait!
Also aim 174b is an sm6 missile adopted for aircraft
keep going

Awesome!
2:29 yea leave it in the mod! i like missiles that are like it, cracks me up! never know why
HMD when?
Will there be a texture change on the maws on either sides of the cockpit to match with the aircraft paint?
I will attempt to implement that.
Is it going to be a stand alone mod or will you have to have a base modal for it to work? Also, will it be able to do air to ground?
You will still need the F-15C or FC2024 for it to work, and its air to ground capabilities are still limited to unguided bombs.
Actually, the AIM-9 & AIM-7 programs were both originally Navy programs.
Yes they were, and I wouldn't be surprised if LREW gets cancelled and USAF ends up using AIM-174. That would seem like the smart move, but it hasn't happened yet.

I think it's JATM, not JTAM. I could be wrong though.
Correct, I have been mispronouncing it.

in multiplayer could people fly in the front AND backseat?
Negative. The back seat WSO is purely cosmetic. FC3 doesn't allow multicrew, and a standalone mod with multicrew would take years to develop.

F-15C is required, or FC2024

Only unguided bombs and rockets.
