    You can run ethanol blend gas in it if the fuel pump is newer and the carb has had a rebuild kit in maybe the last 20 years. The newer fuel system parts are designed for the ethanol blend.

      Except for the fluids, nothing on that truck is from the 21st century

    53-55 are the coveted ones. Virtually the same body style. 54 had a different grille. Some will say 53-56, but in 56 the cab became a little more square. I have a 54 that I'm slowly working on. Was my daily driver about 30 years ago. Long story short, sold it and bought it back 15 or 20 years later. Good luck and happy wrenching.

      '55 with a V8? This one originally came with the straight-six that was swapped out a few years ago for the 292.

      Mine had the 239 V8 originally and had a 292 transplant many years ago.
