The Fastest Cars Ever to Race at Le Mans
Переглядів 251Рік тому
In the late 1980s, Group-C endurance racing produced some of the fastest race cars ever built. A joint venture between the Swiss Sauber and German Mercedes teams achieved the fastest top speed in car to finish the race. #groupc #lemans #cars #mercedes #racinghistory Image Sources: Group A DTM BMW M3 By MPW57 - Own work, CC BY 3.0, commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=17600914 Group B Audio Q...

I had an '82 one of those in E. Wenatchee Wa. and rode it all around Badger Mtn. Good days.
It's honda 4 in row it will go
I have a cpl mid 80s bikes,they always start,but mine are Yamaha.😉
It's a Honda of course it's gonna start!!!
As an owner of one and a few more goodies . . I'LL be kind and not comment much more . Get educated then you won't embarrass yourself or the family .
buy a 81 rd125 twin it will start first kick every time if done correctly
Sir do still have it..and would u sell it
I have the exact same year. Any idea how to make the glove box close tight?
Give it the Fonz. Seriously, a solid smack keeps it in place on mine.
You can run ethanol blend gas in it if the fuel pump is newer and the carb has had a rebuild kit in maybe the last 20 years. The newer fuel system parts are designed for the ethanol blend.
Except for the fluids, nothing on that truck is from the 21st century
Do you have a choke
GN250, nice bike!
Are there any 3 cylinder bikes?
Yes! Yamaha and triumph both make a 3 cylinder bike. We just didn't have any in the shop that day
spining dorito = the wancle engine
I didn’t know they made a cool ranch motorcycle. I’d love to try one. Who made it?
Unlike the doritos taco, the re5 was such a flop that suzuki "allegedly" threw surplus bikes into the ocean.
Got a 40yr old HONDA.XR. 2nd kick. They just last.
If it needs carb clean to start then your carbs need some tuning.
Yeah, I think one of the idle jets is clogged. 4 into 4 exhaust makes diagnoses easier than others
Honda... what else did you expect ? 😉 I used to ride her great grand-daughter -'07 cb6-👍 (absolutely zero innuendo intended)
facts Honda. nuff said
Feel like my 650 would be a great uncle to moder cb. The hurricane would probably be a direct lineage
@@barry216 right on, brother ! 😉
@chipthehistorian the naked cb6, also called the Hornet, is a direct descendant of both the cbr and the original wild street Japanese cb 😉 leave it to Honda to make something as awesome as a hybrid that works so well !
Love watching! And love the motor, keep up the good work! :)
Thank you! Appreciate the support
This guy is a wizard
Yeah, I usually pick a fighter/warrior build. Magic users have never been my favorite to play as in a rpg.
It would be cool to get a still profile shot at some point and in the video. Cool bike!
Thanks! I tried a profile shot, but it just didn't turn out well.
I have a 99 C2 in that same color but with black interior. Very uncommon color. I've only seen one other on the road in person.
Shit exhaust. Get something that isn’t raspy. Review the lifted CRV next! He loves when I call it that. 🤣😂
That exhaust sounds like ur hairline bruv
That exhaust sounds like what ur hairlike looks like bruv
Promo-SM 🤘
My brother had a the same truck.
'55 with a V8? This one originally came with the straight-six that was swapped out a few years ago for the 292.
Mine had the 239 V8 originally and had a 292 transplant many years ago.
That's cool, I've never seen that
Between that and the smokers windows it's not too bad when moving.
53-55 are the coveted ones. Virtually the same body style. 54 had a different grille. Some will say 53-56, but in 56 the cab became a little more square. I have a 54 that I'm slowly working on. Was my daily driver about 30 years ago. Long story short, sold it and bought it back 15 or 20 years later. Good luck and happy wrenching.
Yup, oil bath, all the crap stayed in the oil
Love these curves !
Love it lol. New cars suck and are horrible. One truck could last you two life times, or we can just go buy a new one every 5 years...
The Sauber Merc C9 never been the fastest 24h LeMans car ! It depends what do you mean by the fastest by the way ? The fastest car in top speed was a Peugeot WM P88 which reach a 407 km/h top speed, at the 1988 24h race of LeMans. If you're talking of the fastest lap ever recorded, it's Kamui Kobayashi who's holding the fastest lap record on LeMans, with a Toyota TS050. With the highest average lap speed as well. Bonus : Peugeot build a road version of its fastest LeMans prototype, which was named Peugeot Oxia. They only produced 2 of them, and didn't pursue the idea to sale it to a limit production, available for the richest clients. It's really pity, since this road legal version, was way ahead of its time, and was before many prestigious sport cars, the fastest car in the world, with its detuned racing TTV6 engine. Add to it, 4WD and 4WS, Solar powered Aircon, and many other technologies, which was making this Peugeot a space ship in 1986. It's funny since Oxia is the name of a place based on planet Mars.
Highest top speed to finish the race in this context. Around 1:40 into the video, I talk about the rivalry between Peugeot and Sauber/Merc and the WM 88.
Sounds just like when it would rain in my 1969 F100
I miss my dads old 1972 f350 flatbed. Some guy wrecked it.
A humble bike as most early Honda's were back then. I remember these clearly in the dealers showroom, that chrome trip along the bottom of the tank was so classy back then.
Awesome Job!! Such a classic bike.
