- My Dad bought this 1955 Ford F100 that had not run for over 30 Years! He asked me to take a look at it and see if I could get it running. This truck had spent most of its life in Northern California until it was moved to Oregon where is was stored in a barn. The owner bought a nice classic car that needed to be parked inside. So the F100 was moved outside. As soon as the owner parked the pickup outside he offered it for sale. We picked it up on our car trailer and brought to my place to get it running.
I like that it seems so complete ,most of the old trucks on e bay and such are not even parts cars anymore.
Great video and education
Glad you enjoyed it
Thank you so much
Congratulations
thanks.
Just a odd one for your. before my did passed he was driving a 97 chevy. 4x4. and we pulled the f100 56. Exact silver and the ford is now creme. He restored it about 80%. Blue printed and balanced 302, im going to attemp the crown vic front end.
Great story! I hope to get his 55 going this summer.
Watching here mindoro occidental province Philippines...
Hope you enjoyed the video.
Freshen up the heads and run it. Mine was the same way, valves not sealing, sat for 30 years. Running now.
The heads on this need work. A couple of valves are leaking. However I did a leak down test and found it also past the rings on 3 cylinders. Time for a rebuild or replacement. I have found a good used engine for a reasonable price.
Wonderful Video. Thank you for sharing. Your father is a fine man. You are so lucky to have him he is a fine age. May God bless him and you also and your family. Best wishes from Ireland 🇮🇪 I would love to own that truck. Maybe you could tell me what it would take to own it.
Thank you so much! I may give it another attempt at getting it running.
Your a gentleman and it’s great to see your videos. Thank you and God bless you and your father.
ooh so nice
Do you still have this truck -- I have 55 and have been looking for the Chrome drip rail if its for sale?
Still have the truck but it is not for sale.
How much was paid for truck? Looking to see what's the price for one of these in this condition
Hard to find. $4,500
What engine will you use in the truck
Most likely a Y Block 312.
New engine? Just put a refresh on what you have.
Yes we could do that.
What is your PRICE, if you want to sell.
Not for sale at this time
Gave up way too early!
Maybe. I am going to give it another try. Better starter for more cranking speed and free up a couple stuck valves.
check values on it they are sticking
Thank you.
I have a 1954 would you be interested in selling parts i could use both doors
No parts
Why not buy new??? They're not prohibitively expensive.
Can I buy it
Not really for sale.
