Keith I really appreciate your quick responses. I have reached out to others and got nothing back from them. I can't wait to see the video as a matter of fact lol I am having a hard time moving on to try another design because it was my first selection and I'm like that when I am stuck on something I have to get it done to move on.

Hello Keith thank you so much for your response. Whereas, lol I have read it I am a visual learner when it comes to my crafts. I would love to see a video on this if that is possible. I don't understand the frame out either. As I previously mentioned I am just starting to get into the machine. I have watched the Ricoma How to Series, but it is not enough information as well as I have been searching out other instructional videos and haven't really come across many. Don't get me wrong I have learned from them but not enough to really get it and lol of all things the first project that I want to do have 15 colors with 1 of the colors used 3x's within the design. I know I can't be the only person that feels stumped with the machine and how to's. I am sure that others and I would greatly appreciate seeing a video.

I will definitely get a video up on this ASAP! I understand the visual learning aspect! I am very much the same way. Or a try fail and try again type also 😂😂 but visual is easier!
I’ll work on getting a video up to explain the whole process of setting up for more colors than your machine can handle! Thank you for the suggestion, as I’m sure plenty more people have this same question 🙏🏽

Awesome!! Sounds like you are making some great and unique products!
My favorite place is ssactivewear.com. You will have to create an account and provide a tax id number.
      I also use alldayshirts.com and jiffyshirts.com

I have a question have you done any design with more than 10 colors? I have the EM 1010. I do know how to embroider on my regular machine. However, this machine has me intimated and I have been watching videos and it's hard to find someone that will answer questions. I need someone that can show me how would they hand a design with more than 10 colors. I do hope that I am making my question clear. My goal is to master this machine this year.

Good morning and Happy Wednesday! I have done a few designs that have more than ten colors.
What you do is assign your extra colors past the tenth color to different spools. So let’s say my design has 11 colors total. I’ll have needles 1-10 threaded with the first 10 colors. And then I can “assign” needle number one as the needle I’ll change the thread color on when the time comes. Let’s say I’ve got red on needle number one and will need to change it to blue. While I am putting my color selections into the machines screen, I would use the number one for both the red color selections and the blue color selections as well. preferably you would want all of the red to be done running before you switch it to blue. Otherwise you will be switching back and forth throughout the design. Which isn’t time efficient.
Also, you can place a “frame out” selection on the color choice before the one that is changing from red to blue. This will stop the machine before the red runs, and allow you to change the thread on that needle to blue before starting again. That way you don’t have to baby sit the design waiting to change the color.
Hopefully this makes sense! I’ll have to try to make a video, this would be a good topic.
