It was a fun show overall and if you are a fan of the recent Sonic films, you should enjoy this too. I do agree that Sonic, Tails and Maddie should have been at the end of the show in the last episode. And yea, I think Wade had to much of a focus and I wish that Knuckles had more time on his own show. But at least he and his family were likeable enough. The main bad guy was lackluster, I agree with that. But overall, I liked it. Can't wait to see Sonic 3 in theaters. I hope that they have a continuity with the Knuckles show in the film.
I enjoy this E-rant or honest review of the knuckles tv series from the world of Sonic the hedgehog movies. What an amazing theme song as well. I can't wait for the next sonic movie coming out this year.
I really love how you just get the negative out the way. It is a nice way to show your audience that you enjoyed the show while still maintaining an objective point of view
Sonic, Tails and Maddie in episode 1 was probably most reminiscent of what we saw with the TNG-Enterprise era premieres. The McCoy, Picard, Quark (and Morn?) and Cochrane cameos in each series premiere. Frankly the fact that the series ended where it did without heading back to Green Hills probably happened so the trio wouldn’t have to be wrangled in again
I don’t know why they brought back The Ocho, buuuuut ESPN itself has changed a lot in 20 years, so not bringing back Cole and Bateman is a non-issue, especially using two still very prominent and well-known actor-comedians in Huebel and Scheer.
Cole and Bateman were great, but I think it might be a writing/rights issue. Like how they wanted to bring Lacarno (?) from the ST:TNG academy episode back for Star Trek Voyager, but they'd have to pay the writer who created him for every appearance, so they brought back the actor and changed the character to Tom Paris.
Very nice take on the show, sums up my thoughts quite well. A few things could have been done better, but it was still an enjoyable experience from start to end, and I wouldn't mind seeing a season 2 or a series on other characters moving forward between the movies.

No, I don't hate Wade's sister because "racist sexist man". I hated her because she was annoying, condescending, shows no respect to anyone of her family, oh and the little fact she stabbed her own brother unprovoked in his arm with a fork. That's not a "harmless prank", it was an assault if not an attempt at murder.
Didn't like this show, and I've loved the first two Sonic movies. This was definitely the Wade show and not about Knuckles, not even close; even his backstory was told only to boost Wade's character and not, ya know, KNUCKLES. It was annoying. There were fun delightful scenes but aside from the first episode, that was all there was: scenes or moments, not full episodes that were good. Disappointed with this show and I hope the third movie is great. At this point with video game adaptations and given how Sonic 2 worked amazingly, they should really stop doing adaptations like these where the video game stuff is just the backdrop for the generic human tale; it's like the show was made 10 years ago.
I think the problem with The Buyer is how the Sonic franchise lacks a secondary human antagonist. Besides Eggman, every other Sonic villain is either an animal, a giant blob of something, or owned by Ken Penders (who may or may not have been referenced as Knuckles’ dad in Episode 4). So they were pretty much forced to make a new human antagonist since the only other possible option (Agent Stone) might have been deemed off limits.
I stand my ground that Knuckles is an okay show. Knuckles gets lack of screen time and the villains are forgettable. But, the action is fun, the tone is on point, Knuckles himself is instantly fun to watch, and Wade is likable (although he has too much screen time). I much rather spend time with Wade rather than spend time with Chris Thorndike in Sonic X (he was so whiny, annoying, and mostly does nothing but get himself captured. Talk about a "dumbass in distress").
Yeah I liked the show too and I feel it does need another season. I also agree with u how uninspired and 1-dimensional The Buyer was. How I would have written him is that he was a rival scientist who was treated second Best to Robotnik and was pissed that Robotnik was chosen over him to find Sonic in the first movie. So he desires Knuckles' power so he could find and Destroy Robotnik so he could be the world's greatest genius. Also I think Knuckles and Wade straight up killed the guy as we don't see him escape from the wreckage or anything.
First time seeing this show, i was just having a blast and enjoying the dumb moments. Second time, the flaws were much more noticeable. Still a good show if you want dumb fun

ESPN 8 "The Ocho" is now aired annually on various ESPN channels with random obsure competitions

I’m going to guess that reunion scene will probably be saved for the 3rd Sonic movie.
