Welcome to Weiden in der Oberpfalz! Weiden Germany is a small city home to over 50,000 people. Stadt Weiden is right near the border of Czech Republic and about an hour drive from Nuremberg. Weiden in der Oberpfalz is the biggest city closest to the American Army Base- USAG Bavaria, which is why it has been our home for many years. This vlog highlights Stadt Weiden from the perspective of two Americans living in the city.

I was born in Weiden in 1947 in the Pressatherstrasse but moved to Holland in 1949 because of my Dutch father. We travel to Weiden a week almost every year and enjoy the Oberpfalz .I can understand the dialect rather good and stay in my mother-s village Kaimling in the Landgasthof Sonnenhang at the foot of the Leuchtenberg. Wunderschön!
