7:00 Exactly what I was thinking! Unfortunately, I suspect a lot will be the same people who have finished paying their mortgage, seen that scooters are ‘cool’ again and trying to solve their mid-life crisis by spending well over the odds on a fully restored scoot. Only now, they’ll be able to chuck in a stupidly fast engine as well. And we know how that turned out in the bike world a few years back with old bikers jumping on Fireblades etc PS Santa, if you are reading this, I have been a reeeally good boy this year!!!
Robcatist You do realise the comparison I am using is about somebody from the 60s/70s going from something like a li125 to this beast and a motorcyclist going from whatever was their most common ride to the Fireblade? I wasn’t literally comparing it to a Fireblade. Although... I wager if you give a biker a spin on this, they would still call us mad for going at those speeds on such little wheels! One of my mates did and that was just on my ‘standard’ TS1 lol
Good points Dave but that's why we have spent so much time on the suspension, brakes and handling as well as producing plug n' play top quality, powerful engine units. Yes, it's still a very fast scooter on small wheels BUT we are looking at the whole package. No-one wants to see people getting hurt : we want people to enjoy what we're developing, manufacturing and what they choose to spend their dollar on. Yes, you still have to be able / learn to ride well and if you treat this like you treat your P200 or TS1, you'll end up on your arse in no time at all. It's the whole package that counts. Most tuning houses just think of speed, BHP and acceleration, with little to no consideration given to safety, or comfort. Here you get tried and tested superbike quality brakes, suspension, reinforced hubs and superlight clutch action, all aimed at making the scooter as pleasurable as possible to use in traffic, on the motorway or up hill, down dale.
Dave D Yeah I see the point you were making now, this beast is a world away from the lambys of the 60’s and 70’s. I’m sure the one in the vid is as safe as it can be but a ton on 10” wheels takes some balls, mines got 34 bhp+ = 85 mph+ and that’s bad enough.
Casa Performance Absolutely. Totally in awe of the stuff you guys are turning out at the mo and was in no way dissing your work. I was just having a grumpy ‘all the gear, no idea’ moment! (And if someone was to accuse me of just being jealous? Yeah, they’d prob be right! lol)
Sound’s incredibly well set up and you had the balls to put it through its paces, what it top out at?.......btw how many times did you fill it up on this vid I’ve got a tuned RB in mine and it’s absolutely horrendous on petrol.
Robcatist this was geared for about 100mph. I didn’t need to fill it up for this but have a look in ScooterLab and search for Casa SSR/Casa SST road tests.
Roger Ramjet riding a fast scooter on 10” wheels is more entertaining than any superbike, I promise you. Although building one like this costs as much as a new RSV-4.
ScooterLab.UK I see a lot of blown top ends I where I live - setting up is key and I’m sure there’s a lot of ‘plug and play’ folks who just throw a cylinder head on and don’t appreciate the total rebuild required. That Lambretta is impressive though . Also seeing more twist and go scooters - appreciate why but characterless - my Tuono is Gen 1 - very primitive versus an RSV4 but makes me smile every time!
ScooterLab.UK -Great to see the bike Handling then bad roads I'm going to feel safe now knowing my Lammy, with the Casa components going to hold up well through bad terrains
My old tuned 240cc from 1987 was clocked at tickling over 100mph, but it had standard suspension and drums front and back. Old scool with Fresco pipe and a 34mm Amal. Glad to see this SSR has the suspension and the brakes to cope with the speed. What sort of cost to take a standard GP200 and give it the full CASA SSR works?
@@ScooterLabUK There is one thing that will make a better rider, and that is learning how to control a bike like that on roads of that caliber, if you can handle a scooter designed to go 50 MPH you will be able to ride almost anything safely. I will build something similar one day then I will know for myself just what a wolf in sheeps clothing feels like, love that colour BTW.
Wow !!!
Goes like a rocket ...
What a crazy scooter!
Great review guys ..

Awesome ride you got some balls😮
That takes some balls to ride a scooter at 110mph. I shit bricks doing that speed in a Harley!!
I'm an Aprilia Tuono rider but that does look fun!!

Noi italiani viviamo d'amore, arte, cibo e benzina nelle vene.
Wow. On 10" wheels on those surfaces? Might be quick, but..
Ian Hutchings The roads certainly ain’t good.
@@ScooterLabUK thanks for the reply. I hope you enjoyed what looked like an impressive ride. I'm not jealous. Honestly. 😉
Ian Hutchings Riding fast beautiful Lambrettas in Italy? Not at all enjoyable...
2 royal alloy 300tg for the price of this engine and enough change for a holiday 🤔🤔🤔......... but it does look fun
This could get me off bikes and back on a scooter. My old tuned TS1 was not enough for me.
Have you seen their latest engine? 75bhp twin.
@@ScooterLabUK ….I will check it out. Thanks
Those roads were bloody awful 😖
You're not kidding...
I thought our streets here in South Central Los Angeles was bad

Who tuned that one then..lol
Bullshit 100 mph in 1987 like ya man said who tuned that then ???
You need to buy the casings as the crank is bigger. It's about £8000 all in.
Fantastic sum Lambretta sum rider takes balls The roads r terrible
Riding it well and balls out on those Shit roads 🤣👌🔥
The Italians must of had Bassetlaw Council in to do the roads
It's even worse than Bassetlaw over there.
This bike looks like fun,how much for it
Robbo the engine is about £8,000.
Oh really wow that’s some piece of kit,can you please tell me what I could look at some bikes like that if I wanted to get one.
Robbo Gsy if you go do a Google search for SLUK Casa SSR you’ll find out all about them.
We are the Mods
Oh man.. I won't one....
Bostin...
you guys are surely cuckoo in the head ! I love it ... 5 people dislike this video ?? what has the world become?
They're obviously not mad enough Alinel :)
Very good
Fantastic my TS1 IS FAST BUT F ME THAT IS CRAZY 😜
Why you dont set gps odometer
The roads look pretty bad, you are going to need decent suspension and brakes to ride at the higher speeds and stay put.
That road was awful to be honest and you wouldn’t want to ride a quick scooter without decent brakes and suspension.

@@ScooterLabUK Has anyone come up with a fuel injection system for scooters to date?
what's that continuous white line in the middle of the road whenever you are passing any other vehicle?
Can someone tell me what the top speed is of theses engine then depending on size of rider of course ??
100mph +
