Hi Rob. You mention the choice of fork link in the video, but if both these disc brakes are anti-dive, then fork-link will not be involved with stopping the ‘static’ half of the brake from rotating. The lug will need to be cut from the drum hub link, to allow the anti-dive to function, but I guess you will be illustrating this in your ‘how-to-fit’ video.
Martin, There is a lug hole in the casa so you can use it without the anti-dive function. Therefor casa have chosen to go with drum links. Lug needs to be removed however for the anti-dive to work. You could fit the casa with disk links but it will catch the speedo drive area because of the shape of the link itself. The bgm has more room , hence the possibility to use both types of links. If that makes sence?

I want to upgrade my drum brake but would like to keep more standard looks.
AF are developing an inboard disc brake that looks like something Innocenti would have made. It's been delayed but maybe they could send you one to test when it's ready
I've seen photos of that and it looks good!
Unsprung weight of the casa calliper would have a big advantage over the bgm version 😉

in this day and age every scooter parts should be plug and play . Rob i noticed on a old scooter it has a front disc brake do they work well? the disc what was on the scooter when it was built at the factory years ago.
original type disk brakes work ok. Fine for stopping a standard 175-22cc scooter (as are drums)

Is the "For race use only" writing on the Casa disc just for decoration?
No. It is not EU approved for road use. I actually don't think any aftermarket Lambretta disk brakes actually are. 🤷♂️
@@kickbackgarage you just know some eagle eyed policeman would notice that, it might need some touch up paint.
