    I quit holding myself back from expressing my thought and feelings. I quit worrying how to control people's opinions of me in reality I can never stop that. I quite focusing on my flaws and being blind to my achievements. I quite telling myself a negative story about my life. And I quite being perfect not real. I am real and perfection is a facade.

    Fantastic as always Dr Aziz. Great, over accommodating others is not giving yourself enough value.

    That puts it right back on the sender without being insensitive or unkind. You're just holding the mirror up to them and showing them their out of control emotions. It's also a message to them that they don't have the power to change your state of mind. You remain calm and in full control. Thanks! Great advice!

    My default is either brush it off - Think it through - and/or directly defend myself.
    Am very protectively assertive, considerably depending on the person; but I Really like the statement of, Other people's feelings are not ours to fix. I think I could benefit from these talks lol. Thank you for your time & effort upon these videos. Might check out the book.

    This is a very interesting practice, will be looking forward to talking to myself in my car :). Dr. Aziz I have an important question, I've only recently broken free of my social anxiety although not completely, progress is quite immense but I have one thought holding me back. I always tend to ponder about getting back into online gaming which is what contributed towards making my case worse and helped keep me isolated as well as many detrimental effects. I'm hoping you can share your insight on how one can break free of these seemingly innocent nostalgic thoughts, which may result in a relapse in much of my progress.

    Could you cover how to deal with confrontation? I have problems looking at people in the eyes when im walking around and they look at me back. I feel this is due to my confrontation issues. This doesnt happen when I have to speak to them 1x1.

    Hi Dr Aziz I get very anxious before I go to work so much so that I've been getting a pain near my heart should I go and see my doctor?

    • @GetMoreConfidence
      @GetMoreConfidence  5 років тому

      I'd always have any pain or symptoms like that checked out by your doctor immediately. If that rules out any physical causes, the social anxiety may be at the root of your pain, and perhaps other symptoms.

    Hey Dr. Aziz, I think I’m running into a problem with being overly nice, because I work at a bank as a teller and customer services is very important and we’re required and kind of forced to be nice and worry about everyone’s feelings. But I don’t want to be like that outside of work and I’m starting to notice that this carries outside of work. So how can I deal with this?

    • @GetMoreConfidence
      @GetMoreConfidence  5 років тому

      Check out the other videos here on my channel regarding being too nice. Here's on of my recent videos expanding on being less nice (more selfish): ua-cam.com/video/4rPCuz2p4RQ/v-deo.html And, this topic is so important, I wrote an entire book dedicated to it! See it here: www.NotNiceBook.com

      Awesome resources, I’ll read your not nice book after I’m done with the art of extraordinary confidence! I think my main struggles currently are self-esteem, eye contact and being too nice. You definitely got that right formula for me here, I really appreciate all this Dr. Aziz it’s already changing my life! But I still have a lot of work to do I’ll keep grinding
