I was afraid of putting myself out there until early 2018. I was at a point where I had nothing to lose, and therefore didn't care what people thought of me. I started doing videos and posting them to social media. Even though they were really bad when I first started nothing bad happened to me. This taught me that there wasn't anything to fear and now that I am in a better place, I still am able to post content because I learned that there isn't anything to fear.

This was great, thanks, been searching for "how to handle social anxiety" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Qanwen Donuke Approach - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some great things about it and my neighbour got great results with it.

This has been so helpful! I get really awkward in life when I'm suddenly thrown in the light. It's not that I don't have anything to say but it happens so suddenly that I get into panic mode. I particularly liked the part of visioning what would Badass Ria do? Would she be this bold about her opinion and not shrink away just to keep from upsetting people? The answer is YES! It's so simple to put a third person narrative - it makes me feel less pressure because well, I'm not hurting people, Badass Ria is just doing what she wants, she deserves that! (Of course not hurting people while I do this haha) Thank you so much for this video ❤

    Great advice as always.
Although lately it feels like my courage is going down a lot. Probably my lack of leaving the house is to blame...

Indeed, I am very shy but ever since I discovered you Dr. Aziz through your UA-cam channel I have improved tremendously. Before I don't have the courage to even talked to people nor entering stores and offices now I can do it with confidence. I started February of this year and I consciously forced myself to go out daily. Thank you so much.

Good video! Positive visualization is really powerful, but we must put our contemplations into constant practice. There is a moment where we can test the boundaries or keep to ourselves. This time during social isolation is tough because we are all separated by a physical boundary. One thing that I struggle with is reaching out to people over social media, text or call. Time to start visualizing exciting and meaningful conversations over the phone!

Dont know if anyones realised this yet but I recently watched fightclub and it reminds me of what Tyler durden would do instead of the narrator while ofcourse not being too extra but sends off sort of the same message to me in a good way.
    Thanks even years later.

Your videos are super awesome man. The way you present the information is very comical and easily receptive and you also explain things really well. Your real life scenarios are realistic. A lot of youtubers give the most cliché, repetitive, vague advice on topics like this but your style is very precise and easy to understand. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom

Omg flip the frame! Off course!
I have a relative who sees people as centre of attention/ attention seekers when they get themselves out there. So I always stop myself from getting out there! I haven't promoted my published book, coaching services etc because of fear of being seen as an attention seeker!
But yes off course it's a total game changer to flip the frame! She doesn't like people receiving positive attention and I think that's weird and silly! Flipping the frame! Feels SO much better.
Thank you! I love your videos! 🙏

You should have a telegram channel or something where you put these types of challenges weekly/monthly and people could report back how they're doing. More people would actually take action when they have a group of like minded people doing it with them. I think it would only do good for your business as well, there's some online self improvement related communities i'm involved in, where there's tons of people who would love this concept!
There's so much theory related content related to self- improvement which causes some people to become addicted to self- help content but never take actual action. This could be an antidote to that! :)

Hi Aziz, I wanted to ask if you would make a video sometime on standing up for yourself while keeping rapport. I find that the more I read 'Not Nice' the more powerful I feel, but I still shy away from speaking up for myself or if I do I notice that I say it with a somewhat of a smile and lower tone of voice than I would normally speak in, like not stern. What is your take on this?
