Really amps up the panic when you're trying to reload because a monster is approaching, and then you realize that the parasite is literally centimeters from your brain Also I can't help but laugh at the dying guard asking the guy with only one arm left to help him lmao
I have a theory. The parasites didn't choose Luce because she was "good" or even "moral". They chose her because she was the only one dumb enough in that space station to let them out and if they did make her a God she wouldn't be smart enough to take advantage of the parasites but instead let the parasite take advantage of her. Which is better logic since how can someone be this high-horsey calling Cynthe "evil" when she let out parasites on fellow humans killing them with no remorse and then acting like she's better than all of them. She is not a God she is a tool the parasites chose because of how conveniently stupid she is. and now she's going to Earth and infecting everyone with the parasites like they intended.
Plus, while Cyinth wanted to be their god, he actually wanted to be treated like a god. He knows that the parasites will attempt to manipulate him which is why he's able to act quickly when a parasite is attempting to control him. Basically, he wanted to control _them_ rather than let the parasite control him.

I like how Cynte was voiced by Gianni Matragrano, he's one of my favorite voice actors after his performance in ultrakill and how he interacts with his community.
While watching my friend play the game, as soon as I heard Cynte speak my immediate thought was "wait was that Gianni?". Having heard Gianni's voice acting very often kinda makes it very easy to recognize when he's voicing a character.
it’s great that the guy who voices for some of the best indie games in the industry is also willing to be hired for some youtuber’s skit from time to time
Dude in most horror movies; the protagonist has a gun, car, entire police department (no offense) and yet unable to kill one killer. In this game you're missing 3 limbs, have a parasite borrowing in your brain, surrounded by monsters and coughing up blood, yet you're still a one man army. Man that's definitely hardcore.
Well the whole point of this game when it was just released was to make you have a weak combat, but i don’t know if a man with one arm and no other limbs dragging its body with guns in his back just as fast as a rat looks like ‘weak combat’
That's an issue with these two types of media: 1) Horror movies happen, because people do the dumb things, and everyone is blind as a bat in a disco. 2) In games, even if you are the most important person alive, you are the only one who do all the stuff - from saving the world to bringing the husband his forgotten lunch. I'm the Chosen one, the Dragonborn, and you want me to find you 5 mushrooms? For 200 gold? OK. 😂
Story wise I love the fact that the only good person in all this is Praví. He created the vaccine keeping our protagonist alive, was against the inethical experiments, and sadly died too soon to have a god complex. Whereas both Luce and Cynte have a god complex of 2 sides, 1 being of care/nurture and the other of science/progress. An argument could be made that both are evil in their own right.
People told manly all his life that playing hentai dating games was a waste of time - but at the end of the day he could do everything one handed, quickly, with an unusually buff arm.
Cynth doesn't need a parasite to become a god, he blitzes straight through hordes of abominations, speed loading rounds into the chamber in the middle of a gun fight with (presumably) his teeth, and STILL has the energy to monologue to himself when reading the lore. He is quite literally Doom guy levels of badass(manlyhero), he is the Badass manly Anti-hero. We love him
I like how passive everyone is about literally one of the most brutal possible things happening to this person. To literally crawl, like a worm, in agony, with your only remaining appendage, to maybe get a shot at stopping a parasite from turning you into a gimpy mutant. Operating everything with a single hand is a new skill you have to master pronto, and even if you survive, your life as it was is irrevocably altered, with a dozen new daily challenges. You'd basically have to relearn to do everything, from dressing yourself to brushing your teeth to cleaning your ass. If you don't believe me, put your arm behind your back and try any one of those things; see how far you get before you say "Fuck this!" and give up. Now imagine you can't say "Fuck this!" and go back to using both hands again. And you can't walk. And the nature of your amputations makes prostheses uncomfortable, cumbersome, and minimally useful, if they can be grafted to stumps that's suffered uneven laceration and at least 2nd degree burns at all. The biggest challenge would actually be making sure the wounds can heal before an infection settles in, and they've almost certainly picked up whole colonies of new, nasty microbial hitchhikers after literally dragging their open wounds across a dirty floor for several hours. Also, that's a lifetime of psychological trauma. You'll basically be dealing with the kind of PTSD soldiers deal with; you'll get anxious, you'll get frustrated, then you'll either explode into violence or fall to the ground in a hysterical fugue. Fascinating for a game, but what a gruesome concept to consider living through! I love it!
Some part of me wonders if the main character would now consider his life a giant science experiement. "Test 25: I have attempted to get around using these attachments. However, I still find more mobility using my one arm and stomach. Testing failure. Adjustments in progress."
While what you said is true, the protagonist would probably try to build himself new limbs when he's not in imminent danger. He is a scientist, after all, and this is quite an opportunity for a science experiment.

@@letsreadtextbook1687 Yeah, you'd think that it would be him, since he even suggested a mass outbreak before, but nope. Cynte didn’t directly kill anyone, but he didn’t care that they were killed, nor did he try to save anyone (like Praví), but I see your point. Luce’s preaching was very hypocritical
@@cameronschyuder9034 Cynte absolutely killed a bunch of people. In his research notes, he basically explains how he fed the Philantropist's whole family to the meatgrinder that was the parasite research. Probably to see if it was genetic or not.
If the people at this research black site were of similar mindset to Cynte I can totally see how someone could have the mindset of "fuck this place and everyone else that works here." Yeah, Cynte didn't do the mass exposure thing. But keep in mind it wasn't out of the goodness of his heart. The computer log mentioned how it would ruin a colony. He wasn't suggesting infecting people at the lab, he was suggesting releasing it in a major population center, turning an entire colony of innocents into parasite food simply because he couldn't think of any better way to find someone compatible with the parasite. That sort of thing would not be able to be done without approval from up above; Cynte didn't not do it because of any moral or ethical fortitude, a stringent belief in following orders from above. He didn't do it because he'd be physically unable to, and even if he could it'd be obvious he did it. I'm not saying Luce is pure and did nothing wrong, but it's weird seeing so many people in the comments saying she's *worse* than Cynte without even thinking of what the other people working at a place like this must be like and whether they're really just innocents who did nothing wrong. tl;dr- Don't treat your unpaid intern like shit or they might do bad things to you when she becomes a god.
Which would scare Manly more? A ferocious teleporting assassin who slices through everything with his massive claws after teleporting behind them? Or one lil' squeaky boi?
Honestly given that our one armed villian handles all this with one arm in constant pain and limited lifespan. I'm scared to see what they would have been like if they didn't lose their limbs, just Gordon Freeman'ing the entire research facility without the haz suit
the scariest part of this was watching manly load the revolver backwards and having to carry the knowledge that manly doesnt know his next shot is blank
The creator actually made this by himself. everything from gameplay, mechanics, and even gun sound. he put his heart and soul to it and it's entertaining.
I've been thinking about how it's possible for a guy with one arm to be able to crawl and reload weapons. The game is taking place on a research base on an asteroid. Cynte is likely wearing a hazmat suit and the floors would probably a smooth material like vinyl. If you take into account the lower gravity of being on an asteroid as opposed to earth, the fast crawling might not be so unrealistic. Reloading the revolver isn't as unrealistic as people would think. If Cynte kept the bullets in mouth, all he'd have to do is drop the spent rounds while keeping his thumb on the unspent rounds and spit the bullets into the cylinder. Just tried it myself and I can fit 12 .38 rounds into my cheeks while still being able to get the bullets out the right way. It takes me around 6-8 seconds to do it this way. I don't have a double barrel shotgun, but I'd imagine you could store 4 bullets in your cheeks and reload the same way.
I like the commitment to realism of having the protagonist cauterize the wounds resulting from the loss of 50% of his body with a hot iron, we wouldn't like the suspension of disbelief to be compromised
I hope you're being sarcastic because you wouldn't have time to cauterize anything before you'd bleed out. Your blood pressure would decrease so rapidly that you'd be unconscious before hitting the floor.
Great video Manly, never know what to expect but I always love what you produce. *Major Spoilers* It's ironic that the secretary thinks the parasite picked her for her morality, and not the main character, yet the secretary was the one to release the parasite and potentially doom humanity. I think the parasite picked her because she's easy to manipulate. She started to do the parasite's bidding presumably before even being infected, but the main character clearly shows an indomitable will, so he probably wouldn't be so easily swayed to do what the parasite wants.
That what I thought too. I mean, why would an alien parasite have any concept of morality? But good survival instincts for choosing an obedient host would definitely make sense

I can just imagine the sequel being the story of this one armed guy seeking revenge against a PARASITE GODDESS. Basically, like Doom Guy, but if he had to reload
I've heard of this game before and was waiting for you to play it. So basically Luce is bad but empathetic and Cynte is insensitive but thoughtful... the only normal person here not searching for fame or money was Praví XD
Luce killed dozens of people by releasing the parasite and it going to kill many more by doing the same on earth, so she's just an idiot, not empathetic
MC: What is Luce doing out here so late? Me: $20 says that she was the reason the parasite outbreak happened. [Spoilers Ahead] Edit: Holy shit I didn’t expect to be right.
I get the feeling the parasites have long range psychic powers to some degree - it would explain why cynte and luce have basically no self awareness (all of their accusations to each other apply to both of them), why they sign off informally by praising their personal gods, and how Luce suddenly had visions of being chosen despite having no contact with them. It seems almost too perfect that everyone goes insane at the same time to be a coincidence. And it’s also why cynte’s dialogue is consistently unhinged and focused on his and Luce’s relation to the parasites rather than his immediate concerns.

Reloading the revolver isn't as unrealistic as people would think. I really appreciate you doing games in one video, it's much more satisfying being able to see it all the way through without wondering about when the next episode is going to come out. Obviously it can't be done for games that would take days to complete, but this length is great! Wouldn't even say no to a 9-hour video if the game required it!
I love how Manly can deal just fine monsters and horror abominations, but with the rats he goes straight to "nononono"
Because they're the rats, they prey at night they stalk at night, they're the rats.
the hell? No there fast, small.
39:42 Manly outrunning a rat without three limbs made me lost it
I can just imagine the sequel being the story of this one armed guy seeking revenge against a PARASITE GODDESS. Basically, like Doom Guy, but if he had to reload
he would need his other limbs back to do that.
Doom 3 guy
I've heard of this game before and was waiting for you to play it.
So basically Luce is bad but empathetic and Cynte is insensitive but thoughtful... the only normal person here not searching for fame or money was Praví XD
But he’s dead so that sucks
@@somedudefromapharmacy yep, only the strong willed (or the crazy people) can survive...
@@somedudefromapharmacy I'm pretty sure Luce and Pravi are women and cynte in the only man
Luce killed dozens of people by releasing the parasite and it going to kill many more by doing the same on earth, so she's just an idiot, not empathetic
@@VineFynn empathetic for the monsters, not the humans of course
This man is a legend he doesn’t miss ONE piece of lore or resources
Can we get much higher
He never misses, the absolute legend!
"ah yes i now have enough ammo to kill exactly 3 zombies and 2 rats" is a sentence i wouldn't normally think about, and yet here we are
1:24:23 That scared me but the way it just ran around afterwards and smacked manly in the back of his head like that was hilarious 💀
“Oh ho ho- Oh God!”
i like ya cut g
Nice to see the protagonist willingly giving the monsters a headstart for once! What a nice lad, he’s certainly quite the team player!
then he casually demolishes the whole team in the 1v250 gamemode
lmfao underrated comment sir
MC: What is Luce doing out here so late?
Me: $20 says that she was the reason the parasite outbreak happened.
[Spoilers Ahead]
Edit: Holy shit I didn’t expect to be right.
The protagonist is definitely a pretty terrible person, but I can't help but still root for him to make it until the end because of the sheer willpower and stamina he has to survive his situation.
This was a very fascinating play through, thank you Manly!! :D
He’s not an awful person for wanting to survive. That kind of environment brings out a humans true self
@@moka_dotz3149To be fair he is awful before the whole parasite shenanigans. But at least he is not the type who would kill everyone for science. I think
thanks for playing through Endoparasitic! it's such a polished horror game - the art style, vaccination, and gunplay mechanics add so much to the suspense
1:06:57 was stellar rat extermination omg 😭😂 wish I had the nerve to play horror games without my hands outright trembling in anxiety

Idk about you but its first time for me seeing this kind of reload system. Its pretty cool ngl
Also him: *thinks the revolver rotates the wrong way*
@@JoanLamrack Only other times I've seen this have been in the Receiver games
@@frankfletcher_1 To be entirely fair to Manly, Colt revolvers spin clockwise while S&W revolvers spin counter-clockwise! This game doesn't really indicate which way it does so it's up to the player to figure it out.
He was surprised that it actually functioned like a revolver, since most games don't do that. Don't take it out of context lmfao.
I really hope this game blows up. It’s got some amazing atmosphere and mechanics. And overall it just looks so aesthetic and with such a creative concept?? It reminds me of iron lung tbh. Not with the gameplay or the game but just with how they both designed a creative gameplay and atmosphere with a cool concept.
This game is a mechanical masterpiece. So unique and rewarding. This just goes to show that budget isn’t everything when it comes to creative endeavors. Some indie games can blow triple A titles out of the water!
If this man can crawl faster than light, how fast was he when he still had his legs?

Just as when you become blind, your hearing becomes better

Not to be that guy, but if you had one arm to spare and had to remove spent casings from the revolver… you’d have to use your teeth and even tongue or lips possibly. Those hot casings. The grit this character displays though managing with one arm, I have no doubt survival drive would overcome the pain. Dude plans to make it out. I like it. Not totally realistic, but given the chances and circumstance, it’s possible. What a tier one lad.
It might have an ejector, but the crossbow is the real star of the show here. He is so angry that he is winding a several hundred pound draw crossbow WITH ONE HAND, without it being steady!
