I had a customer who's passengers seat was stuck in the fully reclined position. It wound up being the switch bypass located on the outside underneath the switch panel were the seat pivots. It has 2 torque screws with 3 wires. Pulled it out and flipped the switch that was stuck. I hope this helps someone. Thanks for the video.
How did you take off the black holders that hold the wire on the frame, did you use a special tool? Because I tried needle nose pliers and regular pliers and it was a no go
Hey great video. I could use some help since when taking the cables off I accidentally broke one and the head broke as well, I was wondering if you knew where could I buy another set or maybe just one of the heads. ( Is the big yellow square)
@@559powerscape so I lost my phone and it was GPS tracking in my car but I couldn't find it anywhere. Is there anywhere in the seat itself it could get stuck? I ended up buying a new one but my videos and pictures were lost
You can disconnect the negative cable, but Ihave Remove a bunch of seats from cars and never had an issue. But just for mind at ease, disconnect the negative cable.
It’s not exactly for Hyundai Sonata, it’s for 2013 Hyundai Elantra and I cant really find any videos for it. Im assuming they have the same wiring under

I don't know try disconnecting the negative terminal for a good minute and try again. Sounds like the seat has a sensor to detect weight my civic has this. It's to determine if the air bag deploys or not, in case small children are up front.
I hope this guy disconnected the battery before disconnecting. The 3 wires under the driver's seat didn't show that. If you don't do that, disconnect the battery. Before for taking the? 3 wires underneath the driver's seat. You're gonna have a airbag light on your gauge and I don't know how much that is. If I remember, I think someone told me it's about 3 or $500 just to get it taken off. Let's know how to do it. Have your own OBD reader. A good. One.
@socalevo53 I didn't as long as you don't turn the key to the on position you should be good. But you can always disconnect the negative cable for extra measure
I’ve been needing to clean under my seats because for the love of GOD Hyundai cars are impossible to clean once stuff gets down in between the seats. And I didn’t want to deal with the electronic shit lol thanks man

You can disconnect the negative terminal but I've remove thousands of seats and never had a disconnect anything just disconnect the pigtails from underneath the seat. To be on the safe safe go ahead disconnect the negative terminal but I did it to the exact same car and didn't have to.
Thanks man! Lost a half tab of acid down there! wish me luck!
LMFAO good luck buddy!
Lmfao omg Yur legendary
me rn. dropped a whole ass cart down there
🤣🤣🤣
Good video - looked it up because I want to replace my driver seat due to cloth surface showing age signs (just 50-60$ at a junkyard).
Thank you for your support, I'm Glad this helped!
Love the video wish you had more content on different things... love the leaky beat too 🎵🎶 I watched it over just because of the background music

Hi. Do you know if the clothes one has same connectors as the limited leather ones? For both front seats
I honestly dont know, every trim model comes differently for more features
Does unhooking the wire to the air bags cause any malfunctioning? As far as the air bag warning lights etc?
yes it does but as long as you dont turn on the car your good. Connect it back then turn on the car
Oops! Didn't see the question was asked and answered! Thanks!

I used these to get it off..

I got a 15 accent, what about the air bag? Will it blow up?
No bro you got nothing to worry about

@@Jadeemo2619 Yeah same thing.
Yes you most certainly need to disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent malfunction when putting wire connectors back in place.

Mr. Lopez did you disconnect your battery before disconnecting the wires under the seat and did you wait before disconnecting the seat wires?
You can disconnect the negative cable, but I have Remove a bunch of seats from cars and never had an issue. But just for mind at ease, disconnect the negative cable.
Hey I removed the front seats and now every time someone sits in the passenger seat the airbag light kicks on in the dashboard

Yup just take off the screws and pick up the seat to clean underneath it

Can you install a power seat to that car?
Not sure. You would need a whole wire harness for the electrical on the seat.
The hardest part is disconnecting the electrical and you didn't show how to do that. Thanks a lot for nothing.
