      @@annep.1905 hi, we get a good mix of temperate weather here. Sun and rain in equal measure. As a result, yes, the Uk is quite fertile and we grow a huge variety of crops. Grapes for wine in Kent, hops for beer in Suffolk, veg of all kinds up through Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Wheat, barley and even strawberries in Scotland. Raspberries and blackberries grow everywhere here. I grew up in Manchester where the climate is somewhat damper than elsewhere, hence Manchesters place in the industrial revolution, especially cotton goods.
      I live almost in the geographical centre of England now and last night it was coming down stair rods with thunder and lightning. Today has touched 26C and been gloriously sunny although it's clouding over now it's early evening.

      Two tips:
      1. make sure to use the correct size tool (esp if it's torx)
      2. mind your back, some seats are heavy 💪

      @@CycloneCyd hi Cyd, reporting in with an update!
      I wish I had seen your reply earlier, because these exact two things had me doing 'dracarys' on the seat!
      A) no matter the effort, I could not make the correct hex turn the bolts with a ratchet wrench thingy. So I resorted to a more barbaric manner, which resulted in so many finger smashes and one impaling myself on some wire prongs, ass first. The positions I had to assume in order to get the six bolts out was downright obscene. My back was toast by the end of it all.
      But I did it! Yay me! Some vodka and tylenol fixed me right up aftewards! Thank you again! I subscribed, so expect to hear more annoying comments from me! 😁

That is what I was advised to do. Thanks for the demo. Thank you!! Get this: I’m having to part with a car I’ve had in my life since I was 12. It was my grandparents’ car. I inherited it when I was 24. I’m 42 now. She has a name: the Mable Mobile (Mable was my grandmas name). I have been all over the US with her. I moved from Pittsburgh to San Francisco with her. I’ve got no family here and am estranged from the rest of my family in Pittsburgh (major political differences). When I’m in my car, I talk and sing to my grandparents. They are with me when I’m driving her.
    Its time to let go…she has fallen apart despite my best efforts.
    I’m going to take out the front seats before she goes to “heaven. “
    I’ll use them as seats in my house.

I was wondering if I could pull Nissan Murano seats from a salvage yard for the van? They both have airbag tags on the seats. The question I have is will the air bag wiring harness in the Ford Transit fit any seat or only aftermarket seats?
    I did look into reupholstering the seats but he says he can not change the contour, only the covering. He suggested replacing them and provided a contact for a metal fabricator to help out.

    • @CycloneCyd
      @CycloneCyd  2 роки тому +2

      NO, the airbags will not 'go off' (deploy) when you start the car. You will, however, get the SRS light indicating a fault (the seat airbag is missing!) and in the event of an accident there will be no bag deployment as a result.
      You could 'fool' the system into believing the airbag is there by putting a 2.3ohm resistor across the connector terminals.

    How to remove them please?

    • @CycloneCyd
      @CycloneCyd  6 років тому +2

      Ouch! That's awkward.
      On some cars the seat runners are bolted to the seat frame (others are welded). Have a look under the seats (or look at the one you can get out outside the car!) to see if yours are bolted. If they are that may allow you to unbolt the seats and leave the runners behind. It might take two of you to put it back though.
      If you still need to get the runners out - remove seat as above (if you can) and then go for drilling off the bolt heads. Use a drill 1-2mm larger than the head, go gently and use plenty of coolant (any thin oil will do). Once the heads are off use something like an Easy Out kit to remove the shank. If you damage the threads in the body be sure to make a quality thread repair with an insert (ua-cam.com/video/DVrmTCGqYNg/v-deo.html).

    This was a great video for a non-mechanic guy like me. I bought both of my kids aftermarket seat warmers which I intend to install myself. Do you have any hints on removing the seat cloth from the chair to be able to place the heating mats? I will also have to connect to an appropriate fuse for power. Any info would be appreciated!

      @@jimdescher6964 There's a plethora of switches available on your favourite website, but I'd suggest something with an indicator light. Also make sure to use cable that can handle at least 10A. If the mats don't come with double sided tape, get some of this amzn.to/2Sa7AKY and stick the pads down to the foam with 2 or 3 strips at each end away from the wires if you can.

    I've got a 2003 Saab 93 SE convertible with the driver's seat tilted forward and it will not return to the upright position.
    Any suggestions as to how I get to release it? It feels like the release mechanism is frozen. Either that or the cable has disconnected from the end away from the handle/lever that you lift to release and move the seat back to upright.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    • @CycloneCyd

      If your original seats are heated and you replace them with heated seats, then the heating ought to work okay as the wiring pin outs will be common.
      does that answer your question okay?

    How do I remove front passenger seat from a Subaru legacy wagon. I don't care about air bags. Someone told me driver and passenger air bags are connected. If you remove or unplug passenger then drivers go too. Please help. Asap. Thank you in America

    • @CycloneCyd
      @CycloneCyd  4 роки тому

      I don't know about the fixings specifically, but it's bound to be similar to the cars shown.
      "driver and passenger air bags are connected" - what a load of tosh 👎👎 all devices in an SRS system are independent. If it's an old Legacy, disconnect battery negative for good measure, though I doubt it's truly necessary. If you're going to be driving without a seat fitted for a while, then put a 2ohm resistor across the seat airbag connector otherwise you'll have no SRS system. When you put it back together make sure all connections are clean and home properly.
