For rock/metal this sounds pretty good (not just for the money). Five or so middle of the road pedals set you back as much as the amp costs (if not more). Nice demo.
Both are stellar amps but the champion 2x12 is best suited for cleaner and edge tones. The code amps are by far more convenient but the campion has over all better tone because it’s best suited for one style and is a lot louder. You should try chain them together. That’s when the tones get crazy…
I'm still figuring this out but I only got the amp about 4 weeks ago and only started footering about with it in the last few days. I got the phone app connected to it just yesterday and it makes things so much easier. This kind of thing wasn't around when I first started playing 35 years ago and since then I haven't played a big lot. I even stopped completely in 2015 and so picking up the guitar again just recently was pretty strange. Amazingly I still remember things I used to play although I am a bit rusty. I'd like to be able to record myself with the idea of playing a rhythym track first and then playing lead over it - any ideas of what way I could do this and what gear I might need? Bear in mind, I'm pretty clueless about this new fangled technology.
I noticed on your custom preset JVM lead that you have no distortion loaded. Are you using a pedal and not the distortion from the amp? Also, what are your amp settings for bass, treble and mid?
All the sounds are coming just from the Code, no pedals or any other extras were used! The JVM Lead preset has the amp settings visible at 4:01. The gain is at 9.5 as you can see, so I simply just didn't need to use the distortion effects!
Well first of all, is your signal chain okay? Master volume up, cables plugged in? If that's checked, maybe you have some settings on that should be off. For example, the distortion pedal is off because the level of it is at 0. Do you have it accidentally on?
@@ArttuAunola with the delay preset, did you change anything to make it sound “louder”? I don’t think my delay is as loud and want it to be the same volume as the normal notes, do you know how to do this?
Yeah I think so! This holds up to acoustic drums pretty nicely. It's been a while since I had the opportunity to try it, but I remember not having to turn everything to 11 in order to hear myself. It's just a matter of finding a tone that suits you and the genre of choice. If that works out, then the answer is sure! 🙌
@@ArttuAunola thanks man I appreciate the input, we have a PA system for this gig thankfully which I'm told I won't have to turn up the amp very much since it will be micced up
@@ArttuAunola thanks man means a lot 🤟, final question I swear lol but what settings and EQ would you recommend I dial for a live situation? Mainly looking for a good chunk thrashy tone if possible, I have an EQ pedal I hear would help but I'd appreciate any input. Thanks again for all the help
You could do a shootout between the high gain tones I showcased starting from 3:05! The NWOBHM (preset #87) is pretty thrashy if you ask me. See which one you like the most, maybe dial it in a little more if needed and that's probably it! I also did a video of the amp in a full mix if that could help you! ua-cam.com/video/DkccfiO9uow/v-deo.html
I didn't personally have any problems with it as I monitored my playing through the amp itself. I think the lag only happens if you use external speakers for the job 🤔
I also had some problems with it at first, but I guess I was just doing it wrong haha! There's a really short and great video on it from Marshall. ua-cam.com/video/NKR6jRn5Nfg/v-deo.html
That whole lead bit is from an old video of mine! It's an original solo I wrote on top of the main theme from the Halloween movie series. Here's the link! 😁 ua-cam.com/video/z33iLjb8yKE/v-deo.html

Preset #11 is my favorite dotted delay i think ive ever heard 😭 it was either this or the Fender Mustang. Definitely going this route
Gave you a like just cause the Gojira shirt (good vid too)
You're one hell of a guitar player! Thanks for the video. I look forward to more.
Damn, Jackson with Marshall is the meaning of life though 🤘🏼😅
Couldn't decide between this or the Fender champion. Think I'll get the Marshall code first. Thanks dude
Whatever suits your playing the best! Thanks for checking out the video man 🙌
I’m in the same decision

Hola, se puede tocar en contexto de banda? Tiene el suficiente volumen??
I feel this amp would give a good parkway drive sound
Potresti indicarmi quali parametri e livelli hai usato per fare lo stesso suono di Slash?
Grazie e buona serata 😊
Superb playing, and Marshall always the only tone that makes me tremble in bliss. Is this the Code 25 or the Code 50? Btw, you have a new sub ^_^
i believe it’s code 50
Man that second guitar u were playing it sounded like soda stereo
Hi can i ask you? I'm a relative beginner and I don't know how to set up a combo to the song Bro anthem by Pennywise
nice amp, i got one but such a shame you can't put your own IRs on the thing
can this amp produce a good sound for modern metal or djent? I'm planning to replace my mustang lt25 with it.

You're welcome, thank you for watching the video!
I created a patch of what I thought was a replica of your 98 JVM Lead patch. I uploaded it to my amp, but I get no volume. Any ideas what I did wrong?

Yo how did you get preset at 3:53
Just go to the 93rd stock preset! It's not edited at all, so it's the exact same on all of the Code amps! 😁
