Finke Rally 2022 - Sparesbox Geiser Bros G6

Tatts Finke Rally! what a stunning weekend, the scenery, the weather, the people, and the atmosphere are the upsides of the event, not to mention the high horsepower trophy trucks and motorcycles!!
This year Paul Wheel and Andrew "Rapid" Reid were behind the wheel of the Geiser Bros G6 Trophy Truck and SparesBox was along for the ride, plastered down the side of the vehicle in support of the team!
The weekend started off with Prologue and Qualifying where the truck was faultless. The team regrouped for Race day 1 having qualified 20th the day before, Paul got into the rhythm of things and was setting a great pace, all of a sudden they lost throttle and had to pull off the course. Further investigation showed a faulty fly-by-wire throttle sensor. The team made it back to the pits to fix the sensor and get back out to compete on day 2 which was the road back to Finke. Unfortunately, another one bit the dust, and the problem showed itself again. to prevent further damage to the vehicle Paul and Rapid decided to retire the car. The team will be back next year stronger than ever.
