EVOlution... impressive to see that chassis still winning in different motorsports races.
So fun to see unlimited use of wings and aero. Well done to the sanctioning body to let the fans see a car at its full potential. Looked like a fantastic event. Aussie's really know how to have fun with cars.
Evos took 1st in almost all of the categories. The platform is just an animal.
The Evo is just an absolute race weapon no matter which discipline of motorsport you build it for. Drag racing, time attack, rally racing, hillclimb racing, you name it and an Evo will dominate the competition with a good driver.
@@Cynsham agreed, more versatile than gtr or supra.
Maybe the Mitsubishi execs needs to keep there on eyes on this....
I think the evo had better gearing just with when the upshifts and downshifts where on track sounds silly but summitbi noticed
Wrong. None of the categories where it came first.
Man, with those ultra stiff suspensions to offset the huge downforce, the drivers' bodies sure do take a pounding over the bumps! Watching the top cars virtually running flat through T1 is just awesome.

Racing at night is so dope! And I’m sure the night is cooler and probably better for power. You guys get all the amazing cars we never got in the states. I always gawk over the sight of all those jdm cars! 🤘🔥

Motorsport in Europe has done something very wrong, I'm very bored today.
Then I see these Time Attack machines, they're very entertaining.
I also did check the lap records of this track, and then it's just mind blowing how fast these cars are.
7 seconds faster than a GT3, 4 seconds faster than the overall lap record.
Not sure what the budget of these cars are, but considering the budgets of what the FIA uses, I think it should have been possible.
Group 5 was a big succes with the Ford Capri Zakspeed, Porsche 935, BMW M1, ...

the reason gt3 is slower is because they're supposed to be """cheap""" and easy to drive.
these things are raced purely for the fun of it, there's very little financial incentive and almost no brand exposure for big manufacturers.
in my humble opinion it's a good thing we don't see manufacturers turn up and out spend everyone else by hundreds of millions here.
@@kantina4765 I just found the prices of both, the most expensive Time Attack cars cost the same as the cheapest GT3 Cars. Around $400.000, The Italians even cost around $700.000.
That's just the base GT3.
@@stuntslikeeveryday yeah that's why I put the quotations round it. in all fairness the gt3s are able to run for 24 hours without blowing up but still, racing a ferrari is always gonna be more expensive than it's worth lol.
@@kantina4765 my point was that it can be way more spectaculair with a smaller budget, I rather would watch a race of 10 minutes with these cars then 24 hours with cars that miss the wow-factor.
@@stuntslikeeveryday I'm agreeing with you, even the so called pinnacle of motorsport is both slower and more expensive than it has any right to be.
Think it helped tires and times running the heavy aero load cars at night? Seems like they struggle to not overheat/overload them things. The way that Tilton Evo turns is wild. Never seen another fwd based awd rotate like that.
When my brakes start squeaking I'm just gonna imagine I've got carbon ceramics on. By the way it's a tiny Honda Jazz

Great video, deserves way more views. Also great to see so many women heavily involved. From team owner, to active in the garages, to female spectators crowding over the cars.
Also the RP968 entering the first corner is just pure awe.

Moi quand j etait gamin je voulais que des majorette en petites voitures pour jouer je me rapelle que j avait une camaro z28 que j avait toute demonter pour l adapter à mon circuit 24 mais voila elle sortait dans les virage parce que mon bricolage bha l empêcher de tourner elle foncer et dans le virage parter dans ma tete en tonneaux c etait le bon temps ou l argent n etait pas un soucie

The amount of testosterone in this cinematic masterpiece is simply unwordable, I do not hold the honor of speaking of it, I've grown whilst observing this... this... what shall it be named I wonder, I have ascended into an all seeing creature ahh what these giant metal boxes that move fast can do to us, I am glad that I have joined this community riding in an ER34 Skyline. I am glad that my origin was a simple shitbox, ahhh yes if I remember correctly the box that carried me was 89 CRX and I've moved companies to Toyota with the infamous MK3 Supra, and once again I move to Nissan with this metal box that puts a smile on my face, an empty passenger seat though... ahhh, I've had nobody to appreciate the metal box like how I do... until I met other Skyline lovers now I've found my place at home with the same people addicted to the same drug as I... speed, I truly am glad I joined this community.

@@ronin5217 No drag is better on straights, but they need downforce to take corners faster. You wouldn’t tell an F1 team they don’t need their aerodynamic devices because that would be ridiculous.
