Knowing at some point, I’m gonna be on the finke track at the same damn time as you n Toby!!!! I mean it’s a dream n a half to race finke, but to do it with the two of you there is something else.. I lost both legs after getting zapped by 19,000 volts 3 times in a row, the surgeons said I’d walk again and I told em every time, yeah to my bike. I sold my story to buy an old 450 I met a dude to help sponsor me. It’s going to be hard as hell my body’s stuffed I can hardly sweat or regulate heat I need help to cool down but none of that matters. Ill race without it. Your will and determination and courage is nuts your true blue mate. Thanks for ya time guys.
@@caratatnell36 my bike ended up needing a top end rebuild, water pump rebuild n put the steering dampener on but I ran out of time so I won’t make it this year and I’m absolutely gutted!! I’ve worked my guts out pulled all nighters but I just couldn’t get it done in time, it’s a real shame. The team mates gone up so give him luck! He’s bike 197 and a great guy! He’s done a lot to get me to the race but I fortunately it just just can’t happen but that means I’ve got a year to get myself and the bike ready for next year. I’ll have no choice but to push myself for first place then to make up for missing this year. I was really really looking forward to being there to inspire you all but my thoughts will be with every rider throughout the event. I wish everyone the best of luck and a safe journey….
Haha no one else would wanna enter if they knew how fast Benny n Toby ride.. that and ktm desert race Australia is a great setup team the new bike is sick it’s been redesigned it’s all round better. I’ll be on a wr450 from 2004 and 2 prosthetic legs but I’ll racing the Tatts finke dessert race this year. It’s been a dream since I was a kid. I grew up knowing about Anthony Caldecott and seeing his bikes I met him at a show in Adelaide as a kid. This year… I’ll be joining a very exclusive club…

The amount of knowledge you have to have to go this fast in the Dez is on a level only top motorsports competitors would understand.
