UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR FATHER HAS TAKEN YOU INTO HIS FAMILY
Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins, . . . and he is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the congregation, and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; so that in all things He might have FIRST place. Colossians 1:12-18 (NASB)
- The reality: You were in the domain/kingdom of darkness, but now brought into the light
- The opportunity: We’re now on the winning team, keep Jesus priorities in front
UNDERSTAND THE FUTILITY OF ACCUMULATING STUFF
Don't store up treasures on earth! Moths and rust can destroy them, and thieves can break in and steal them. Instead, store up your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves cannot break in and steal. Your heart will always be where your treasure is. Jesus in Matt 6:19-21 (CEV)
- The world hangs ever-changing trinkets in front of us to dazzle and distract
- Reaching for them is a never-ending obsession
UNDERSTAND THE FOOLISHNESS OF PLEASING THE WORLD
As believers, you have turned from your own desires and want to obey God . . You have already lived long enough like people who don't know God. You were immoral and followed your evil desires. You went around drinking and partying and carrying on, you worshiped disgusting idols. 1 Pet 4:2-3 (CEV)
- People pleasing is a never ending cycle of putting God in 2nd place
- Time spent with believers putting God 1st is what God uses to mold & encourage us
GRAB HOLD OF WHAT GOD HAS FOR YOU TO DO
For we are God's workmanship, created in Messiah Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do Ephesians 2:10
- God has gifted every believer; those gifts can be used for the Kingdom
- The opportunities often align with our interests
- God has “shovel-ready” jobs with Your name on them

Mottel Baleston was born into a Jewish home in New York City and attended Jewish and public schools there. He came to faith in Messiah Jesus after reading the Messianic prophecies in the Jewish Bible.
He is Director of the "MESSENGERS OF THE NEW COVENANT", communicating the Good News of Messiah to the Jewish community, discipling Jewish believers
and educating Christians concerning the Jewish roots of their faith. He has served as Messianic Rabbi of a Congregation in New Jersey, as well as a Hebrew class instructor. His articles appear in Ariel Magazine, and his teaching videos on several online venues.

Hello Laura, I hope you're sitting down, because just 25 minutes from you is the Ariel Ministries Messianic Jewish Summer Bible School on their Shoshanah Campus. Between AuSable Forks and Keeseviile, off 9N. Classes from early July through Labor Day. I teach there, and have been doing that for many years. Oh, thank you so much! I know about the camp, but the cost is prohibitive for me. I did not know that the evening classes are free, so what a blessing that will be. I was hoping that you were going to say that there was a Messianic "church" somewhere here in the ADKs. Unfortunately, there are no scriptual churches in KV, only one that is open and affirming of homosexuality and abortion, with gay music directors and "pastors" and a female "reverend" who reads Islam poetry and calls God "she." Then there is a Catholic church--very beautiful and seductive to the undiscerning, but idols everywhere and offering up Yeshua for sacrifice on the altar mass after mass. As a Christian, I can not morally participate in that, I know. There's a nice Baptist church in Lake Placid that I will attend. Meanwhile, I watch your teachings and the service at Beth Yeshua in Georgia. I need to be a part of a congregation though, I know. Pray for me. God willing, we shall meet this summer.

Through you, God has answered my prayer. I have listened to some of the online sermons from the pastor at this church today. Finally, someone local who teaches truth and the need for repentence and belief in the Good News. This is a God-centerered place of worship, not a people-centered social gathering. This is where I will go. God has blessed me through you. God is true to His word. I have supported One for Israel ministry through financial offerings and prayers for several months now. I remember seeing your testimony on their channel. Now He has bessed me through you whom I have never met. I am in awe of the Holy One of Israel and am grateful to be graphted into His family.
Hello again Laura, Excellent, good to hear you will visit Westport Bible. Re the Ariel School, to attend the two evening classes on any given evening, you will just need to call the Campus office and let them know your name and which evening or evenings you would like.
