Great video, many thanks! Someone on UA-cam recently told me that I shouldn't say Yeshua because the Jewish spoke Aramaic at that time, not Hebrew, and he gave the name in Aramaic (which I forgot but it was very short, like in Arabic). But it seems to me that only Yeshua means God's salvation/God saves? And it's so much more meaningful. Also my ESV B ible notes has a note "Or Aramaic" whenever the Gospels mention Hebrew (as on Pilate's sign on the cross, for instance). So it's not simple. If you read this, would you comment? Was this person right or were names always in Hebrew irrespective of the language spoken by the Jews at that time? Re Luke it's interesting that the Anglican Bible commentator, Matthew Henry, didn't think Luke was a Gentile. It seems to be a modern thing, based on one verse, which can be interpreted differently.

I think it’s a good thing people hear abt YESHUA every December 25 even if the roots of Christmas are pagan. But isn’t everything pagan? Sports teams?
