What does the pressure plate do on the throttle rod flywheel? I can swear the flywheel did not have a pressure plate with spring attached, it just has the disc with cut out in it. Any help would help. Ty
Hey just had my carburetor cleaned and I've placed it back on my 1952 Fergusson TO30 but it won't start. The fuel lines are fine but I noticed that the bottom part of the carb isn't getting any gas. I unscrewed the drain plug and not a bit of gas came out. Any experience with this yourself and/or advice you could offer.
My ferguson TO 30 will start but not keep running. Sometimes run a few seconds or several minutes. Filter screen in side gas tank is clean. Fuel flowing good thru line good. Fresh Gas. Any ideas ? I'm in Mississippi, sounds like you are close.
I got a Ford tractor N2 w/ a Marvel Schibler TSX that's leaks at the bottom thru the air horn drain? ( next to the regular drain plug). Manual parts # plug 9N9692 & strainer 9N 9694A! In my case I noticed a plug w/ small hole on the center that may be removed w/ a small Allen tool! ( rebuild kits don't bring this 2 parts). I need ur or anyone else Advice.! ( can I plug this hole & what kind of material can I use. Thank's!
Ideally you'd find another carb on e-bay or somewhere. But if not, I once used JB Weld to "fix" stripped threads on a carb - never a good alternative. Unless you can find a heli-coil insert or tap the hold for a larger carb screw, start looking for a replacement.
Mike, Thanks for the reply! It was most helpful! I noticed that the carb in your video didn't have a float spring like my TSX 765? I am having problems figuring out how mine came out during dissassembly as well as if it really has any purpose? Any suggestions?

the old cast iron carbs 😮😮 do rust up bad some times U can heat them and get the rust out then again U can't get another carb and be done it will save alot of head ache if the gas tank has rust that doesn't matters none either U will be right 👉 😮 back where U started from IVE have took tractor 🚜 gas tank 2 the car wash and still couldn't get the rust out 😮😮 either nothing else 2 do put a inline clear gas filter on the tractor this will help gas tractors wouldn't run W the carb has dirt or water 💦 😮 in it IVE seen this be 4 take the carb off and a part clean it out and put back 2 gether then the tractor 🚜 😊 runs again and the gas 2 day is no good either it's JUNK its worse now than what it was be 4 😮😮 OMG 2 29 2O24

I've got a tsx 991 and I rebuilt it and it won't give fuel the bowl fills but no fuel on a miller welder ant thoughts?

Which is a better needle and seat....the one with or without the clip that attaches on the float? This is for tax-765
