Idk how i feel about this. I mean, it isnt like they would be bringing back dinosaurs, they would just be creating genetic creatures that look like what we think dinosaurs look like. I think our best idea is to focus on bringing back animals we caused to go extinct like the dodo, mammoth, thylacine etc.
To play devils advocate, people protesting the ethics of something like this would probably bring up how humans should not be altering the genetics of animals, its usually not very good for their health and alot of animals will probably suffer and be experimented on through the testing phases of bringing them back, almost like how we made pugs and now they all have to suffer because people thought it would be cute to have a small dog with a pushed in face. That and religious people really don't like the idea of creating life. but me, I couldn't care less, I wanna see some dinosaurs before I die
I mean, you see avian dinosaurs every day. This alleged project would only create misshapen, unnatural avian dinosaurs who don't fit into any ecosystem and would basically be circus freaks for humanity to gawk at.
@@enderman_666 good point, but seeing a bird isnt like seeing something that has an even closer resemblance to a creature that existed during the Triassic, Jurassic, or cretaceous periods. Even just knowing that humanity can eventually have the ability to make extinct creatures is amazing, even if it's not as good az you imagined it to be.
@@enderman_666 You are actually right. When you said ''unnatural avian dinosaurs (...) would basically be circus freaks for humanity to gawk at'' I realized it feels depressive. But you know, there are always those people saying ''We are humans, on top of everything, and we can do anything we want''.. cant change their mind.
I was actually writing a story idea about taking large flightless birds and using gene editing to slowly evolve them into some kind of dinosaur like creature. Set in Australia which has both the Emu and Cassowary. I drew some concept art and it was quite creepy to imagine such a thing existing.
Personally, I think this is a cool idea, but to quote Ian Malcolm "Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should."
Hes going to the moon, mars, making an entire internet and building electric cars, selling flamethrowers and thinking about mechs, and now he wants to make jurassic park

Also I was all onboard the idea of the mammoth and chicken dinosaur. After actually listening to people who explain the extreme challenges to such a dream I have to say I'm convinced we won't get a dinosaur. We will get a genetic abomination that dies almost instantly or suffers its existence only with extreme medical intervention. It's not going to be like jurassic park. It's going to be like a medical drama horror. At least for a long time to come. A very long time.

Well there only just 2 films in which there is an actual Dinosaur Theme park. The first failed because people didn't respect the animals enough and ofc Dennis Nedry and Lewis Dodgson. The second failed because the scientists became mad with genetic power and the managers became greedy thus created a hyoer-intelligent genetic abomniation that didn't act like a normal animal and killed for pleasure and fun.

Same thoughts. I mean we can make some T-Rex’s with the ability to kill people. But it’s not like they’re immortal or have plot armor. Though escaped species can become invasive, that would be a difficult problem to solve. Just look at Florida.

Three things. One, look up Novosaurs. New lizard. Two, Yes. We can make our own new dinos. Or at least we're on track to being able to do it. I've even started compiling a list of possible said Novosaurs. The Chickenasaurus isn't directly one of them. But I'll show what I got so far. Oh boy this is long.
Cassoraptor- Modified Cassowary based off of Corythoraptor with some Deinonychus inspiration. Meaning: Kasu(Papuan)-Horned, Raptor(Latin)-Thief
Paluvenator- Modified Shoebill with some inspiration from Elaphrosaurus and Therizinosaurus. Meaning: Palus(Latin)-Swamp, Venator(Latin)-Hunter
Mantibecus- Modified Pelican with Ikrandraco and Pelecanimimus inspiration. Meaning: Manticae(Latin)-Pouch/Pouched, Beccus(Latin)-Beak
Novoparavis- Modified Red-Legged Seriema with Kelenken and some other extant and extinct large bird inspiration. Meaning: Novo(Latin)-New, Pavor(Latin)-Fear, Avis(Latin)-Bird
Mimuspteryx- Modified Sandhill Crane with Ornithimimus, Struthiomimus, Great Blue Heron, Velociraptor, and Deinonychus inspiration. Meaning: Mimikos(Greek)-Mimic, Pterygion(Greek)-Feather
Unicusavis- Modified Hoatzin with Archeopteryx, Confuciusornis, Anchiornis, Caudipteryx, and Microraptor inspiration. Meaning: Unicus(Latin)-Unique, Avis(Latin)-Bird
Vulcanoraptor- Modified Cinereous Vulture with Velociraptor and some other Dromaeosaur inspiration. Meaning: Vulcanus(Latin)-Volcano, Raptor(Latin)-Thief
Tyrannopericlus- Modified Chicken with Kiwi Bird, Raptorex, Tyrannosaurus, Daspletosaurus and other Tyrannosaurid inspiration. Meaning Tyrannikos(Greek)-Tyrant, Periclitatus(Latin)-Endangered
Mortaraptor- Modified Bald Eagle with Allosaurus, Utahraptor, and other Dromaeosaur inspiration. Meaning: Mort(Latin)-Death, Raptor(Latin)-Thief
Disegmesaurus- Modified Frilled Dragon/Chlamydosaurus with Troodontid, Dilophosaurus and Jurassic Park Dilophosaurus inspiration. Meaning: Di(Greek)-Two, Segmentum(Latin)-Frilled, Sauros(Greek)-Lizard
By the way that was all copy and pasted from a Google Doc if anyone thought I wrote that all out now. Anyway I wont go into too much detail for each one unless asked. But I will say Mortaraptor is my favorite.
Now for the 3rd thing. Should we do this? I have my ideas, theories, questions, solutions, etc. I see advantages and disadvantages. I've done some research. For me I'm leaning towards yes(But don't take my opinion as credible at all... for the most part.) But still it's up to you to make your own opinion. And with that.... I don't know.... um... don't get eaten?
Imagine just waking up and you look outside and you see a velociraptor eating a mouse outside your house I would be shaking
Klayton...are you ok? Cuz im sure every film and game explains why this isnt a good idea.

Imagine if Elon Musk actually brought dinosaurs back from extinction the whole world would go nuts!
Definitely
Elon is such a hype machine.... He knows what to say to add to his public approval......
Ah yeah, "ooh, aah", that's how it always starts, but then later there's the running and the umm...screaming.
Good news, we will get to see real living dinosaurs in person and on screen. Bad news, visiting that zoo will cost a lot.. (plus the flight and hotel stay when you live far away). Better start saving some extra money until then.
Yeah but he wont... hes should st8ck to cars
I low-key wish people would stop using that tired meme saying there's 5 films that show why this is a bad idea. Only two of the films were set in an active park. One was set in an abandoned park for less than half of the film and the last two, in the list not last two films, were set at an abandoned breeding facility
Boy oh boy here's three jp quotes for you
Amanda Kirby: Is this how you make dinosaurs?
Dr.Alan Grant: No this is how you play god.
Dr.Ian Malcolm: God creates dinosaurs, God destroys dinosaurs, God creates man, man destroys God, Man creates dinosaurs.
Dr.Ellie Satller: Dinosaur Eats man, woman inherits the earth.
John Hammond: I'm not making the same mistake again.
Dr.Ian Malcolm: No your making all new ones.
See the problem Elon Musk This is how you get killed by dinosaurs while playing like God.
If they make anything close to a dinisaur park, I would be soooooo happy. As a kid I always wanted to see a real life dinosaur.
I mean, you see avian dinosaurs every day. This alleged project would only create misshapen, unnatural avian dinosaurs who don't fit into any ecosystem and would basically be circus freaks for humanity to gawk at.
@@enderman_666 dumbass he talking about Jurassic dinosaurs or the other time periods
@@enderman_666 good point, but seeing a bird isnt like seeing something that has an even closer resemblance to a creature that existed during the Triassic, Jurassic, or cretaceous periods. @@enderman_666 You are actually right. When you said ''unnatural avian dinosaurs (...) would basically be circus freaks for humanity to gawk at'' I realized it feels depressive. Listen, Mr. Musk. You thought a single car tunnel that would make it difficult for emergency vehicles to get through was a good idea.
